The first tip you used would look better as a leaves rather than a border. In cake decorating I myself have never used it as a border, just leaves. But I do like it with the turtle! He's so cute! Reminds me of a turtle I had when a child....his name was Murphy! ❤
That turtle is too precious! The finished product is adorable. Really lucky finds.

You could make the top a sculpted lily pad for the turtle and frog. The base of the squirrel with the finger streaks could be turned into a tree bark. Froggie needs a crown. Maybe it could go on his knee, and he could ask for free kisses. You know he's a scoundrel. The coral under the turtle is beautiful. You are really evolving with that technique. It's so fun to have an artist explain their art.

I like the Turtle, Butterfly and the Moss is gorgeous. The frog needs his own he is a statement piece and can stand alone. Those flowers whatever you do with those will work they are beautiful. The rainbow can stand alone also. All of them were nice.

All the small figurines would make insanely cute drawer pulls! I'd love a set of squirrels on my dresser instead of boring white knobs! They'd also be cute to attach to hooks for key holders or wall hooks.

At one point you had a macaroon design. If that is the right size you could use that as a cake topper as well. All those pastel colors would work well. I love your joy in the process of experimenting . Thanks for taking us along on the journey.
Love the squirrel and mushroom one, if it were more natural nature colours like the moss was greens, and browns and the sides of the vessel was made to look like bark or a log. LOVE the concept, so cute!❤ 🍄

2 ideas for the frog. 1 sculpt a Tom Sawyer like raft for him to ride. 2 paint the jar top like a lilly pad. Sculp an edge to look like the turned up edge of the leaf.
I think the texture on the base of the frog pot, which you described as looking like leaves, looks like cable knit! You could use that roller to make a knitted jumper
I know they can’t be switched because of the shape but the squirrel would be so cute with the sweater/froggy base, then the squirrel base on the scraped flowers, then the flower base with the froggy.
The turtle one is so precious 😭💕

I like how these turned out way more than I was expecting too when you started. The squirrel and mushies is my favorite out of the batch, but each of them has a neat technique or two used that would be cool to see in future projects.

Happy Birthday!! I think the corals and moss texture experiments are my favorites. Although I really could see the potential for sunset/ sunrise themed pieces using a dyed clay base with the sort of guache/ watercolor technique you applied on top that was used on the base of the rainbow cake/ trinket box. Thanks for taking us along for the experimenting :)

Now onto the art, love the texture ‘painting’ you did, the flowers rock, they need no more and would be stunning on a jug or vase. Next, the dimensional work is so rich looking, I would love to see the leaf and star isolated. The moss needs to be under more mushrooms and squirrels or any woodland critter. the orange clay under the rainbow with the blue "watercolor" slip on top is genuinely so gorgeous!! you should definitely play around with that technique again
I painted one of those froggies in a ceramics class when I was about 12.(back in the 1970s!) I still have him.
The one without something on top, is really pretty. It has a watercolor affect! I loved them all!

The cakes remind me of those mobile covers that are stacked with plastic lollies. I love the 'icing' styles, especially the moss and the 'knit' pattern.

I would like the "painterly slip pot" even more if you put the lid on and then painted the lid and bottom together so the colors matched across the seam. And still "paint" the inside.

I really liked this one. I love that you’re not so hard on yourself or setting such high goals and expectations. Also, it’s ok to hate something you made. You can say, “I really hate these” and totally not get arrested.

I so enjoy watching and listening to you! I was able to run a ceramic shop for 15 years which provided vocational jobs for developmentally disabled adults. It was a wonderful experience and I miss playing with the clay. I learned so much those years. Keep up the good work and experimenting!!!! Another great video! Bravo!

The moss idea turned out to be really neat. A group of three mushrooms on a bed of moss would be neat. The body of the trinket box could be textured to look like a little tree stump.

my favorite is the turtle one. You did a fabulous job on the coral. And the piping looks like the turtle is in the middle of a wave.
The turtle and the squirrel ones are my favorite. The bottom of the squirrel almost looks like bark.

In my opinion, the base of the squirrel looks like the stump of a tree. So, 👍👍

Wow since you mentioned it, they really look like they were made by six different artists- like it was weird cake themed trinket box day and all the materials you used were on the table.
