I’m on the bonus tracks and completed all ctr and cnk maps
I’ve finally unlocked the master wheels, it took me a week, but it would’ve taken me longer if I didn’t watch most of your clips because most of these maps are very difficult but I never have to do it ever again
Seeing you on face cam, can’t even tell you got angry with this challenge! I was almost breaking my whole house to beat Emperor Velo. 😅😂

IMO it's best to attempt them while you are calm. Otherwise you are prone to making more mistakes than usual. :)

Seriously, congrats for this. It's been helpful dude, I got inspired to try beating dev trial at Oxide Station and finally did it after 3 hours of hard struggling. Never thought I could take that blue fire this far. Thank you!!
Glad this helped. Oxide Station is indeed difficult for some. The key there (at least when I was still learning to maintain blue fire) is to use the terrain to perform Air Brake / U-Turn as I discussed in my OS Blue Fire Tips.

I’ve noticed that the dragon mines karts change timings. Mine were coming a little bit later than yours and that made it hard for me in the final lap where I had to stall a bit to let the kart pss
Yeah, gotta get lucky with the kart cycle although a friend of mine recommended skipping the track intro after 2 seconds for best cycle.
I did it, what a great challenge :D :D. Some tracks are incredibly difficult. And if i will have a son, i'm definetly not gonna name him William, otherwise i will have a Megamix mania flashbacks :(

Does your character really matter other than personal preference? It’s the driving style that matters or do I not understand properly? I just started a few days ago and am working on 100% adventure mode on medium right now.
You know what I would love know is the dev time process like when said dev is racing to get the best possible time they can do they have to make a tiny mistake to leave room enough for a player to beat the time or is it just a level of skill

I know. Just look at the time difference of Velo's ghost and Dev's ghost in Dragon Mines. I thought they would go only for 1:21 or 1:22 but holy 1:19:XX? I was surprised myself haha.
The Dev Times aren't going anywhere so if you feel like it maybe try them again soon. No need to pressure yourself atm.

I used Speed for the majority except for Tiny Arena where I used Turn.
This doesn't mean you have to go with Speed all the way too. A lot of dev times can be beaten with Drift. Though for some like Crash Cove, it is easier with Speed than Drift.

Press F for WumpaLewis' attempts when you watch the Polar Pass run. (if no one know or missed smt: he already done that track, so do not worry 'bout him. Just took him many attempt, that's all, whilst Kindred makes it so easy, his turns not only sick for me but sharper(?) and more smooth)
Private lobbies against really good players that I do before I end my live stream has helped me greatly improved over these past months -- so I am grateful to those people who have always played with me.
Anyway it's not impossible. It may just take more time for some people. 👌

Might be a silly qestion but are some characters faster than others? I feel like I'm faster with ripper roo compared to crash and I'm racing with the same type of kart

I use the arrow keys. I also highly recommend using those for easier ultra turning tech.

trying to beat oxide on dragon mines does any1 know what class you should use without using the shortcut and what class if you do want to use the shortcut ?
Drift is your best bet for both. Also if you can learn the U-Turning tech, it will really make it easier for you to beat Oxide. No need to take the shortcut. Check it here:

I just started playing again after like halg a year and tried crash cove today but i guess i need to learn some more tricks to cut down those last 0.53 seconds. going to beat those times in my free time now

Hmm Turbo Track, Papu's Pyramid, and Thunder Struck? Mostly because I haven't played those in a while now and in Papu's, I was trying to do a perfect grass cut -- which isn't really required.

Which Driving Style was used?

What class do you need to be? Every track William P. is on makes it seem no class helps
Speed / Drift. I suggest Speed if you have mastered the Ultra Turn technique. If you haven't, then Drift will do.

Never tried... It MIGHT be but you'll have to maximize optimizing your racing lines like a WR run. Take this with a grain of salt.
Yes it is possible with Acceleration and Balance. It is even possible to beat some with turn
So, droftong actually slows you down sometimes compared to jumping. I just smoked him on a track I’d been playing perfectly. I was drifting and jumping and as soon I was just jumping he was eating my dust.
Perhaps it's because you are taking the shorter distance from point A to B while just jumping. Best example is on a straight path and using Turn Driving Style. When you power slide as Turn, you drift more towards the left / right, correct? So that means if you continuously do it from A to B, instead of saving time, you are adding more. Whereas if you just drive through straight, you cover the minimum distance.
Minimum distance = Shortest time
*Both situations are assuming you have Sacred Fire / Blue Fire
You are mistaken. More air time is always slower; you will often see pros drift over jumps instead of pressing R1
I don't understand how you properly clear the fence. I'm able to make it over every time but ultimately slow even though I keep fire.
Even went and watched your fence shortcut video but you do it differently here!

I believe that it is on purpose too. This is very noticeable in Turbo Track.

I can confirm that it's possible with Drift since someone from my community has been trying it and he is already at Bonus Tracks. Just have to hug walls better than the dev ghosts.

@@Catatafish Ah I see. It's programmed like that so you do not hit the ceiling while you are at Blue Fire speed. Basically you still carry over the Blue Fire that you have before you pass the Turbo Pad ramp.

You can start by mastering power sliding and turbo boosting. Get as many "perfect" boosts as you can. It also helps if you know the shortcuts in each track as there are a few N. Tropy only takes once.
I do have a "beating N. Tropy" video which you can use as a reference for racing lines. I also have a shortcut compilation in my channel if you need it.
For now, my general advice for shortcuts on ramps is to press the jump button once you see your rear wheels has passed the end of the ramp as it allows you to jump higher. Try to maintain the Sacred Fire / Red Fire / Blue Fire for as long as you can. Those are the key points for starters if you want to be faster than Tropy. If you are unfamiliar with the terms, I also have a video about "Quick Guide to Blue Fire and Air Brake".
