      It sure is as it's the Bid-a-Note theme that is played going into the commercial in the regular series :-) .

    They probably got rid of the “zero notes” bid because then it becomes a question/answer show instead of naming a tune.

    Some thematic elements of the opening theme were kept for a few very early episodes...for instance, the part played when John Harlan says the show's title was used for the contestant calldowns.

    At 11:35 and 12:15 watch as Ken successfully names two tunes with zero notes but at 17:04 he let the last 10 seconds run down as he was unable to name the last tune.

    They should’ve kept that 0 note rule for bid-a-note. Sometimes a great clue can give the tune away

    The zero notes bid in Bid a Note wasn't used on the episodes outside of this week of aired pilot shows.

    Watching these pilot episodes, I noticed the prize tags were left alone, even in Family Channel airings.
    Also, compared to the other pilot episodes, this one uses the 1.0 buzzers from Press Your Luck in 1983.

      Actually, the time buzzer was taken from 'Face the Music', another Sandy Frank game show.

      Tune Countdown, wasn't that round almost like the Golden Medley Showdown? and yes, Donna doesn't know when to quit, she took a chance and it bit her on the butt

    @17:14, I don't know they didn't keep that for GOLDEN MEDLEY instead of using that round clock, plus this set looked better than what aired.

    Interesting they brought down the NAME THAT TUNE opening sign during Bid A Note. This was the only pilot episode to do that.

    This is one of the pilot episodes. Name that Tune was a hit as a weekly series, but only a marginal hit as a daily version. The show did pretty well early on, but lost ground in the ratings later in the season.
