Expedition has my vote!
it almost feels like 2019 again! love your channel randy!
whoa!! deja vu all over again!
Randy Recorded 1/2/19 but released a year later
@@miskiborrego TIME WARP?
That STI is gold but it's gonna take some work for sure. Love the WRX's.
The Expedition is an Eddie Bauer edition and oddly has King Ranch logos on the wheels.
Someone swapped out the tires
strange
Absolutely
Maybe the previous owner liked the look of the King Ranch wheels more and just decided to swap them out.
I was gonna say the same exact thing so someone swapped out those wheels meaning he could have bought them with those tires
Hey Randy. Just wanted to say that I love your videos. I really enjoy the walk arounds because you see cars that to most would look totally unfixable but all they need is a bunch of bolt on parts and they’d be good again. I dabble in fixing my own cars myself and your videos serve as inspiration to kind of test myself more and more and expand on what I can do. Keep up the great work and Happy New Year!
Haven’t even watched the video yet and I yet I’m hyped. Randy you always make such informative videos
The Expedition had custom wheels and a system they removed when they got rid of the vehicle. The missing stereo was the tell. The dry rotted tires/wheels on it were bought used as something to put back on it to dump it.
You're thinking of the Ford Excursion. The Excursion had the option of the 6.8 V10. The Expedition had the 4.6 and the 5.4.
@@jerrywilcox9890 Thanks for letting me know.I was unaware that Ford put the V10 in the expedition. Yes the V10 is a gas guzzler. My father owns a 2003 Ford F350 Super Duty XLT Quad Cab with the V10 and only gets around 10mpg. Not the best.
@@jerrywilcox9890 The Expedition never came with a V-10. The Excursion did.
Man Randy I freaking love your channel!!!!!!!
This is slowly becoming my fav channel
BIG AL would love the grand am... The expd seems like a good pick, and I'd take the Subaru rough and all. And big shout out to JESSICA!!! We appreciate your giving Randy a hand and putting up with his sheist. Lol
Get the Ford Expedition!! Great Vehicle! I have one my self 5.4 with 199,800 miles! Almost 200,000 and boy it still runs like brand new!
Thank god because you just saved me a major head ache with that sti im so glad I'm a subscriber have been looking at it on coparts web site and probably would have bid on it universe had my back lol
Great walk around Randy keep up the good job
Thanks for showing cars that are definitely at the bottom of the barrell ,it's great to watch !😀👍
Congrats on 200k subscribers!
YAY! Great start to the new decade Randy!!! Keep this shit up, it's good! Best wishes from Europe. :) Stay away from Mini's. All of them. And the 'light' should you ever be in a tunnel unexpectedly dude. :) Love the new office!! I'm FB'ing you know!! :)
Damn!!the grand am what a throwback I kinda like it though randy they never stop
"we dont have a lot of time"...Proceeds to upload 40min video
I noticed that, I wish he wouldn't apologize to "everything" in advance.
He can post 2 40 minute videos or 4 20 minute videos. Its not about the lenght but the fact that he wont spend as much time with the ones that he's not interested in.
Love it.
He is not editing to much, im not trying to take that he is working hard. But its cool to watch some youtube channel with raw non scripted/edited footage.
lol
Those minis are fun. I have a friend that bought one right out of the lot brand new when we first came back from over seas and this dude drove it like his was in the Italian job movie.
Hello randy I’ve been watching ur channel for alittle over a year now and I love ur content ooh and I’m also watching all the way up in New Brunswick Canada 🇨🇦
Nice work Randy
Ill tell you why that Expedition has those dry tires, someone had some custom wheels alongside the head unit, and they left the original ones in storage. When they got rid of it, they took off those and replaced them with the stock ones, that after a while got dry rotted.
Also about that 135i, that is a good solid car, but those rims are not the rims of a 135. Im thinking it was crashed and someone was fixing it and gave up on it. The rear is indeed missing most of its parts, including the partition that has to be in place to separate cargo from the foldable roof.
It's actually not a 135i, someone rebadged it. Vin shows up as 128i and it doesn't have the twin turbo engine
Love the sound effects. More please.
