You have any advice for converting the .dv files? Ive been using Handbrake but still trying to find the right settings... Or are you using Vegas to deinterlace / convert / edit? I was fairly lucky finding one of these for a nonscalpable price for my vx setup
Sorry for late reply,i had no idea about convert software outside HandBrake, but i’m personaly prefer Handbrake because they are the best choice,or if you’re running old version Macbook or Windows,you can directly edit the DV file to the adobe premiere editing bay,just drag and drop
Yo thanks for making this! I have the same MacBook and it’s not showing up under “Devices”. The file folders don’t automatically appear. By any chance you know what the problem could be?
Any idea if there's a way to do this to a Win 10 laptop (ie: without Lightning port, and w/o firewire)? Windows seems to have decided Firewire never existed 🤔
Sorry but i don't have any experience using Win 10 laptop or newer,yea unfortunetly newer gen laptop don't have firewire port so now it's pretty difficult to transfer footage.so i prefer buy old windows laptop that has firewire port which is pretty cheap these days.

My pleasure 🫶,perhaps you have problem in your firewire cables,try another cable,if still not appear might be some issues in thunderbolt or the port
