    Out of interest is it possible to buy the blower and venturi assembly as a separate part?

    Hello, I have this same exact tank, however my heating does not pass 73 .... Before 73 temperature I can feel my radiator emitting lots of heat but after 73 it isn't the same. I have a nest thermostat that is calling to reach 80 but it gets to 73 and that's it. The boiler keeps running and that's about it. Any helpful information on this would be very appreciated

    looks like the exhaust is getting sucked into the intake,
    that would definitely cause issues as the gases will condense and the low ph may cause things to corrode faster

    you would think the outer box could be some composite material or even just the bottom plate, that would not rust.

    • @mxslick50
      @mxslick50 Před 5 měsíci

      True, but flue gas condensate is highly corrosive, plain water would not cause the rust seen here so soon. Manufacturers warn not to use ANY metal pipe or fittings of any type on condensate drains, and require neutralizers on the condensate discharge.

    Why I gave up on wall hung junk. Almost all the brands that were the latest and greatest become junk. I got sick off off hour calls for broken systems with no technical or parts support. Homeowners with 20 to 30 thousand dollar installs under 10 and especially 5 years old. They would look at me and ask why the are paying so much repairs and the old cast iron boiler they could forget about for years. May be saving gas usage but flushing money down the drain. Most technicians I know are tired of constantly tossing parts into the same machine. Orver 5 years old its broken, it gets replaced.

  • @nosaya3

    Why would anyone choose to install these types of units in their homes over more time tested options?

    • @mxslick50
      @mxslick50 Před 5 měsíci

      Space limitations, efficiency. Endless hot water. Lower operating costs over the unit life. IF properly maintained (which is not that difficult or expensive) a unit like this will last as long or longer than 2 or 3 conventional tank types. (Takagi warranties their heat exchanger for 15 years.)

    • @SuperComfee
      @SuperComfee Před 5 měsíci +1

      storage tanks require to be maintained at a certain temperature, which passively uses energy..
      some of these boilers are capable of heating your house like a boiler and also providing potable water as well ( combi ), they save space.
      overpriced, storage tank heaters are fine, just put a timer on them and only have them heat your tank at night rates

    • @SuperComfee
      @SuperComfee Před 5 měsíci

      Also these require maintenance, it’s not uncommon to go 15 years no service on storage tanks whereas these will hit you in maintenance and more water usage, destroying your dreams of ever saving any money
