Lee and Nikki included a quick update on the ammo and camera in a sit down video from a few months ago. They explained that the police took the ammo, and then checked the camera to determine its purpose. Turns out the camera was a trail cam set up to monitor and record beaver activity! :) Thankfully nothing too spooky, besides the bucket loads of ammo dumped there 😅
I think this was a sting operation. I base my assumption on the fact that such cameras aren't allowed according to Swiss-law(Datenschutzgesetz) and the fact that it's literally watching over a slope.
@@kazumakazuma5814 Trail cameras aren't allowed even for scientific purposes? Recording like this is a pretty common practice for animal behaviour research, it's really interesting that it would be illegal.
@@anacrea3931 It is illegal because you can't always notice these cameras and thus you can't object. Germany has similar laws and so does Lichtenstein, and Austria but I don't think such laws exist in the Anglosphere. At least as far as I am aware.
British police doesn't permit photography of others in public without their permission -at least, this is how they arrest. Don't know the actual laws. U.S. no permission required, though like UK some cops are ignorant and enforce feelings rather than laws.
Ammo is no good after submersion this long. Even after a minute there's a good chance you'll get a misfire that causes a jam, and then the potential for deadly backfire exists. Recycle all of it!
though I had some problem with sea water It also czcams.com/users/postUgkxa-FNYUOM93a388gi9a4brtSCEVmrHgJH land for finding any things very easily. (thought it would work as normal due to it being water proof within certain parts of the detector), on dry land and sand worked well. My first one, so still have lots to learn
That looked like a trail camera for watching wildlife. They're usually triggered by animals moving through the sensor beam. Images/video are on a memory card inside so would have to be retrieved. Oh my gosh all that ammo though!! 😮 Hope you are able to give us an update
Definitely a trail camera probably watching the people floating down the river🙈🙉🙊
Looks like one that has to be retrieved to see what’s on the camera, maybe it’s a marker to come back to pick up the ammo, and that’s the best they could come up with at the time….if someone actually pitched a bag and box full of ammo into the river rather than burying it, means that they were in a rush
It looks like a big trail camera. Usually used by hunters and wild life enthusiasts to be retrieved and reviewed later. Typically they don't have connectivity features because they would never need them. You guys have been getting amazing finds lately. Love your videos, thank you!
That was the case for older cameras but these days you can get a cellular unlink camera with SD card for under $100. They don't always have outboard antennas either.
Looked like an older model motion triggered trail cam.
Possibly set up in hope of filming otters, the position looks good. Otter numbers in Switzerland have been slowly increasing over the last 5 years having been absent from the country for around 30 years.
@@buildthings79 That brand does have an outboard antenna, that was a Swift Enduro but not the 4G version so no remote access.
Haha just commented something similar 😊
When you guys first open the artillery box I thought it was gold bullion or small gold bars, lol. That would have been so cool and so crazy to hide money in a river!
ya , and with a surveillance camera you then got to just move to Mars.. ah an..!!
If it had been full of gold, it would have taken 2 people to lift it.
I thought the same! 😃😃
The first sight of box contents, I thought it was gold bars also. Lol
Good god who in thee hell left tons of ammo!??
That is the cleanest river I have ever seen. Beautiful.
Normally I dont really like when people on youtube act overly enthousiastic (mostly faking it on purpose to keep attention of viewers). But you seem to be such a genuine enthousiast and I like it, you can even hear your verbal amazement underwater haha
Dave is a great addition to Team Bondi! Thanks for taking us on another great adventure. 👋🏼🙋🏽♀️✌🏽
Thank you Lee Nikki and Dave . As a retired Police officer thank you for finding that ammunition and turning it in we really appreciate civilians helping these matters again thank you for taking me with you on your trip and I love you guys
Thanks for watching mate 😃 I think the only thing we could do was handing it in! It’s better to take it off the streeets and maybe the police finds out where it came from? 🤙🤙
I wish more officers were like you, I've dealt with a few while magnet fishing that just act so rude and ignorant!
Great jobs.
So, do tell, What did you do to expose ALL the kiddy fiddlers roaming the streets and in Govt Dept's.... Officials, sexually abusing children behind their filthy closed and protected doors? It's a very fair question Alfonso, Every 'officer' is covering for their colleagues. Every bloody one of them! You know it.
@@outback7092 you are still loose kiddie fiddler
Please keep us updated on this situation, especially if the camara was working.
I will! 😃
@@BondiTreasureHunter Thank you.....I'm sure you feel that you need to watch your back now if that camera was active...stay safe....we love you! 🥰
Nothing there would accidentally explode. Modern (and even slightly antique) gunpowder is stable. You'd need a strong impact on the primer in the base to set each one off. The thing I'd add though, is that this was not someone just throwing it away. What looked like different colored stains on the bullets was not staining. It was lacquer put on to seal them from water getting in around the edges of the primer or between the bullet and the casing. That isn't done on standard ammo, and someone did it with the intention of them surviving being underwater.
Wow that’s crazy! I’m glad we found it and handed it in 😃
Plenty of manufacturers do this to ammo designated for military use.
The military's manufacturer however would do the varnishing consistently from round to round, and they'd get their ammunition purchases in bulk, likely in plain brown boxes, not from a dozen or so different manufacturers in "eye catching" retail boxes.
That was Swiss issue military 9mm ball ammo, it comes that way.
@@Orxenhorf yes but people do buy military ammo and besides, this was Switzerland where everyone does military service and most people apply to keep their service weapon after their 2 years. There is a lot of that ammo in civilian hands (it is what is sold at the range), someone had their home robbed.
Positive energy in every video, just having fun finding random things. Would like to see a follow up video about what you do with all your finds.
What a mystery! I hope the police find out more about your finds. Kinda scary finding the surveillance camera out there.
I know it is scary to find bullets, but don't be afraid that they accidentally might go off. They won't unless the primer is struck hard by something sharp. In any case, to be cautious is always a good thing with these items.
the biggest shocker is when he said THE POLICE DIDNT WANNA BE RECORDED??
/dont people know their 1st amendment right? IT ALLOWS U TO FILM ANY PUBLIC SERVANT IN THE COURSE OF THEIR DUTIES, THEY CANT SAY TURN OFF THE CAMERA, they work for the PUBLIC

