I have a bottle and enjoy it neat. Wonderful smoky hint without being overwhelming. Nice chocolatey note. Hard to find stuff. Jeff Walsh seems to have relocated to Waukegan, IL. The newer bottles say "Waukegan". I really recommend it.

Perhaps a video on how to smell and taste whiskey. I'm thinking in particular of how to train your nose/tongue to pick up all those very specific notes and flavors. Of course, I can tell right away that a whiskey is peaty or sweet, but I don't get notes of pear orchards or figs, lol.

$40 in the Boston area- worth $65+ in my book. Think in a year it’ll be even higher.
Yeah, i think you're right. Seems like a lot of Bourbons are starting to see some crazy price hikes. Stock up while you can get it at $40 a bottle! Not like extra inventory will go bad :)

Haha Thanks! I assume Oppidan's probably got a pretty small distribution footprint or something! It was tough finding many reviews of it in the first place, aside from Rex and Daniel doing a wee review over on the Whiskey Tribe. But if you do happen to see it, and it's under $40 USD, might be worth giving it a try and a review of your own!
