- I can't say that I ever believed that this was a video I was going to make in my life...I never dreamed of moving countries ever before, but life finds a way of surprising you and showing you what you're truly capable of...
I hope it can inspire, or at the very least, open up the thinking of just one of you đ€

You can't even imagine how important was to hear your words. Thank you for the video, Elena!
Omg Iâm so happy đ
Lots of new information for me, and I am already binging psychoeducation for 15 months. Pedagogues and therapists just arenât cutting it, any CZcams video can surpass the system.
Great video. All the best on your new journey.
Travelling and especially moving to a new country can be stressful and cause anxiety for many people and only heightened for autistic people. Wonderful video which I'm sure will be helpful to many. I'm so impressed with your bravery to undertake such a big change Elina. I'm looking forward to following your experiences in Canada đ. Best wishes from Australia
Youâre so right and thank you for your support đ„Č
@elenacarr0ll sorry I spelt your name wrong Elena and I hope the winter isn't too cold for you there!
You are incredibly brave. All the best and I hope you look back on it as your best choice ever. I travel a lot but hate everything between home and destination then settle in and thrive. Its my adhd and autism at war with each other.
My wife and I immigrated with our 8 month old daughter from South Africa to USA in 1999. It was great until you know who in 2016.
By all accounts Canada is wonderful although I know this does not matter if things are tough within oneself.
Once again good luck and thank you for your videos. I am really benefiting from them.
Congratulations Alanna. Thatâs so exciting. âProgress, success, and feeling proud all look different to different people.â Thatâs an awesome quote. Best of luck on your new journey, Iâm so proud of you and canât wait to hear how everything goes. All the best in your new endeavor.
Aw wow thank you so very much for this đ
Wow and congratulations on your new adventure. I hope you make some periodic videos about the new things and feelings that you experience. I don't know about Toronto but Canada on the whole is a beautiful place on par with New Zealand. So I hope you find relaxation, adventures and meet the many friendly people in Canada.
I went to India for 3 months when I was 22. It was hard and really cool. I learned a lot and am glad that I did it. India is awesome!
22!! Wow that must have been a huge learning curve, good on you
@@elenacarr0ll I admire you moving to another country! I don't know if I could do that!
This video just got recommend to me, and omg, i like ur company!
Thank you so very much đ„č
Very helpful video. Thank you!
Congrats on your growth
You're very inspirational
Stay in touch. Have you been doing the Mindfulness Meditation? Maybe join a meditation group?
Thank you for telling me about the Sunflower. I never knew about that.
Blessings! Stay in touch please! I enjoy following your evolving life story. You're such a wonderful person.
Glad the algorithm brought this video to me. Iâm actually in the process of leaving the United States (I donât want to be here in January, when a certain someone declares himself emperor for life and dissolves the government). Will probably spend some time moving every few months as a tourist from country to country. Being AuDHD, travel feeds the ADHD side of me that craves new experiences and sensory inputs. Love my Loops. Donât have a lanyard, because it makes me a bit uncomfortable disclosing that Iâm disabled to strangers at the airport; maybe I should carry one just to use as needed.
I am planning something similar for my son who is transgender. My wife and I are looking at buying a property near Granada Spain away from busier fashionable places on the coast. This would be for him to stay. He will be moving between this and my brothers home in Portugal if things are bad here in USA. Good luck and although I agree with your plans I am so sorry people are having to resort to this.
Wow! What an adventure! I am glad you had a travel companion :)
How was the 16 hour flight? Did you get to enjoy the view out the window at all? I think your strategy for 'surviving' that trip might be the most useful for people with ASD, since having a meltdown only a few hours in would big trouble for someone.
We have some very peaceful places in Canada, so I hope one way or another you can manage your anxiety/adrenaline levels and can enjoy your time here :)
I hope Toronto works out good for you.
is it for a job or study?
To work âșïž
The autism diagnosis posed no problem when moving to Canada?
Wasnât a factor in any way!
I just got back from France and oh my gosh your experience is so similar to mine when I travel. Thank you for making this video. You make me feel so seen. đ€