Wow Bondi what a find!!! That's just crazy. Hi Nikki great to see you out having fun finding treasure with your Bondi man. Dave seems like a really fun person. It seems that river is FULL of treasure. You could make video's all day long of all the things you and Dave find floating on your air mattresses. I'm loving the videos of you and Dave always scoring on your float trips. Please please make many more. Bondi any updates on Ramon's art? Miss seeing him with you. Did he ever finish the fish he was making with the coins you got out of the canals? I'd love to see it. He's so gifted I know it must be an amazing piece of art!!!!
You definitely need to make a part 2 to see what photos was in the camera.

Wow that was a lot of ammo. Nice seeing Nikki, have fun with you.
That's freaking wild! Glad you guys got that stuff out of there, well done 👏
I'm pretty sure they can't remotely view that type of camera. They have to physically download the memory card. So you should be safe.
That’s a relief 😃
Yes, its not a live/remote camera. You have to acces the memory card and download the footage to a computer, to watch it properly. Wild adventure though!
@@Streamcatcher i know som of those have sim card so they can be remote.
I'm so glad it was you who found it! You guys could have saved many lives by turning that in. Thank you all.

Thanks Dee! It’s definitely good all that ammunition is off the streets now 😃
@@BondiTreasureHunter thanks to you guys 👍👍👍
@@BondiTreasureHunter No, it just allows the government more ability to run rampant over the citizens. Guns and ammo are only dangerous when in the hands of criminals or the government.
@Scott-hb1xn not really guns can be dangerous in the hands of anyone. Infact they just became the #1 cause of child death in the US. That's not just criminals that's kids playing with a gun that wasn't properly stored.
Plenty of reasons guns are dangerous especially since you aren't a criminal until you commit a crime. So ya, stupid thing to say. Kinda like saying nothing is dangerous unless it's used improperly. You can literally have anything be dangerous at that point but we all admit cars are dangerous so we set limits, laws, and required training usually lasting around 6months so I guess your arguing for more gun control... my bad then I agree we need more gun control.
@@steentemple2652actually, far more kids in the US die from buckets. Swimming pools also kill more kids in the US.
Most “statistics” published by gun control advocates include through age 26 and this captures all the gang violence because studies show that gang criminals “age out” in their late 20’s.
I’ve studied this as I’m a criminal Justice minor, class of 2014, and maintained knowledge on the subject.
I was looking online and Switzerland doesn't have a ban on much regarding guns and ammunition unless it's tactical or has projectiles and such that would hurt people on a large scale. If that was just regular ammunition, it might not be anything major but since the Police said there were dangerous items, then it might mean they were banned items. Unless you put them in fire or high heat, bullets shouldn't just "go off" so they aren't dangerous in that respect. But being lead based they pollute the water and environment.
Yes, the long term pollution factor is the greater issue.
By far, one of my favorite channels. Always makes me smile!
Hi Bondi, this time you made a really crazy find. Maybe someone will have hidden the stolen ammo, but from the way they are kept it doesn't look like they have been in the water for very long. The camera trap may have been set up to survey the area, but it is a real mystery. 😱
Hey Mate, the box wasn't a gun safe but an ammo box. Also, bullets won't explode by holding them. Really. Great finds!!! That river is really moving!
Great adventure there Lee. Keep us informed of the outcome and news of the surveillance camera x
Glad everything turned out well. Keep Smiling. Stay Safe. God Bless. ❤🙏
Whoah what a find! Danny Dip over here in America recently found an ammo box full of ammunition like you did. Apparently they are water proof, so if you take it out of the water before you open it the contents should remain dry.
Crazy find! Can’t wait to see more!!!
That’s good to know! Next time we’ll open it on land 😃
Good grief Danni dip... not worthy enough to be mentioned here..1 of the kings of cluckbait.
