I've been saying that since Adele's album came out. I feel Tamar's album is better than Adeles' but received less than a quarter of the recognition.

Tamar has sooo much potential to be in a league with Mariah, Whitney, and even big sis Toni. If she takes care of her voice and gets the right songs along with toning down all the antics and theatrics to draw in a wider audience she can definitely get there and I want her to SO BAD!!
Right! I agree! Her voice seems a bit fragile (like Mariah's) so all of that working, long nights, alcohol, over singing, etc. can mess with her voice. She never quite lives up to her studio performances, another critique that Mariah has gotten by some people. If she consistently trains her voice then she'll be really good
+MikeJMCarey93 Tamar needs some consistent vocal training. I notice that her technique is unpolished in some areas, especially in this new era. Her belts are sometimes unsupported and her vibrato is shaky. She also raises her larynx way too often, which can put unhealthy stress on the vocals. She has a great voice already, but it can easily be shaped into something exceptional if she gets the proper training.
+MikeJMCarey93 You hit the nail on the head! I always felt that Tamar was like Mariah Carey's protege in terms of work ethic. She needs to rest and take care of her voice before she does some serious damage to it.
+MikeJMCarey93 exactly! I understand being "booked" is what she wants to be but.. if its hindering her from being the best at her first true love, which is singing, then she might have to let something go to get to the top and come back to it once she's left her mark in the music industry.

It honestly makes me so sad that she was robbed of a career in her 20s. She would be on Mariah's level easily by now.

Her voice is so interesting. She has an amazing range and a awesome voice . But i realized when she sings in the group with her sisters her voice is bigger, and clearer. Her tone sounds different as well, it’s almost like it’s a different person.

L Crom ..What does "class" have to do with the tone of someone's voice? That makes no sense. YOU may think Tamar's tone is "annoying", but like the person who made this general comment said, some think it's sexy, and I agree. Some people thought Toni sounded like a man.. (I love Toni's tone) but she can be the most ratchet person on the planet, I don't see how that would take away from her sound vocally, but ok. 🙄

I noticed that Tamar usually belts an F#5 and a G5 most of the time. She throws in a G# here and there but she mostly belts an F# or a high G in her upper register.
***** I don't think that Tamar is a coloratura soprano. She's more of a regular lyric soprano to me. I understand where you're coming from on why you think that Tamar is a coloratura soprano cuz of all the riffs/runs she but I don't think her voice is agile enough to be considered a coloratura soprano.
+Mark Shelton tamar is either a coloratura soprano or a lyric soprano with coloratura abilities.. tamar so can also sing higher then a f6 so i think she is a coloratura soprano

In this era she was recovering from a Voice surgery she almost died. After 2016 and also in in 2019 her Tone really get pleasant again. Her Voice was not in a healthy shape in 2014 to 15
