I spent 140+ hours on this game, yet failed to learn that you can interrupt Fallingstar Beast's charge with a well timed attack...Thank you ONGBAL, I've learnt a lot from your video!
I mean this with all the respect to Ongbal. This was pretty good RnG. The boss never used any of the gravity spells it has access to which are easily the strongest part of its kit. the lightning combo that turns into an AOE and the beam that stretches across 75% of the arena isnt shown here. Im not saying he got lucky cuz hes amazing at these games. just take it with a grain of salt :)
@@BeefHammer1 mhe those attack are both easy to dodge you literally just have to run, stopping his charge with an unsheathe though that's sick, also he did use the massive gravity aoe that pull you into the sky
You’ve convinced me that playing this game (and definitely Sekiro, and probably every other FromSoft game, for that matter) can be elevated to an art form. Mad respect and great content as always!
This just gave me a higher appreciation for this boss. Like damn, being able to stagger him like that, I never would've guessed this boss had so many layers for how simple it is to fight.
Not saying this fights hard but this fight is unironically one of the more nuanced and complex bosses in the game after you go into trying to get good at him.
This fight's one of the best from has ever done, it feels like a Monster Hunter fight, with the focus on positioning and accurately hitting specific parts. The dragon fights also improved alot too.
@@nickcomk that's p[robably because of horse. But they're easy because they don't have much bullshit. Easy/hard isn't really my point, it's just a good and fun dance of positioning that Souls lacks a lot because of supremacy.
Monster hunter is wannabe FromSoft garbage and this is one of the easiest field bosses in the game. If you think this is hard I’d have hated to watch you spend weeks on the dual Gargoyles or something
I've been subscribed and have been watching this person for about a year and a half and they are amazing at these games period. Thanks for all the help in Sekiro and now this masterpiece.
I just want to say thank you, your videos are my inspiration for perfecting my fight with every boss in Elden Ring. I learned a lot from them, from how you moved, how to avoid the boss's attacks. Now I have beaten Maliketh, Malenia, Maliketh and Hoarah Loux Solo, No Damage with my Spike Caetus. You have another fan from now.
I've struggled to kill this damn thing for so long, even with the help of my Latenna summon. Seeing it get clapped easily by you makes me smile like a madman.
why Latenna? She is sh-t. Mimic tear obliterates this boss solo. Also greatshield soldiers are great, Black knife tiche, I guess even upgraded lone wolves are much better.
I’ve beaten the game, but most of the boss fights were sloppy and chaotic on my part. I watch you flowing around avoiding all attacks so effortlessly and it gives me hope I can get better. Thanks for your videos. =)
Wow. I used a mimic tear and still felt like I was getting completely slaughtered by that thing. Ongbal must be the most zen dude alive to stay that calm and just slap it in the face.
The sheer precision to consistently hit the side slash towards FSB's soft part of the neck. 👌👌 Chef's Kiss.. The hitbox of that particular part is quite hard to hit
i'm convinced when Ongbal plays video games he shows the canon story cut scenes it makes games feel like they're too easy thanks for the great content!
I played the same way against it, but only couldnt not pull it off consistently like the god ONGBAL. Also, the nagakiba really helps. I noticed with my uchi, i really had to get close to the head, which didnt afford much time. Awesome video as usual. The attack against the charge head-on is such an ONGBAL thing to do lol. Didnt even know it could be done.
I was stuck on this boss by trying to do it with the three stars, the only strike weapon I could use worth a damn, but the reach on it just atrocious and especially bad for this fight. I did it in three tries after watching you, so many thanks.
Once upon a time I was fighting this beast. My companion perished mid combat. Without estus, I knew it was over. The FSB charged me and I thought to myself "for my fallen comrade!!" And readied a charged r2 attack. The beast collapsed and I won. I've been looking for a video ever since that showed a charge attack against the FSB. Thank you so much
Learning and perfecting that jump at 0:44 must have been really satisfying. Also, not to knock this fight but using one of the fastest and strongest weapons definitely made this easier.
Watching you beat this in 2 minutes gives me great pain considering it took me over 20 minutes to kill it with poison arrows because I didnt know how else to do it.
I am very curious with your learning curve time with every boss. Your moves are very accurate, no pointless/useless move. I am so amazed with your skill. Saluteee.
I remembered doing the same thing when you play games similar to Kingdom Hearts, wasted movement thinking because extremely contagious after awhile when doing *reset* consistently.
GG ! God I hated that thing... So satisfying to see you destroy it ! Can that gravity pull dodge you performed at 1:04 also be used on Astel ? I always found it difficult to outrun if he performed his gravity pull when I was completely below him, but maybe a simple roll can be enough ?
This must be the first boss I ever fought where I actually did not notice the giant weak spot right on top of the bosses face. At first I thought Unsheathe just has way more stagger than I thought it did.
I first encountered this beast at the lyndell capital area while I was exploring and out of no where this creature emerged and knocked me off from torrent and killed me in one shot. But here the way you fight this thing has a rhythm and timing in it.
The strat is sick dude, and i just had my Nagakiba +17, need the stones from him to upgrade it, im trying to time it right but everytime he just sends me flying into the cliff
At first I was shocked that Ongbal betrayed his loyal frosty Club. But now I want to be Ongbal when I grow up. That L2 interrupting the charge was chefs kiss.
This boss’s lore is crazy. They come from the furthest distance of space. This starbeast is just a baby astel. Mfs of nokron calling fourth these cosmic monsters.
i've seen a lot of people shit on this boss and i'm not totally sure why. to me, this boss felt the closest thing to like, an actual Dark Souls boss. even though it took me many attempts to learn its moves, i really enjoyed fighting it. i knew about interrupting its charge attack (cuz i did it on accident once) but it's awfully difficult to do with a straight sword lol
out of curiosity, does ongbal use the nagakiba here because the unsheathe gives you a bit more blade to work with, making the unsheathe on charge work a bit more consistently? i hadnt ever though of using the unsheathe like that, always learning new stuff through these videos.
I am convinced Ongbal sees everything in slowmotion. This world is simply too slow for him
the Bruce Lee of video games
nah just meth
Facts
Wrong. If he saw things in slow motion, there are still chances that his controller wont react fast enough. I reckon he can see the future
