- This is Mercedes-Benz CLA 250 Shooting Brake 4 Matic. Very sleek and posh Mercedes with a very healthy 2L petrol engine that pumps 224 HP and 250 Nm of torque. Mercedes-Benz forever carried the stigma of a car for an old man. We have come a very long way and perhaps CLA is the greatest proof or? Well, come with me to find out what the latest CLA 250 is all about!

It’s long time ago when a Merc was an old man car… and is impressive how the design of the cars improve. Also prefer the shooting brake instead the normal CLA
I love the way you say ambient lighting, Mercedes makes some of the best interiors and exhaust notes, on all there cars.
About that intro of yours... Regarding the "touchy subject" of a person's years... All I'll say is this. Anna is like a bottle of fine wine. She just gets better with age. Wonderful car review as always.
When a driving experience includes such a car beauty, hi tech and such more than simply good engine, then...even an older person can easily forget ages and enjoy the more space of this car!!! Thank you for sharing one more lovely video, best Sunday wishes!!!

Clearly the Classe A has made other interiors look old, very quickly. Which is quite a feat considering that, as you rightfully said, Merc used to be "for old people". I recently test drove an A45 AMG, this thing fliiies ! :) Nice vidéo Anna! Thank you....

The rear looks nicer than the C class wagon. This appears like a spiritual successor to the early 2000s C Class wagon with its elegant roof curve.

Christmas continues to come early with more frequent Girl On Swiss Roads (yes, I'm calling it that because it's a great title.) Anna's reviews are a guilty pleasure! I really like the look of the Shooting Brake. Unfortunately they are not available in the States. Good thing for me, given that I keep cars for over 5 years, and Mercedes-Benz USA vehicles are nightmare money pits out of warranty.
About to order a CLA shooting brake but couldn't decide between digital white, mountain grey and cosmos black. After watching this video about 10 times - cosmos black it is! Thank you.

Excellent review. Vehicle is beautiful inside and out, but compared to the C-class a huge step down. Build and drive is really entry level, pricey given the lower quality. Look forward to your reviews and love the scenic background.
I’m glad someone brought this up! Most reviewers seemed to be impressed for some reason. I test drove the CLA200 and it felt cheap to drive…the handling for me was overly light and darty to my taste, and didnt find it particularly comfortable either; firm ride, gruff engine and road noise. I enjoyed the look of the interior for the first 5 mins but then later touching all the buttons and indicator stalks felt very cheap

Great review. I got to say I really do like the looks of the Mercedes-Benz CLA 250 Shooting Brake but I'm a bit weird like that because I always got a soft spot for estate cars. I wonder what the AMG variant of this car is like, Anna will you do a review on the AMG variant? I see you got a pair of rollerblades, that sent me back to the late '80s, early '90s when it was a big craze at the time. Keep up with the great work.
Thank you Jason ❤️I'd love to review the AMG version but it just wasn't available in the fleet which usually is very limited. But I will keep trying as I love all AMGs. I think AMG would give it a nice kick but the 250 doesn't lack any. Still a big car so I wouldn't expect much more superior handling but you never know!

Anna on Roads that cool. I guess it’s quite hard to get hands on some of the top range like AMG especially if there’s not many of them in the fleet like you say. They are great cars the Germans Love their technology they pack their cars with it .I have owned Mercedes in the past it’s best to lease those cars.anna has to do a video on the landscape beautiful area The swiss tourism board should be paying her.

Hey, just found your channel! This is a great review because it's delivered straight from the heart. I've always liked Mercs - even as a kid. Currently have a 2017 C200 which I love. I'm due to change it next year and was not happy to find that the C200 is now powered by a 1.5 lite engine rather than the 2 litre in mine. So I started to look at the CLA 250 and your review confirms that it would be a pretty cool choice!! :)
Hi Rex, thank you for your kind words. I think CLA 250 is a beautiful choice with this healthy 2L engine. I'm not a fan of Mercedes's strategy of putting 1.5L in a C class, it's just takes away the sweetness and lushness of the iconic C class. I have found CLA to be fresher, younger and just a little bit cooler! Happy shopping but most of all, happy driving!
@@AnnaOnRoads Thanks Anna and absolutely agree about the 1.5 litre in the C200. It's just not in keeping with the quality and ambience of the C class and has to work too hard. Have subscribed as your reviews are full of joy and love for cars, driving and definitely share your love for Mercedes!! 😃👍

My boyfriend has to go lower from a C250 to a CLA 200 shooting brake and really wasn’t happy until he saw the new CLA shooting brake and he’s kind of positive about it. Am hoping he doesn’t move to Audi or bmw. 🤞🏽

My parents have bought the CLA shootingbrake but the biggest problem is the interior size, it's wayyy too small.
Car would be very good for small guys or an average woman.
Reminder : the CLA is the baby version of the CLS. I drove a CLS350 and a CLA250. The CLS is way bigger.

"This is the perfect car for four tall adults(...)", Sooorrryyyy but it's not! I'm 1,85m and in in order to not have a feeling (on front seat) of having my knee close to my teeth I have to pull the seat back... this makes very little leg room for an 'tall' adults in the back. Having that said I would rather suggest to make an effort and check it on your own before final decision of buying it as you may be surprised - a jump out for ski weekend with 4 tall people made us to stop 3 time on the way to Zermatt to stretch out our legs ;) But also agree that this car has very nice touch everywhere... and the screens, indeed one of the best I've ever seen!
I wish we were getting these in North America...but no more SUVs :(

Bought a new a class and traded it it after 4 months, hey mercedes never worked and the nav system couldnt even find my house. Too much tech,not enough car.
Agreed.... Some cars (i.e. Tesla) do their tech well, and it's actually USEFUL. I feel like most of Mercedes's tech are just gimmicks...

Anna, this one is so stylish, but.....I am old, but not old enough for a Mercedes. The 4 cylinder engine seems to be finding it's way increasingly into the premium brands. So, would it be this or the new BMW 3 series Touring with a straight six engine, I guess it's how much you are willing to pay.

I have an issue with MB calling this a shooting brake, shooting brakes are traditionally 2 door station wagons and not 4 doors. The Volvo P1800ES, AM DB5, DB6 and DBS were built as true shooting brakes. The term originated in coach building for horse drawn wagonettes with 2 seats and gun racks for hunting trips. They must have indulged in Jagerbombs at the MB marketing department again, don't get me started on 4 door coupes btw.
