Great idea. But, Price's Law of Storage states 'For every shelf there exists enough junk to fill it thrice over'.
The tool list you show is missing clamps, these shelves are prettly hard to assemble inplace without them.
Thanks for bringing that to my attention! It's updated
If you are like my family, the junk in those boxes has not been looked at in the past 10 years and no one in the family would even know if they were hauled off instead of being stored and wasting space. :-)
This hit deep
Nice looks great!
Very nice !!🥰
This could lead to a Career for You! I come close but am too old now but learned from You! Well done, go for it, give a good price and many Home Owners will be so glad but make sure they pay well and tell them NOT TO CLUTTER ANY OF YOUR WORK! I would not, rather die but not to-day just yet!
Looks good! I feel super lazy now.
The day’s still young!
Your next video should be “How to build sawhorses”.
That’s on the list! Thanks Vanchester
Too good
Great job I need something similar for my garage . Question to you and working guys in comment section , is it possible to make this exact 2x4 strong shelf’s and add face frame of some kind and put nice doors on it to and paint to make it more presentable for personal taste ? Or these kind of shelves u cannot our doors ? If you can put doors then should be out of plywood or mdf? I am going for strong shelves like this from inside and nice modern doors and face front for appearance only to match rest of my garage ! Any help is appreciated
John, your cut at 8:14, what were those for?. Supports for the shelf panels?. I could not make out where they went. Looked like they were 2x1. This is what I need. Have not got to the point to get rid of alot of stuff. But in need of two of these for the moment. Thank you for the video. Makes it look easy and I am just sitting here.
Those were small strips of ply to complete the shelving tops. Because I was using recycled ply from previous projects, my cuts were a little wonky
Uy I want to do THAT, can you tell me the size of the screws u used?
Dimensions?
Why completely disassemble? You could move it in fewer pieces.
My next spot already had shelving in the garage, so I ended up using these pieces to build something else
Man that’s an awesome idea, great job 👍
Thank you!
What’s that divot in the middle two by four for?
It's repurposed wood from another job. The divots were already there from whatever he made with the wood before.
never saw the level as he was building
Who uses a level these days?!
Just kidding... I definitely used a level
i mean why its not a open concept shelves ? why u put the middle leg in the front ? it look ugly.. cut 2 45 degree for both side of the shelve to give it support. lol just my own opinion
What camera are you using?
Rebel EOS 7
what are those clamps called that you used to hold up the top shelves
Bar clamps. I can post a link for you tomorrow, but you can easily find them on amazon. You’ll need to buy some threaded pipe from your local hardware store to use with them
?!!??!!??!!?
Do you have plans for this that are accessable?
Not yet, sorry!
