*pulling magnet out of a 1000 years old well*
me, thinking: *I bet it's a bike*
Me too…ha!
🤣🤣 That's hilarious! I wouldn't be surprised, even if there was a wheel!
haha me too
😂😂😂😂
Oh yah !
Years ago a friend of ours bought a shop, hubby was helping him gut it out and found an old well. In the centre of the floor of the shop. Husband got lowered down into it and bought up old leather buckets, shoes, candlesticks, coins, saw and hammers, and a little dagger. There was much more in there. The story was featured in the local paper here in Portsmouth UK. Location ‘Copnor” the paper “The News” early 70’s.
Amazing story, thank you for sharing.🥰 From U.S.A.🇺🇲
Such an exciting story!
Wow I wonder if there's A way to find that story...super cool. If it wasn't so late I would stART searching
That's so cool!
Should show us the video from the GoPro downloaded with your voice/reaction overlayed. It is very difficult to see anything with the camera recording the GoPro screen.
agree 😂I have watched the video by filming it with my phone 🤣🤣
Yeah, That is what you get I guess. Kinda a waste of time for a glimpse of some plyers.
Sadly the footage of the GoPro is all lost due to the hard drive crashing. Leigh explained so in his comment
@@elianewinter2638 well that stinks.. sorry I didn’t see that before commenting
Exactly
What an awesome adventure this was in the UK and we took home a really awesome souvenir! Sure had to work for it though but it was worth it so if anyone knows of another old well where I can go magnet fishing then let me know! 🙌😃(preferably not in a glasshouse and less than 100ft deep 🤣) This adventure almost didn't happen due to our hard drive crashing. We lost so much footage inc all of the GoPro footage from this trip but luckily we recovered enough to make this video so I hope you enjoyed it 🤩🤙 Thanks for watching and a big thanks to Adam, Michelle, Tom, Luke, and Chris for an awesome adventure! Nicky and I are packing our van right now for a summer road trip through Europe so stay tuned yewwwwww 🏝😃🚐🤿🤙
Yayyy, summer road trip 😀👌
You guys need to visit S Ireland. There’s a castle and / or a round tower in many back gardens. There must be wells close by! 🤪
Thanks again to all who worked to put this together - really a neat treasure hunt
Man, I am just hooked watching what you find. I used to spend my days as a kid trawling through our near by river & always found random stuff, some treasure & loads of false teeth! Peace🤙
Same me and the buddies use to hunt crawdads
though I had some problem with sea water It also czcams.com/users/postUgkxa-FNYUOM93a388gi9a4brtSCEVmrHgJH land for finding any things very easily. (thought it would work as normal due to it being water proof within certain parts of the detector), on dry land and sand worked well. My first one, so still have lots to learn
Hi, my wife and I have been watching your videos every day, so cool. Congratulations for you and Niki. Could you make a video showing us what you do with your findings?
Bondi Nikki that was so great never seen anything that was constructed back in900s great video.
Oh wow you guys!! This def was a new twist on magnet fishing. I hope you were able to continue and possibly get the pan that is down there. Who knows what else is down there that the camera didn't see or that is buried under the mud much like how you find in the canals. I was so worried you'd lose a magnet with all the metal along the sides of the well. You all did amazing. Awesome video!!
I actually doubt there's much mud or sediment. No leaf litter or critters etc getting down there.
Great time watching you all trying to find treasures. Amazing you went down that deep , I thought you would find 1000 year old treasure or bones I was getting the chills! Enjoy your life ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💜
When he put the magnet down and instantly hit that metal I literally laughed out loud, lmfaoooo.
Absolute madness when the well looks horizontal until the last 6 feet 😂 nice one 👍 eeyou! ✌️
Hello !
This was amazing ! I think that the wrench is covert with limestone because of the calcium of the water. I would climb the way down to check the bottom of this well hanging on a rope without hesitation. I'm not fat so it shouldn't be a problem. With a winch it would be possible to go up and down easily. Good hunting !
Phil. Peace.
only bondi could make a plyer find into a museum piece for the ages! The king of over statement.
I first heard of magnet fishing 2 days ago.
A visitor to Château LaLand told them of his first try in his moat (yes, he has a moat) and found a WWII bomb lol😂
That well is amazing. Just think of the hard work it took to dig it.
