  • Mercedes-Benz CLA Shooting Brake is a stylish estate, which promises to be more practical, than before. The second generation has a slightly larger boot, and a wider opening for easier access. The 2020 Mercedes--Benz CLA Shooting Brake is also larger than the first gen car, making it more comfortable for the passengers. And it features the new MBUX infotainment system.
    Starting price: 32 000 euro
    As tested: 55 000 euro

    I purchased the first CLA SB on spring 2015. 220 CDI AMG. 110,000km since then, no issues at all and it is keeping a good resale value. And I’m not going to swap it with a new one since after 4 years there are no options to this car on the market yet and I don’t find the new CLA design (remarkably the taillights and the new dashboard) convincing. The new 1.9 Diesel engine is very good though.

    Marek, I don't get it -- you have simply the absolute best car reviews on CZcams without the "Gutmenschentum" of Autogefühl. (I tried finding a translation of Gutmenschentum into Polish and into English ... this concept doesn't exist in either language apparently ... chalk it up to a feeling of moral superiority due to left-wing "do-gooder" thoughts and values ... if you have a Polish translation I'd be fascinated how it translates back into German).
    Why don't you have more English views? Anyways, keep up the great work.

    • @MarekDrives
      @MarekDrives Před 4 lety +5

      LOL
      I found an English translation "propensity for being do-gooders". I suspect Gutmenschentum has a much deeper cultural meaning. An interesting notion. Off the top of my head I can't think of anything similar in Polish. Maybe it's because we're inherently seeing the negatives. If you ask an American "how are you?" their natural response is "fine". But Poles start telling you how hard everything around them is :-) That scene in Chernobyl series, where the guy says the radiation level is "not great, not terrible" is the essence of Slavic mentality. I'm sure there's an long German word for it.
      As for my video views, most people come here from the search engine looking for specific cars, so if a car is popular/interesting the video will get many more hits. Not everyone is entertained by my cheerful personality :-)

    Mercedes has overdone it this time. Trying to be “unique” in a world where all cars look the same, they lost proportions (and common sense) here. The back is almost hideous, and the car looks disproportionate from the side. This yellow, 4-door, shooting-brake, luxury-coupe station wagon is less attractive than any current Kia model. It’s a shame because until recently Mercedes was building really good-looking cars, arguably nicer than the other two German luxury-brands.