Seems like you are getting back to your old self. Glad that you are on the mend and props to the Mrs (too soon?)for helping out.
WRX is the only interesting thing today and it needs a full rebuild. But with no shop this thing will be a yard decoration in short order.
Looking forward to the next car reveal vid.
Hopefully you are getting over your old Getman car phase and dumping the SL and that 3 series. But you did look at a Mini... If anything find another Volvo or a Saab. If you're keep on this euro bender mix in some Swedish meatballs with the bratwurst
Happy New Year and hope things keep trending up. Also more vette and Camaro stuff please!
That black Mazda 5 next to the Grand Am was the best one there. Those are fun to drive and very practical. Lots of room and fun to whip around. If you can find a early gen manual, bonus.. That one looks like a first gen.
Love the videos I really like the expedition I owned the same one in red 2004 4.6 E B love it they drive awesome cheap enough will be a great deal even with bad trans, $1500 and under it's worth taking a risk
These Ford Expedition's of that era were the number 4 vehicle traded in for the CARS (Cash Allowance Rebate System) AKA Cash For Clunkers of 2009.
#12 Happy New year brother I hope your Christmas was wonderful. Pass on the good wishes to Tim and your other brother too. Should have him in a video soon. Prayers for your uncle.
I watch his videos because I like him, and It relaxes me.
I used to own a 1986 Pontiac Grand Am GT, White with white steel sport wheels! Loved that car, it would fly!!
Get the expedition!! Those suv are really good, I currently own one and those are a beast to drive. Super comfy. I’d say get it and you won’t regret your decision! 👍🏽
That Ford Expedition, having the 4.6 instead of the 5.4. 👍
Haha "what the hell, kind of cupholder is that" I laughed hard on that one Randy.
A major major major go on the expedition, pretty nice condition considering the age, only concerned I got is the transmission as that could cost a fortune. My parents own a 08 explorer that they bought knowing the transmission had failed, and changed it for around 1.5-2k. It's running as an absolute champ it has over 200k miles
I've got the stock radio from my 03 Explorer you can have for the Expedition, lol.
Thanks for the honesty and review for dammy like me.
My mom had a grand am it was in Miami. Bring back memories
Mini coopers are fun fun little cars specially those 6 speed supercharged.
The 94 Grand Am looks solid 🚘🤔 I know it would be a hard sale Randy. I had a 96 GT ,had head's up & all digital instrumentation blk leather 5speed manual V6 ran nice crazy to still see one LOL Salute thanks for showing! Brings back memories 💯🙌😎
That Expedition will be a fantastic flip!
Randy
Can you consider doing an all episode carnage?
Many of us would appreciate you doing so. Thanks
I second this. Miss the Carnage videos
Expedition looked nice and clean.
The DVD player doesn’t work because of the radio not being installed. I bet the DVD player will work if there is a stock stereo installed.
That Expedition was clean!!! I also didn’t know that the second generation Expeditions came with the 4.6, I thought they all had the 5.4 Triton. I guess you learn something new everyday.
So the expedition tires probably got swapped out man. They Sat outside for awhile
Get to watch my favorite CZcamsr in my birthday‼️
Happy Birthday!
HBD brother have a safe one
Take it ez Randy! That's so you actually get well! Take more rest than you think you need, until all symptoms are gone!
If the Dodge van had matching tires that were good we all know you would of thought about it Randy. Great video keep up the great work 👍
Love the expedition, get it!!!!
The state of that truck behind the Grand Am!
Wow, that Grand Am is a survivor. I haven’t seen one like that in years.
I would love to see a little more of that Ford Festiva in front of it, too.
Yes!!
my mechanic has one and I drool over it. I had a 97 GT myself, I miss that car but wow it folded when i got rear ended
If that had the v6 and was running I would buy it in nothing flat. Too bad it's not the 2 door.
Thomas Smith I loved the Festives and a great friend of mine owned a couple of them in my late teens in the mid 90s that we took a many of road trips in, one the exact same red as that one.
They were inexpensive, not particularly powerful but were a ton of fun. I’d love to find a decent one to buy just to have to drive and remember the good time. That one actually looked like a pretty nice one, too.