Incredible hey 😃
Such a cool place. I bet the treasure is buried by modern stuff. Just like in Amsterdam canal fishing. Gotta get the bikes up first then you find the medieval knife. Great adventure!
Hi, Leigh and Nicky. You picked a really odd treasure hunting spot this time. That well was so deep. You'd need to send someone down by rope to retrieve anything of great interest 😅 The pliers were fairly interesting, though.
Thanks for sharing. Stay healthy and safe 👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Off you go then sod doing that
Putt your back in to it, and find that bike 🙈🙈🙈😂😜.
Lol love you 🇳🇱.
Kind regards Helmer
hey leigh, a little battery powered winch would make life alot easier? something run off a 12 volt or even 240 if its available nearby (the house). drop the magnet like you were, then just winch back up, save the legs some cramp. a non magnetic bucket scoop would let you get the pottery as well. just a thought if you continue with the well idea (love the idea by the way, people always throw things in wells).
Yes I’d love to try it again and a winch would be much easier 😂
Oh my goodness…such great fun! Super enjoyable…Thanks Bondi and Nikki and everyone… xxDottie
9:09 my man predicted. Nice video!
I was dying inside when you were going to break off the mineralization. Thankfully you realized how cool it was.
So awesome hey! 😃😃 it was like glass when it fell off 🤙🤙🤙
@@BondiTreasureHunter you could hear it clink. I’m a huge rockhound and that is the best sound when looking for solid rock (:
The covering on the pliers is called tufa. It's a deposit of calcareous matter from the water; I think it is aragonite, but I may be wrong.
Some thing a little bit strange , its different but fun to watch . Would have like to see some old coins . Did Enjoy watching . Woohoo 🤙🏻👍✌️
How awesome, glad you were able to recover the footage. When you did the slow lower I was wondering if a non 360 magnet would be easier, but dropping it seamt to do the trick too
Oh good you found my pliers! I was fixing a pan and dropped them down….. 😂 ok maybe not 😂
Bondi, 3 months ago you did a video of Sensational Roman Treasure Found Metal Detecting In England and in subsequent videos you promised to show your viewers what was found under the huge plate or bowl that may contain a large amount of metal objects. You said it would take about a week for them to dig it up. When will you be showing us what was found? Thanks.
Bang on been waiting for him aswell
@@markrollins3101 looks like Bondi replied in a previous video, I have a feeling they found a huge cache of coins, there's got to be a lot of something under that pottery, it sure isn't Roman knifes & forks.........From Bondi - Hey mate, unfortunately it’s taking a long time, we’re still waiting to hear from the archeologists. I’ll do an update as soon as I know more!
16:35 “oh it’s limescale!” Made me howl
I wonder if that well got dug without any casualties. The reason I say this is because as the digging goes on, at certain depths u can encounter lethal gasses that can easily overcome the workman. I've forgotten which particular gasses are found down there, but my sister-in-law's brother died in a well by being overcome by those gasses. Tragic. Frankly, I didn't even know they dug wells back in the Dark Ages of history. I'm going to google the process of digging a well 1,000 yrs ago.
I watched a video on how a rock lined well was created since I have one on my property from the late 1700s. Mine is only 20+ feet deep. I can't imagine one 200 ft deep.😳❤
Cool! Maybe some makeshift wooden structure with a pulley would have helped to center the rope.
Hey Guys ✨️
I had two things going through my mind.....Leigh, in a previous career, was trained in flexible endoscopy procedures and the 2002 horror film 'The Ring'...... since watching that film, Wells freak me out.....just a little 😂😢😮
Well done for retrieving the pliers and, importantly, not losing any kit !
MAGNETS 🧲 AWAY

😂
What an absolute amazing opportunity! I hope that we get to see more finds😊
somebody just said [well] at least no more dishes🤣
Only in England love it cheers for another great show. WOW that’s great and so clear.🇬🇧👍
This is so unbelievably tricky to direct ! Cool footage. I hope there's more !
