I love chassis design as well. My dad started running buller’s chassis’s when he came out with his straight rail in the 90s I believe. Since then we’ve been supporters of his chassis and engines up till he stopped making his last chassis he put out (aero). Then we dabbled with phantom when we bought a nemesis back when I ran the jr classes in the mid to late 2000’s and was hooked with them. Then bought a triton and a recon and both have been amazing karts. Currently in UAS we run a charger legacy, and this winter we’ll be putting together a recon with a bama 250 or 270 on it 😁. Love the channel ben! Keep up the awesome content!!

Back in 97 when I first started racing I had a 1990 shadow gold. I won 360 heavy points at my local track. I got rid of it and I got 94 probe sidewinder. I was thinking that I was top of the class then. I'm 98 I bought a 97 Stratos LT2. That cart was very fast we started going to different tracks and winning. Had to quit for a little while. Sold everything. The following year I bought an ultramax can't remember the name we but it was a 99. Got in a bad wreck. Didn't know if I bent it so got rid of it. Got a 2000 twister. Rode it for 2 yrs then got one of the first Millennium karts. Raced it twice and got a divorce slod everything. Finally got back into it in 2019 on a PRC RECON. Great chassis once I got good tires we were up front again. Well I had the 2022 Millennium Fanatic dropped into my lap. It's an awesome chassis. We are going to Thanksgiving Thunder at GKK the 26th. Hopefully we will have a great finish.

Just added a umax evolve to the stable last week from jc specialties... have it scaled and setup on the baseline numbers ... its #74 made in 2023... cannot wait to see what moving the bolt between the crossbar and engine mount rail to see just how much or less flex itll have depending on location and track conditions it'll show.. just hoping it isn't an overly tire sensitive chassis as some of the other karts of the past have been

I have found that ...I'm old now... and have gotten to own and drive Alot of karts... and kart chassis building is a Art ...when you hop in and drive multiple karts it's really Noticable how bad your kart might be or how good it is ... Some people buy new chassis every year ...some of us crash them and keep them alive for years and years and they do the same thing as a new kart chassis . That's why I love karts 🤠💪

It’s tough sometimes to get the right positioning. I will say not all seats are equal, I’ve had some extremely uncomfortable seats in the past. I do love the Nexgen from Phantom but it might not be the next guys fav. And who knows of there is even a better one out there? All I can say is keep trying. Set the kart on the ground at home and try multiple positions till one feels right.

I also wanted to ask you if you had some basic numbers you would throw at my 11 charger magnum. It doesn’t matter what I do it’s still tight in and loose off. I can’t seem to get the cross high enough maybe that could be the issue. It has a cross spindle that I just changed to a low cross. In hopes of getting more adjustment but it’s still tight. It’s very frustrating when I can hop on another kart and it just works how it’s supposed to.