I’m glad you had great memories of it, too. There probably aren’t many people who remember the Festiva nowadays.
Here are some other interesting facts. It was originally sold as a Mazda 121 and Kia Pride (which I think was most closely related to the Festiva) and and Iranian manufacturer named Saipa sold them up until 2005!
I believe that our Ford Aspire, the replacement for the Festiva was also sold as a Festiva in other parts of the world.
Even Jay Leno owns one of the original Festivas, sort-of. It’s a highly-modified SHOGun with a Taurus SHO Yamaha V6 mounted in the rear, mated to a 5-speed with RWD. That’s a VERY cool Festiva!

Love the vids and the Pontiac is nice.
Your lovely assistant is correct.
That looks like a real clean Expedition. I would buy that for me if I lived close to Oklahoma City. They are great SUVs.
The Caravan has the 62TE transmission - no dipstick from factory. Since the dipstick tube plug is missing, I'd bet it's there for a blown transmission. Dad had one of this era - trans blew at 144k kms. It would go into gear and make noise on certain gears, then finally it quit moving entirely. That engine is as close to bulletproof as Mopar gets.
YESSS GLAD THESE ARE BACK DEFF HELP MY DAD NOT THINK ABOUT CHEMO LOL!!
THANK YOU!
That car is sick!!!!
Ford Expedition is a great vehicle. EXTREMELY reliable and they are built like tanks. If I were you I’d pick her up. The market for SUVs right now is high. You could make a decent profit
I never laugh at any vehicle on your list. Love seeing those '90s cars.
Those Outbacks sell like hot cakes here in California and Nevada because of their off-road capabilities. They are solid cars. My 03 has 200k miles on in with no check engine. Good base models go for around 4-5k in that mileage. Since that has the moon roof, leather seats and updated radio it must be a limited. Those could sell up to 6k. Both front axels cost 120-180$ for both front axles. I’d try to see if the head gasket and timing was done if your still interested. I made a list of what need to be done at certain mileage starting from 100k:
80-120k - head gasket, timing belt, pully, idler, water pump.
120-140- possible steering pump leak, axle boot, possible airbag recall unless done, coolant and heater core flush also alternator.
140-180 -struts, ball joints, spark plugs, coil pack and accessories belt/refill ac.
180-200 - steering rack(possible leak) valve cover gasket, all lower controll arms, stabilizer, oil pan reseal, coolant hose, and coolant flush, heater core flush.
Forgot to mention those cars can reach up to 300k+ depending on driver and maintenance.
I have an 04 with 5.4 in it. Almost 268k on the odometer, runs great. I'm 2nd owner, bought it with 20k. Love the Expedition.
I picked up a Ford escape from my job the other day with 252k on it for 300$runs great and even still looks brand new so that mileage on the expedition is fair
Hi Randy. The Expedition. I like that BMW too.
That expedition looks really good, I'd get it
I would love to have that expedition I had one and it had the 4.6 in it we drove that thing everywhere definitely one of the most reliable vehicles I've ever owned and I'm not a ford guy lol
Great video
Sti for sure !very easy fix as well
The Expedition looks like a great flip car, you need to get that one. The BMW 1 series convertible is missing trim pieces in the boot and more than likely the sensor that tells the roof it’s ok to come down.
Get the expedition i love those suvs
football gamer facts I have one myself
Yeah i have one as well i have the 5.4 06 i got it for a steal to 4700$ for 89,000 miles it has 114,000 i have to cars but solid suvs.
football gamer Yeah all it needs really from what he showed on the video a new battery and a good stereo system
I love both engines the 4.6 is more reliable but i rather much have 5.4 its more powerful but they shouldve increased the torque more than just 10 pound feet but still solid suvs.
football gamer yes I agree
I have such a soft spot for those Grand Ams- my first car was a red 1995 coupe!
You're starting to sound like Yoda, "Run well it does."
I would say the expedition had aftermarket wheels and someone put an old set of factories on it for trade in
That genesis that was near the expedition looks pretty cool
Definitely the expedition!!
