Multi-platinum recording artist and singer/songwriter Summer Walker has announced The Summer Walker Series, a limited engagement run of Live Nation produced shows.
During the run, she’ll visit Houston’s 713 Music Hall on March 20, Chicago’s Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom on March 31, and Dallas’ The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory on April 16. Special guests NO1-NOAH and MARVXXL will be featured on all dates with Erica Banks joining as a special guest for the Houston and Dallas shows. Her latest announcement follows five previously announced festival performances including Sol Blume Festival, Broccoli City Festival, Roots Picnic Festival, Wireless Festival Birmingham, and Wireless Festival London. Tickets for The Summer Walker Series go on sale starting Friday, March 4 at 10am local time.

Great artist material wise but nah shes not one of the strongest vocalists of the generation, she lacks the technique for that. Thatd be the likes of JoJo, Jazmine Sullivan, Tori Kelly, Jessie J and the gen before Beyonce, Keke Wyatt, Jennifer Hudson etc. Shes able to make the sound retain some pleasantness as the track isnt vocally demanding and is more centred around vocal tone and speech level singing as opposed to requiring technical proficiency. If she had to belt or do vocal runs which require concentration and coordination then given her emotional state and that shes in tears she would not sound good here in this particular moment.

Whoa…I’m 50yrs old and felt all of this. As I watched this performance, tears started flowing from my eyes that came from a deep place that most women can relate to. Bcuz we’ve all been thru it with a lover at some point in our lives. And while men hurt too…They don’t always get it….they don’t always understand how much pain they put us through without giving it a second thought. They so easily reject all of the love we try to give them. We somehow get over the pain of that rejection, we lock it away and find a way to move on. But deep down inside, it’s always there! It comes back to haunt us sometimes. Over the years, I chose to embrace the pain and grieve those parts of me that I lost with every failed relationship. A short song that transcends generations and resonates with the majority of us who dared to love a man that wasn’t ready.
