      @@PowerRepublic I’m in the Hawaii of Canada, Victoria bc on Vancouver island so we kart year round But we just got 20 cm of unexpected snow.
      And next weekend is the first race in our winter series. Hope things melt by the.
      Keep doing what you do on this channel, you’re helping heaps of people.

    That looked easier than i expected apart from the piston extraction part. I could do with a front brake service vid with the handbrake system as well if possible, although its not a problem yet.

    Great video. Can you please do a specific brake bleed video for BSM calipers. The lack on nipple makes it hard to complete successfully, looking for tips.

      Great idea. Use the gravity feeder or ‘tomato sauce squeeze bottle’ method at get the fluid moving and out of the bleed screw

    Can you do a video on rear axle bearing maintenance. Routine oiling and greasing/cleaning and dust cap removal and when to replace. Something like that.
    I am currently removing my dustcaps to re grease

    Funny timing for the vid, Did a 7hr enduro yesterday (day vid posted) and were up for a brake rebuild (on an Intrepid) as we only had about 10% brake capacity and at mega leg strength needed to get that, were normally one of the best under brakes in the series, made for a long day.

    I’m new to go karting and I’m thinking of starting this year so I’m learning as much as I can about karting. Are all brake systems similar enough to follow the process in this video for any kart, or is there a different process for different brake systems? If they’re different, would it matter much if I followed this process for a different brake system rather than whatever process that system requires?

      hey mate, welcome to the club. karting is super fun. most brakes are the same. I cover Tony kart of corse cause its my favourite go kart in the world. but I have covered arrow (Dent) and intrepid too. check them out as this covers most karts on the market

    Yo I recently bought a shifter kart and the brakes don’t work I’ve taken the brake line off the calipers and pushed the brake to make sure the brake
    Oil is going threw and it does but the pads don’t move at all and I don’t really know what to do about it

      open up the calliper and the master cylinder and replace all the seals and fluid. then re bleed the whole system and you should be good to go

    Hey mate I’ve just got a wild kart and my brakes are fucked do I have to buy the wild kart rebuild kit or are go kart brakes all standard and I can just use any rebuild kit

    I have a crack on the thread of one of the cylinder barrels where you put the adapter for the brake line. Anything I can put to seal it up and make sure it doesn't leak during a race?

      not really, replace the brake fittings or the brake pump if this happens IMO

      But I have noticed that on one side of the Caliper there is a leak on the piston end and I have rebuild the Caliper and replaced all rubbers with new ones. Would the piston be an issue?

    Hey,
    I’m looking for a go kart. I’m from Belgium (17 and a little tall). You allways Review the chassis but does it come with the engine? Do I have to buy the chassis and the engine (cables, battery.. etc..) separately?
    If so can u recommend any completes that they ship Europe? Would appreciate it a lot!!

      Hey , the rolling chassis come as a complete kart less the engine package or tyres. I would get a second hand package if I was you (kart and engine) maybe an x30 or Rotax depending on what is most raced at your local club.

      @@Cafendless Start with a rotax engine. Easy to drive and at @Genk (for derek a amazing track at Belgium) most people drive a rotax there so its always cool to drive against other drivers with the same engines and it isn't that expensive and people can help you if you need some help

    Hey got a quick question, when I changed the pads (which are the same size as the old ones) they won’t fit over the brake disc, and I can’t pull the pads back any further, what can I do?

      I have had that happen too. I run them on some concrete or bitumen carpark and take a few thous off the face. Then they normally slide straight in

    Can u fit a hydro e brake on the cart?
    Would it be possible?

      I think it would be possible but it would add a lot of weight and wouldn't be legal for competition. Curious as to why you want to mount one? Drift kart?

      @@sahib6742 yes drift cart, getting a kart soon in a week or 4 so preparing for things i wanna add to it.
      Im assuming this was a weird question, so he probably wouldn't repond idk,
      Apparently u can fit them, 2 front brakes controlled with your foot brake and the rear wheels with the e brake, but cant have both on the rear sadly.. Just wanted to hear he's thought's since he knows alot about karts.. But yeah..

      @@Cafendless neat idea, I think it would work biggest thing would probably be mounting it to the chassis so it's comfortable and not too tight.

      yes you could. the hand operated hydraulic brake is used for paraplegic drivers. you can buy these off the shelf

    Can the bleed screws be replaced by nipples? How to you check for bubbles when bleeding the system?

      Nah, cause the seat is not tapered to accommodate the taper of the nip

      seals most likely. how olds the system ? sometime the really old ones have too much corrosion inside to repair them

      Yeah that’s never good. Now you can get to it and fix them for him