Only vehicle I saw today that looks like it has potential, and looks like it was well cared for is the Expedition. 4.6 engine is nearly bullet proof. My sister had one, maybe the same year. It was nice. Road like a dream. I wouldn't be concerned about the DVD player not working. Tell the kids to use their imagination. Everyone can look at the same screen and watch something different at the same time. Seriously though, the tires aren't a deal killer. Get a set of reasonable price tires. It'll still be a good family car.
You will pay for calling her Tim!!! lol Expedition looks nice if cheap enough.
That expedition most likely had aftermarket wheels on it , im pretty sure they took the aftermarket radio out and took the rims off... randy that's a good SUV, I'll grab her
The radio head unit controls the TV in the back also . I think it had wheels on it like some 22 blades ect...
I thought the wheels were from a King Ranch Expedition
Joseph Alvarado that’s what I thought too
Morning randy🤘 I got my first comment that he was going to unsubscribe. Also I would love to see a mini on your channel but that one looks like it will be a mess. Ty who ever cut open the plastic.
This spec and the hawk eye Subaru still are the most desired its the legacy front from factory very beautiful vechile
That expedition is a stealll
2010 and earlier Mini Coopers have serious engine issues (timing chain guides, carbon build up on valves, etc.). 2011 and later Mini coopers have engine issues, but not as severe (carbon build up less severe, timing issues resolved). They'll still leak oil, and at least one major component will randomly fail after an oil change.
Ford 4.6L also has cam phasers.
0:23 that 1973 Chevy Camaro though 👌 (next to the white F150)
The ford 5.4 complete timing set with a oil pump is inly
Like 600.00 and they color coordinate the chain and while you’re in there change the oil pump water pump. Basically every 100,000 ford timing service with water pump and oil pump gives you a new car. I buy fords all day cuz I work on all of them.
Expedition was standard with the 4.6L Modular V-8 . The 5.4L triton 3 valve and the V-10 were optional equipment. I sold Fords from 1999-2004. I bet they had other rims and tires on it. SO the people kept the stock tires and put them back on it and traded it in.
Randy,
On that white BMW, 2 things, the missing parts are not strange for a BMW, the (broken) cooling system got removed completely, so many hoses are gone because they are mounted onto the radiator assembly. With the power steering system, the same deal, the cooler for the pump and rack, is mounted in the cooling pack, so they had to drain the fluid / remove it from the reservoir.
But, i've also noticed the car has been in an accident before, because the hood is from a non-LCI 3 series (04-08) while the car is from 2010. You can see that because the top part of the non-LCI grille is mounted on the hood of the car, on the LCI it's not ;)
We had a 06 expedition same body engine and trans as the 03 and the transmission went on it and brake lines.
I like the Grand Am and Expedition . 😀
Same!
Expedition might have had custom rims on and they put the old tires back on when they took their system out...don't think that flip down would work without the stereo hooked up either
I'm still thinking about that white Grand Marquis. Loved that white on white.
I’d do the Expedition. Four used tires. A cheap double din radio to keep it modern. Maybe paint the lettering on the tires to enhance curb appeal. And of course; a battery.
Easy flip.
man the Pontiac grand am use to be my fav cars and grand prix
Expedition seems to be a decent project can't beat those 4.6 motors....seen vehicles get over 600k on the odometer if well taken care of
a ford with 600k ON them i find that ard to believe
Expedition could have dry rot on the tires just because a old person owned it and didn't drive it much ... looks good! I'd try it out
1year old, still going strong 💪🏼
Glad I’m not the only one having a hard time getting used to the year being 2020
Hahaha it happens
Great video as always Randy. Ps, your date is wrong I think. 😀
i like the ford expedition thats the good one
Hi Randy, If you like minis look for a supercharged R53 cooper S with the 6 speed, it's a lot of fun with 163,170 or 210 hp (jcw) and it's quite reliable compared to all the other models. Will be a future classic.
I bet that Subaru sti has a blown engine when I saw the Cobb sticker I knew the car was modified. Most Subaru run a Cobb tuner access port to make them faster and you don’t have to worried about getting it dyno tune.
