Mad scientist level. Does the footage look much different from mini dv once its capture cammed onto a computer? Also ive been out the game for a while with filming but if these aren't for sale they should be. It was getting hard to find mini dv tapes by 2014 I imagine now you have to order them or very few stores still carry them. Walgreens and CVS used to have the good ones in stock all the time, then locally they stopped keeping them.
this firewire recorder has same quality like miniDV tape. Recorder and VX1000 are expensive too. I have not some spare for create new Hybrid for sell, but when someone ask me for creation it I could do it from his parts.
@@strejdafil1218 That makes sense. Like I said I am a little old and don't have a lot of time to film and skate much. My vx1000 is a brick currently (bad heads I think) and my 2100 works but I never use it. That is an awesome invention though.
@@forcemajeur.5138 there are few firewire rocorders on the second hand markets, but you must rig them somehow to camcorders, which is not comfortable all the time. My integration works well, but just with VX1000. On other camcorders are not space for this.
@@strejdafil1218 this is amazing, i really respect the craft, i can only imagine how much time and effort it took to finish this project. The battery solution is also just wow. Almost like this should have been the stock model from sony. Much respect

i have a hvr mrc1, what mount is that that you are using??? first time seeing this, very sick
no mount it is fully integraten in the camcorder.

how did you make the recoder so slim? isn't there usually a battery at the back of the "dock"?
I fully integrated it in to VX instead of tape deck. It use VX baterry for power.
