No... incorrect... at 3 feet, you made no accounting for the angle. If a vehicles headlights are 3 feet off the ground then they would adjust to being parallel to the ground... And lots of drivers angrily flashing them. What you need is 2" of drop in 25 feet of distance. So 3 feet would only be accurate at 25' if your jeeps headlights are 3 feet 2 inches when up close to the wall. Here are the correct steps for ANY vehicle: 1) Mark headlight height on wall at 5 feet of distance. 2) Back vehicle up to 30 feet distance. 3) Adjust height so they are 2 inches lower than the tape marks. You're welcome.
There is a bit of a thrill with unajusted LEDs when people flash you and you flash back like "THIS ISNT EVEN MY FULL POWER!!" but when people start to strobe you on the highway and you actually are blinded... You know it's time to adjust them.
Not the correct way to adjust will fail in most countries that check beams doing this. . Need to measure from headlight center dimple to floor then tape this to wall as of course every vehicle is different. Then the drivers side is minus 4" and passenger side is -minus 2" below centre at 25ft on a FLAT and LEVEL road.
There are other video's that say that you adjust the left headlight 2 inches below the right headlight you adjusted your headlights level with each other.
you enjoy getting flashed? imagine how everyone else feels when your low beams are actually aimed like high beams
Bro thank you for this video... I literally got pulled over for my lights yesterday and definitely gotta pop that hood and adjust 😎10 thumbs up for still putting this video out there with a shoulder sling
Measure from the center of the headlight to ground for height as not all Jeeps are at the same height then subtract 2” from headlight height. Eg if headlight center or dot headlight is 38” from ground then 36” at 25’ ft away from a vertical wall on level surface would be correct.
I wish someone could do the math in 5 ft increments away from the surface. Can't get 25 ft away from my garage, I'll be in the road
Excellent point, everyone should at some point check the aim of the lights even if there was no lifting involved, thanks for sharing.
I thought leds are illegal. People doing read very well online.
Most informative and explanatory tutorial on the adjusting of Wrangler headlights. Thank you so very much for putting this out there!
Thank you a straight forward explanation on how to do this.
JL Solo, no co pilots needed. You got this with one arm. Useful knowledge. Great video. Thanks.
It’s super nice to hear you explain it in simple format for an idiot like me. Unlike some other videos that give you all these numbers when I just need simple. Thank bro have a great day! Merry Christmas!
Great instructional video! Very helpful. Thanks!
Thanks Ben, I will adjust them ! Best regards from The Netherlands 🇳🇱❤️🇺🇸👍✌️✌️✌️✌️
Thank you! The quilt I feel every morning going to work blinding ppl.
It didn't matter with factory lights, they were so dim. But I've been getting flashed a ton with new led. Great video, I'm fixing tonight
Thx Ben, hope that arm healed up well !
This is a good video . I love flashbacks as much as the next guy however it has occurred to me that, legally speaking, I’m in the wrong even if just the misadjusted low beams are on. So here I am. Anyways good video and good thing to do to finish up the lift.
