To protect the plastics use 3M Clear Bra tape. Loved the video, proper review including a good thrashing.

As someone who went from an R40 to an R80, I would put some thought into it. If you are unsure if you will have enough space with the R40, consider getting the Stinger 22 option instead of the Stinger 8 tail bag. With the R40 Stinger and 22 I could easily fill up all my camping gear. I went with the R80 to do some longer term travelling, but the R80 is just a bit big and bulky for long weekend trips. I wind up taking off the top bag altogether, but the R80 bags still stick out sideways pretty far. My Reckless10 and a 30 litre backpack is far better for weekend trips for me.

I just received my R40 in Woodland. First glimpse, unreal product of quality and design. I see what you mean with the straps near boots loosening. Other than that, I couldn't not invision any other faults that'd disturb me.

I got this bags too, found out they rub on a painted body panel. No big deal. I plan to get two unpainted ones from the replacement warehouse and mount them for the tour. The parts are totally covered by the bags anyway

I’ve been looking at these. The back end of my bike (Husqvarna FE350) is notoriously weak so I may need to still investigate structural help. Thanks for the review > good tip on the plastics.

Hi Henry! Do you think it will fit good on tiger 900 rally?

I love my 80 but I'm not a fan of the clear window. They are a weak spot and some of my harder camping gear wore through with vibration over a couple of days riding. You learn the hard way but I'd rather a no window system because of this.