@@mialily206 I really like Dani Dip. I've followed him for a long time. His video titles are on par with any others on youtube, most of which are always titled as clickbait (because, let's face it, they're supposed to be).
@@jessecunningham9924 danni dip: " Wow bro I think it's a screwdriver, doesn't it look like one dude, Wow bro pretty interesting find huh dude.
Clickbait is one thing as long as it's pretty in line with what actually happens but danni dip is like that depths of history😬guy, their Titles are so off the rails farfetched! I guess they are too juvenile for my taste. And that is why I do not watch them.
@@mialily206 Hey Mia. Agreed. If we put it in our title, then it happened in our videos. Check us out one day if you like.
That was scary but intriguing. Your imagination must have been going through tons of scenarios about these criminals and how dangerous the ammunition could prove to be. Hope the police took away the camera as well. You and Dave will soon be promoted to “detectives” with the Swiss authorities, if you keep exploring their waterways. 😄
I just have no idea why it would be there in the river?! There’s so many people swimming there it would definitely get discovered!
Criminals?
@@BondiTreasureHunter I think the police might be just a wee bit annoyed with you, now that I think about it. Someone dumped the ammo there, and it was in a spot where it could be recovered easily. As you demonstrated, LOL! The camera might belong to the police, who hid it there, hoping to catch the person who dumped it when they come back to recover it. But hey? At least they know that someone found it and reported it, so faith in civilization is restored!
@@IonOtter when ammo gets wet it's no good anymore as the water seeps into the inside and gets the primer and powder wet so with that being said it's not worth going back and retrieving out of the water it's would be a waits of time
@@nicholaslittleton8343 The illegal ammo in the can would be perfectly good, and that was the stuff the dumper was worried about. As for the rest, yeah, probably soggy toast.
By the deterioration in the ammunition packages, as well as how clean/rust-free some of the primers are it doesn't look like it's been in the river very long.
About the ammo: it won't spontaneously go off because the way a gun works is the firing pin hits the primer (the little circle on the bottom of the casing), which fires the bullet. Without that, it won't go off. Also, it was in the water, so the powder was most likely crap because it got wet. Anyway, cool find! and better careful than careless
Anyone know if they ever get updates of what they find when stuff is handed to the police. I’m new here and loving it 🥰
What a weird but awesome adventure. I hope you do this area again.

If I found that, I'd consider it hitting the jackpot. Ammo is expensive here in the States.
@@katieandkevinsears7724 agreed. Very expensive.
Agreed I probably would’ve kept it I could use some more nine😂
Can you read that?
With that qty of ammunition you could have started a brand new job and whole new career. 🤣😄
Great job by calling the police BTW.
A thing I remember when I was a kid on holidays in Switzerland is that I once found a machine gun in a hotel behind of what was supposed to be a closed door. I told that to my Swiss family that we were visiting. Their explanation was that everybody that did his/her compulsory military duty has the right to keep the weapon they had during their duty. So that’s why in a certain way finding brand new ammunition in that river didn’t surprise me that much.
watching your old videos i missed...this was crazy LOL
OMG. Scary to find boxes of Ammunition but the most scary part was the surveillance camera
Glad you found this & no one got hurt.

Why would you drink the underwater beer?
Looks like a trail cam, which works from movement via sensor. Usually has night Vision recording. It’s locked because you access the SD card from inside it.
Looks like they aimed it to the path down to the river to see who walks down to it.

Another good adventure guys. I really like your channel 👍
It's always funny to watch people that know nothing about firearms or ammunition talk about it. There's zero chance it could "go off" on its own, and even if it did somehow it would be fairly harmless without being contained in a rifle barrel to direct the pressure in one direction. It's an interesting find, to be sure. But not a dangerous one without the corresponding firearms to use it.