Thanks Sian, we might have to give it another try if we’re ever back there 😃
@Bondi Treasure Hunter oooohhhkay. Thanks 😊for bringing this vid, Leigh and Nikki. A great treasure hunt for sure . You saw some really neat things there
Alice in wonderland !! Wow
😮😳 Good thing spiders aren't magnetic!
Wow!
❤️👍☺️🤙
Although not magnetic, spiders DO crawl up ropes... Creepy😂❤
So enjoyed your video Leigh bc it took my mind off the fact that I just lost my only son at 5:45am this morning & the world doesn't make any sense anymore 😭💔😭
So sorry for your loss 🥀😔
I am so sorry we have experienced the same three years ago. Give yourself time and talk to friends and family about your son keep his memory alive
that’s important.
@@julielumsden5184
Thank you bc right now it is unbelievable!
I pray that you heal and have strength during this time, may God protect you and your family ❤
I am so very sorry for your loss
You got my attention with a 1000-year-old well. I need more information! I need closure! LOL
Wife said, “You need to lose weight so no more frying”! Ditched the pan when she caught him frying! Hahahaha!
Great idea magnet fishing there! Good eye on spotting the frying pan!
Leigh geht so lange zum Brunnen bis er alle Schätze bricht!^^
You could've at least used something like a broom-handle to brush away those cobwebs near the top of the well!
Was also wondering whether there's any skeletons down there, but you won't find them with a magnet!?!
Was hoping you got that pan
The reason the well was dug at the top of the hill has to do with physics, and an easy gravitational pull with which to water one’s crops. There is also pressure build up “Venturi’s Principle” which also create additional ease of crop irrigation. In the old days, it would be considered a No-Brainer”. I love the diversity of your content. Keep up the great work! ❤
A venturi is also a shaped soft-sided blade added on the rear of a car to pull the air away from the body and direct it closer to the ground. Thanks 😊 for the physics intro.
Absolutely epic bro. Fantastic find Bondi 🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
Awesome! People throw stuff in wells! I wonder if those metal pieces on the side might have been kind of like steps?!
More likely they were brackets that were installed to mount a ladder to, but that's long since rusted away!
Look like the kind of rungs used as steps on the sides of old chimneys.
In a thousand years those pliers would have been a solid rock. With a pair of pliers encased within.
Almost expected the first thing for you to pull up with your magnet to be a .......
......bicycle!
In a well that deep, I would’ve thought you’d find discarded murder weapons.
Hopefully not a discarded murder victim...
Its so interesting to see mag fishing being done down a well from 1023. It's always fun to see what Bondi Treasure Hunter is up to next. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Darla, I just had to give it a go! You never know what could be down there 😃
Only a non-UK resident can be excited about a layer of limescale. Takes about 2 weeks and your bathroom tap is covered if you dont clean up. Not to mention kettle, washing machine etc
You know it...😂❤
I was in Moldova visiting my in-laws and they have wells all over the place, naturally, being a fan, i chucked in some magnets. But i didn't have any strong magnets with me. Great to see you finding a great spot!
Awesome! Sounds like you have to go back 😃🤙🤙
@@BondiTreasureHunter It sounds like Martin should send you an invite for your next European tour😉😁❤
Send an invite to Bondi Treasure Hunter for his next European tour !!!😁❤
nice Lee finally some depth in your movie😏 so excited to sie what is coming up, shame nothing else hit the magnet. so nice to know so many people this way your getting the best spots 👍 . Next week metaldetecting trip to Engeland for me😊 greetings Pieter
There is like a ladder on the side, you should lower the lightest (the child) with a harness in case...
When OH&S rules don't really matter!
Your kidding I hope
@@julielumsden5184 it's true in fact: no need for harness!
Really deep well!! Surprised you guys got so far! GoPro's are good company, didn't realize that they could get wet! Interested in the surround windows !!
Another good video ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Now that was super cool. You should try that again...and use a weaker magnet so it dont stick to sides so easy. That was fun!❤
Perfectly pristinely preserved petrified pliers
I don’t like heights and I don’t like deep thing underground. They both make me feel I’ll and shaky . I kinda watched because I really enjoy watching your adventures.
Really surprised that they didn't try throwing a grappling-hook down the well!
