My recipe is 1/2 cup cooked buckwheat = 1.5 cups cooked There’s only two of us. To double this: 1 cup raw = 3 cups cooked An average serving size is usually 1/2 to 3/4 of a cup, depending on your appetite. Hope that helps
You do not need to drain. If you will put buckwheat in empty pan, than you will put water just little bit above buckwheat - after 8 minutes there will not be water to drain at all. Extra water from steam can be absorbed by covering with towel instead of cover.
This was a lifesaver. Every other video doesn't quite explain it right. This was the easiest way to do this. I am doing it for my parrot.
Thank you for your message, that’s good to hear. Yes I too had many mishaps. What a lucky parrot 🦜.
I am happy to see that someone boil buckwheat right. thanks
Our pleasure!
Greatly done!
In Russia, we eat this all-the-time! Breakfast, lunch, dinner 😂 With meat, eggs, vegetables, fish, anything!

What is the difference between buckwheat and the buckwheat grouts?
I think it’s the same thing. Some people call it groats.
I'm trying to learn, a nd your way is the easiest so far, but I worry about throwing away vit/min water. What say you?
Thanks. Hmm a good question. I will have to have a think about that. Maybe I cool it down pour it on my plants.

@@CrazyEggsFoodgreat tips!! Thanks
So that's it take less time rice?
Yes only 8 minutes with boiling water. And rest for 10 minutes.
I have never seen yellow buckwheat, we only have brown haha
Maybe it's my lighting but it's a kind of brown not bright yellow.
