Since all Jeeps are not at the same height due to lift or tire height, measure from the center of headlight to ground then subtract 2”. Eg headlight height center or dot is at 38” - 2” = 36” headlight cut off line at 25’ away from a vertical wall.

I have a JL with a 2” lift. The center of my headlights are about 42” (3.5’) off the ground. I adjusted my headlights using the guidance in this video and I noticed that the light from my headlights doesn’t extend nearly as far in front of the vehicle. In comparison, the light from the headlights on my car extends much further down the road. This got me thinking. The height your lights should shine at 25’ is dependent on how tall the vehicle is. To take it to an extreme, suppose I had a 12” lift on my Jeep with 42” tires. My headlights would be sitting almost 5’ off the ground and to get them to shine 3’ high at 25’ they would need to be angled sharply down, resulting in the light reaching the ground very close in front of the vehicle. Compare this to a stock Jeep with the headlights physically located just a little over 3’ above the ground. They would only need a slight downward angle to hit the 25’ target at the 3’ mark but since the light is shining almost straight out it would travel much further down the road giving much better visibility at night. To summarize, two vehicles of different heights with the headlights adjusted to shine 3’ high at a 25’ distance are going to have a noticeably different light projection.

The screw is extremely easy to strip out (especially on the passenger side, where it’s hard to get the screwdriver seated properly). Jeep, really thinking ahead, also made the lights adjustable with a 10mm Allen wrench (look closely at the shape of the opening where the screw is located).

I think the headlight adjustment screw is different on the 2021 JLU. I only see a hex adjust screw near the top of the headlight and I do not see the adjustment screws that you showed. I have looked with a flashlight and they simply are not there. This doesn't see to be verifiable on google or youtube because the 2021 models are too new....I guess? I just went and tried it and the adjustment screws are at the top of the light on the 2021 Jeep wrangler Rubicon!

    I don’t understand your “3ft mark” ?
The way your supposed to aim DOT VOR headlight is to measure the height of the center of the headlight and then at 25ft :
Same height if height is between 22" and 36"
    -2" if between 36" and 48"
    -4" if between 48" and 54"
Headlights should be no lower than 22" and no higher than 54"