We didn’t have one with us unfortunately 😃
great adventure Bondi,Nikki,i love your new hairdo......im surprised you didnt get that frying pan :)
I think the frying has been soaking long enough. You can finish cleaning it now. 😁
Me... as I scoot outside to retrieve a roasting dish that's been soaking during the last 2 weeks. 😂🤣❤
I love your channel treasure hunting is so exciting like you’re reaching back into the past it make you wonder what stories the item you find have to tell
The entire time I'm like, "Get a milk jug! Cut it up and get that magnet down there!"😂
brilliant really interesting and so so deep, the metal on the side looks like very old steps, probably worn away a lot with rust but couldn't imagine going down there
Merci Bondi et Nikki
Wow Ruthie,we thought you had given in with it all with you being so quiet 🤫🤐 we hope you are well,we are good, off too Lanzarote on Monday to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary... Don't be a stranger ok.stay in touch.Take care.🌹💞✖️
Bless you for the sneeze
Those are bicycle assembling pliers obviously. But seriously, it was a gift when I found your channel. It's given me inspiration on how to clean up my local storm basin. Thanks!
That water had Sulfur in it. Where it looked crusty and multi layered. It does the same thing in caves with water dripping it builds massive pillars
Wow! What an adventure! I feel so bad that you didn't pull up something really old. I felt sure there were old coins in there.
Fighting off badies is best done from an elevated position. Depending on how strong your fortifications and defense forces are, (and how many people you're with in general), having water at your disposal, can have you hold out for very, very long.
.....Until a certain monarch enacts laws on the dissolution of all the abbeys and monasteries!
@@stevie-ray2020 Doesn't take anything away from what I said
@@philosophicaltool5469 True.
@@stevie-ray2020 are you from the Netherlands, by any chance?
@@philosophicaltool5469 No, an Aussie from Sydney!
Would be great to have seen the actual full GoPro footage as you went down
Look at the pinned comment, sadly the harddrive crashed so they lost all of the GoPro's footage
A interesting video today. Always great videos to watch. Enjoy the weekend. Cheers Leigh! 😊
Hard work for a petrified plier 😅
Bit of a challenge YYYYYYYYYYyyyyyyeeeeeewwwwwwlllll⚓
Its clear anything interesting down there is buried in the same kind of petrification as those pliers. Im sure there are some very well preserved artifacts down there. They just need to be dug out with someone going to the bottom.
if you got pottery down there try to carefully take it out and glue it like a puzzle)))
the pan stay,s there , for ever but what a adventure was this very nice to watch😊 👌💯💢
I wondered why they never caught???
Probably a Teflon-coated aluminium frying-pan as they don't corrode easily & a magnet won't stick either!
🌹🙋🏻♀️🌹🌹Hi!It's me...
I just wanted to let you know that you inspired me to magnet fish and now to start my own magnet fishing channel. Thanks.
Finale: He gets a pair of plyers.
You're welcome.
Can you imagine if you'd fished up like an old dagger or a flintlock pistol or something? Still really cool though, was this at someone's private residence or a tourist spot?
Also, if you do see this, been thinking of trying out magnet fishing too 🙂Can you recommend a good starter magnet strength for a novice? Thanks 😀
Bonne année à vous tous super vidéo continuer comme ça 😁
Can we get a second video but from the GoPros perspective not just the top of the well? That would be so cool~
Yes please! Disappointed we didn't get video of its perspective.
This was so cool and I'm glad you got something from there so I wonder will that frying pan end up like the pliers eventually 🤙
Probably yeah, if we don’t go back and get it out before that happens 😃😃
That was really cool 😊😊😊
This dude is the Steve Irwin of magnet fishing!
Wish the actual go-pro video was overlayed on screen as you guys went over the footage for a wider no-glare video of what it looked like down there
You’re so animated!🤷🏻♀️😂
Super cool treasure hunt experience full of adventure 👍✌🔥
No theres a challenge. Makes me want to check our well although only about 35 ft. Of course the entire casing is metal so that likely wont work. Nice find

This looks fun!!!
Your the best keep up the great work❤❤
Totally awesome adventure
I looked up on Google as to what limescale buildup is called and it's limescale buildup
It looks like it's mineral lime which we have in our water in Missouri, USA. It's in a lot of water all over the world. It develops on metal. It's called limescale.
