How do you figure out which frequency range is best for your area? I'm surprised I can't find an answer yet. The Shure website doesn't help because we're not using a Shure product?

    Hey Justin,
What do you think of the RE3 vs the Sennheiser EW-D? About the same price range and similar mics. What would you rec for mobile DJs?

If they were in a fight, We are putting our money on the EV. We have already taken their customers and converted to the new Electro Voice microphone and have had people come back and replace their other Sennheiser systems. That tells me EV is a superior product as well and it is at a better price in many cases.
My opinion, it is the perfect wireless system for the mobile and events DJ that isn’t doing concert level events. Why spend more if you don’t need to?

I read that the FCC eliminated the 600 frequency range. is the 653-663 range exempted? Any info you can clarify is appreciated.

As you might be aware, a large chunk of wireless frequencies in the 600 MHz was sold recently that previously were utilized for microphone transmission. What you may not realize, however, is that the FCC set aside a specific group of frequencies specifically for wireless microphone systems. The 6M band, in particular, is a global band that can be utilized anywhere. No matter where you are in the country, the 6M band will be available for you. With 400 adjustable frequencies, you’re sure to find an open channel to work with.

Hey Justin, i have a Numark WS100 & AKG WMS40MINI which are in the $100-$1500 range. I have always refused to pay more than $200 for a wireless mic. I been doing wedding ceremonies with these until the other day I heard drop outs. nothing major that people noticed but I heard it and man, let me tell you. I was pooping bricks. Now I know I need a really good mic. does this EV come with these big antennas or do you throw in an extra pair? Does it come with mounting brackets? what specials do you have going on right now?
