I love how Robot at first seems like a cold, unfeeling machine in his interaction with Rex. In hindsight, he had the most human response ever: Jealousy.
The Maulers are the definition of Chaotic Neutral. They aren't unfeeling, are sorry for hurting people they like and warn everyone exactly of the dangers their work poses. But they are extremely selfish as well.
And? There’s a shit ton of great VA’s and actors in Velma, it’s just the show sucks and Mindy milked the money. And even then, Rex/Scrappy’s VA is a C-List comedian, he has a face you remember but can’t remember what he’s been in… since most of the projects are shit.
