Problem I'm having is with a car I got, got it for free but it was put in storage for about 5 years and It won't stay running, iv tuned and tuned even resealed the tank and only way it will run is with finger over exhaust
Hi buddy how it going I'm glad you had a lovely Christmas make sure you have a good new year too. The video is brilliant good information for people who doesn't understand nitro Engine very well. Put me bud I like my battery rc cars they easily to rebuild and replace them too.
if and only IF you have say.. bought an engine (2nd hand) from ebay that claims to run, you tested it and it runs. stop and check the needle O-rings (tiny rubber seal rings)
if these are bad, air can leak inside the engine from these bad rings.
though this is only if all else checks green (so if you checked everything else but its not fixed)
Thanks and it did help I appreciate it
I checked all my nitros and actually found out I had a loose carburetor on one of my other ones thanks again
Why do my Nitro/ Truck Run And cut off when I left off the throttle
Could you do a video about loss of compression
Missed your videos. Looking forward to more posts. Won’t it depend where the leak is as it may be a positive or negative pressure leak. For example an exhaust manifold leak. This would be a positive pressure leak and would lead to poor compression and poor running. just a thought that I had. So you wouldn’t always be looking for the engine to ingest brake fluid etc as it could blow bubbles with a soapy Soloition.
hi there ,just got a kyosho inferno with a blast v.15 engine the engine starts but it picks up high revs straight away right after i started it ,is this a n issue of an air leak ? im gonna try the spray trick
, this engine just got it too and it started to rev up from the very first time i started it ,thanks alot and keep it up with your helpful vids
Could be a few things, spraying around it with something flammable will rule out a leak.
After that it’ll be mixture settings.
@@HaggardRC thanks mate i will try with the break cleaner thanks alot for you feedback
@@HaggardRC found the leak mate ,thanks to you that trick has worked .it was leaking from around the head fixed it ,as soon as i have sprayed the break cleaner it has reved right up and i have seen it bubling
@lillubobber happy days!
👍👍👍👍
Is it bad to use wd40 as a after run oil??
Nah it’ll be fine :)
Back in the shed boss
Well there's a face iv not seem in a while hope your well man
I think you forgot to mention the possibility of leaks in the front bearing, as its seal also works as a crankcase seal. When this goes wrong, oil starts to leak from the crankcase to the outside and false air intake also occurs due to the lack of bearing seal. And this can only be resolved by changing the front bearing.
You’re right and there’s probably loads of things I forgot to
Mention lol
@@HaggardRC Ok, you said in the video that you might forget something and that we could point out what it was here in the comments. Anyway, thanks for the video, as any false air intake or compression leak will harm the performance of any 2-stroke engine, especially micro engines.
