Nylon brake lines swell and split. Go to auto store buy real brake lines and braze(solder) the fittings on them. Make them solid because you cant ever have them fail. Best thing you could do for MCP brakes
roger oconnor How do you like your improved TAV2 setup? I personally like it because it made my bike twice as fast. Yeah, those drum brakes suck. They always squeak even though the pads are nowhere near being worn out. If you swap your brakes for hydraulic brakes then upload it. Would love to check it out.
roger oconnor Whenever I get these knock off sets I also buy original comet belt on eBay. It lasts a lot longer than Chinese belts. Actually none of my comet belts failed on me yet. 203589 belt fits like a glove and made specifically for TAV2 with 6 inch driven pulley.
thanks for the part number,actually i have a real comet series 30 setup from a manco go cart and it had a brand new belt. i used the belt instead of the plastic looking belt it came with.
slimshady. The issue is in your master cylinder. Does it have enough brake fluid? Did you properly installed your brakes? Is your master cylinder new or used? Is there air in the system? Flush your brakes and that should take care of it.
Pull it apart and I am betting maybe dirty fluid and or perished rubber seal in the piston. If topping up or bleeding the brake fluid don't mix DOT5 with DOT3 or DOT4. dot 5 is silicon based and 3 and 4 are glycol based. If you don't know what fluid is in it then sample some and mix with a bit of water and if it mixes together it is glycol.

Kadespade I believe we do have some tracks in our town. I'll have to check on that. There's a track about an hour away from us called Sonoma raceway also known as Sears point. It's mostly drag racing. We definitely don't qualify to race in our granny mobiles lol.
Tractor Adventures Sprint cars are cool but they require a trailer. My kid likes dirt bikes and pit bikes much more than any go karts so I guess no sprint cars for us.
If your brakes are hydraulic then check your fluid levels and brake pads. If your brakes are mechanical then check your brake cable and adjust it. Also check the pads to make sure they are not worn out. Let me know what you find. Thanks for watching and commenting.

i just installed the tav 30 knock off kit and a custom exhaust on the baja warrior,the stock brakes will need upgrading to hydraulics in the future

i love the difference in power and being able to climb hills easily now. best 63 dollars i could spend on it

I just installed a new caliper on my hydraulic brake system and I went to test it and it closed but it stayed closed and wont open what could this be?
