Level 75 chief bandit pre-big bang but it took me years. I canât believe I would tolerate stuff like 3% an hour at forest of golems or gryphons in NLC
Thinking back to those times it was kinda crazy right, only gaining 3% per hour
Funny cause nowadays at relevant high lvls 280+ weâre getting between 0.8-1% per hour. Granted this is basically near peak end game, but itâs interesting that the grind never really got âfasterâ despite it seeming that way.

got to like 115 pre big bang as an ice lightning mage. was so close to that sweet sweet no cooldown blizzard but alas...
third job was so hype for real though. 2nd job i/l wizard was so hard to do with only cold beam as a big damage skill (which wasn't even that big) and a pretty weak mobbing lightning skill, since i wasn't lukless. third job had ice strike which arguably was the best mobbing skill out of all third jobs since it froze enemies, allowing you to train in much higher level monsters, and lightning spear, which looked sick af pre-BB, and did stupid big damage. also magic booster, seal, and magic amplification were insane. the job advancement was difficult since the crystals cost a lot and guides sucked back then as well as my english vocab wasn't good enough for me to look at english guides so had to seek hebrew ones... nonetheless, a core memory indeed.
damm thats a cool story man, and lvl 115 pre big bang is nothing to scoff at. i also had a I/L mage but only made it to like lvl 43. thanks for sharing : )
I wish I couldâve played pre big bang maplestory as a teenager or adult. I was 8 when I first started playing in 2007 and I had no patience, most days I couldnât even get the game to launch or the file would corrupt and force me to redownload the game on my 15MBPS wifi đ it took me months to get from lvl 10 to 25. I also got to experience 3rd job from an outside view as my cousin used the 3 months off of summer vacation to get his paladin to level 79. Early big bang was amazing though I got a blaze wizard to lvl 43 in couple weeks I was so proud đ

Yes, I made it to 3rd job with cleric. It was so hard because cleric had hardly any damage lol.

I was a 14X bishop and a 12X nl pre-bb, the bishop just plvled the nl 100% of it , i dont think i ever trained on it , i was pretty intense back then , i used to be in the first guild of windia to run zakum, my onky job in zakum back then was to ress and heal lol, it was such a struggle

@@TheScrollguy i wouldnt say top tier lol, i just played a shitton with 2x exp coupons and took advantages of events , some were way ahead of me in every manner , i just happened to main a priest when bishop went out with genesis, so it was pretty much free at that point

I reached like level 78 as a Hermit within about 7 months or so of Maplestory's release. Grinding items just to use my shadow clone was a bit obnoxious. Lmao.

i never made it to 3rd job but i was a lvl 54 Bandit and it is 100% the coolest og class

lol never reached 3rd job either, i just kept exploring high lvl maps for fun (specifically deep sea aquarium) on my lvl40+ f/p mage

I was 93 lvl f/p mage. It very fun doing pqs all day everyday
