It's the last day of Christmas, so on the feast of the Epiphany, I had an epiphany, and the fortune of a dry day, and cut the grass, to drop some fresh stripes on the front lawn.
Big shout out again to Green Care for supplying the products used to keep the lawn looking schmick in winter.

For the small lawn I have two options.
1 dig out the weed grasses either by hand or using a pro plugger type gismo and reseed.
2 full out killing of of the lawn and reseeding like I did for it last April with great results

Happy New year mate, that bigger side you seeded the day before I did mine is looking fantastic mate. Funnily enough I mowed mine this afternoon as it has been dry for the last two days, but only took the tips off mowing at 35mm, as it is going to be freezing for the next few days.
I have a 5Kg bag of iron I got from green care a few months ago, but not used any of it yet, but may add some to my sprayer and mix with water, to give my lawns their first iron treatment.
Hi Mark, same to you. Yeah it's looking well for January. The back is a right mess thanks to the excessive rain. The little lawn on the front was seeded from scratch last April / May and I used a mix of horticultural sand from B&Q and topsoil from Wickes. was great all summer but now, load of moss, weed grasses and so damp underfoot so that needs a bit of a job in May!
Fortunate to have a couple of dry days, but this time of year it brings the sub zero temps. It was ok at 3 on the Hayter in the November frosts so hopefully will be fine this week.
Make sure you mix the right amount of the Ferro! 2 - 5g per m2 max! :D:D:D I always use hot water to make it easier to dilute.

Yeah I must admit I was pretty shocked today seeing your smaller lawn, to how it looked in the Summer, but you will get it back to its former glory mate, once the season starts up again. I hate this time of year because of all the rain etc and what it does to our lawns, but I think out of choice, I would prefer it to be mowing season all year around, and so we get our lawns beautiful all year🤣Don't worry so much about your back garden, out of sight, out of mind, and passers by and your neighbours can't see your back🤣Plus your kids need at least one area they are allowed to kick a football on and play🤣
