- Isabella wants to step back in time for her dream day to an era where women had high hair, wore bone corsets and hid their true identities behind Venetian carnival masks. She enlists the help of Wedding Planner David Connolly to create this costume ball. Even though Isabella may have the vision, her fiancé David isn't keen on how much money it will take to pull it off.

This guy is my favorite wedding coordinator on this show.
And mine !!!!!
Yes! Mine too
Yesereee
I was just saying that to my husband when yours caught my eye
David is the only one that doesn’t side with the bride… (as far as I’ve seen) and stays realistic with the budget
Bride says "I got the masks for the guests at $3.25 ea." YES! Get it girl! I'm proud of you!! I had to watch it again because finding a good bargain is so satisfying!!
This wedding shows that when you have good taste, listen to your wedding planner, stick to the plan and actually save for your over the top wedding you can stay within budget
The first under-budget wedding I've ever watched 😱
Me too.
Not to mention, they still had a fabulous wedding. She saved up the money, she knew exactly what she wanted.
I love that she stood up for herself and her vision. There is nothing wrong with spending money on your wedding when you have budgeted and saved for it.
Yes she saved for it but I wonder how much the groom helped her save by covering the monthly bills? If so and he enabled her to save it is really their money.
Did you also love her rudeness?
@@interestedobserver-gk3ihThe wedding day is just the beginning. Is she thinking about the day after?
Well dearie what happens is it's called LIFE. Someone gets fired a company dissolves so one person's out of a job and now you have a $30-40,000 bill hanging over your head. Then oops somebody's pregnant... But we weren't going to have a baby for 3 to 5 years!!!
People should just have small weddings at churches with very close family and very close friends. And they can make ia zoom out of it and show everybody else that's not invited. You will never regret saving money for a rainy day! I know been there done that!
@@evangelinegriffith8029 that's what I was wondering too... has she even considered that life happens after the wedding?... I mean its beautiful and all but it's a good thing her husband said no to some things cause they'd surely have gone way more over the budget.
I loved this episode. She knew what she wanted and she had saved up for it. She wasn't obnoxious like other brides on this show.
This is one of the more lavish weddings I’ve seen on this show, and surprisingly, the first wedding to come in under budget! What an exquisite wedding and a lovely couple. I wish them all the best.
I’m glad the wedding coordinator threw the “don’t speak until I’m finished” back at her. She was being a little rude and his response to her was a gentle reminder of that. Her attitude became more conciliatory and compromising with him after that which was good because he was being pragmatic to her “optimism” about the budget. She DID save up herself WHILE SHE WAS STILL SINGLE for it so.... go for it girl and use his help to stay in your budget.
I don't think that was rude at all, she just wanted to explain everything before the wedding planner responded.
As someone who is spoken over by every man in her personal and professional life, I myself have learned to say "I'm sorry did the middle of my sentence interrupt the beginning of yours?".
I hate being spoken over. If you think I'm bitchy for reminding you not to be rude, you should know I think you're an inconsiderate person who thinks only they have input of importance.
Wait your turn, it's not that difficult.
@@ahench22 You're so right! That's a good saying. I love this wedding planner but that was actually rude of HIM to butt in ALSO who even talks that way to a client.
Great planning! I have to hand it to this couple, they both embraced fully the vision and complemented each other in terms of dream and practicality. It's a great partnership and David completed the triumvirate. I would have loved to be part of the wedding party, with the costumes and practices, though with a bit of stress, I'm sure they had fun.
The couples dancing almost made me cry. That was really special. The dance came out super elegant. Very nice. Also, props to the bride for saving her money! Smart gal.
That dress was amazing for $1,700!
Yeah! Much better than all those expensive dresses at Kleinfield
@@zinnagonzalezcadena174 I’ve seen so many of those Kleinfeld’s shows that when a bride asks how much a gown costs and the salesperson says “15” or “17” I assume they mean thousands, so I can’t believe that gorgeous dress was only $1700.
This was in 2007
@@maggiemay97Today that dress would be at least $4,000
First time I saw a couple come in under budget and by far the BEST wedding I have ever seen...
The wedding looked beautiful. She was much more ready to compromise than some brides on this show, plus she was paying for the wedding herself which is a plus. She didn't seem entitled like some.
She is unique in this series bc it is usually the most demanding entitled rude wedding partner that has contributed the least toward the budget and makes the last amount of money. IMO they tend to overspend bc it's not their money and more importantly it will fall on their spouse to pay off debts incurred. They never seem to think about getting a second job to enhance the budget or to pay off the debt. There are somethings worth going in debt over to pay off overtime: school loans, cars, houses, etc. but IMO not for a one day affair that attendees will forget about in a matter of weeks or months.
the dancing thing was over the line. Some people do not feel comfortable doing that. Dressing up in costumes can be a step too far for some, let alone ones that they have to pay for and can't use again. Plus performing in front of a hundred people. Then she started yelling at them when they were doing her a favour
That wedding was incredible.
So beautiful!💜. I think my favorite I have seen so far; and, compared to how some spend their $50,000 on a wedding 👰, I thought this one looked much more expensive than what was spent. Great job!
I was amazed with the theme and the decor was perfect, the costumes, the dances. It was magnificent! I really love it. The bride is so smart! Lovely couple with the fabulous and talented wedding planner. The wedding was a grand wedding! 👏 bravo.
More like a "Venetian Themed Wedding" -- the best themed wedding I have seen in a long time also the couple agreed and worked together. And even though the wife paid for the wedding the husband for the most part went along with her ideas. Loved her dress and the costume theme. Loved the masks too.
Venetian carnival, wasnt simply Venice.
Davis is the best weeding coordinator! I am glad to see him back!
This show is from 2007. This show is not being made anymore.
Awesome. I love that time period too. Verslailles is unbelievable. The series was one of the best I've ever watched.
VERSAILLES, maybe.....not just a television show🙄
@@laurahoward5426 I didn't say just a television show. I was also referring to the actual place. It's amazing you should look it up.
This was an 18th century Venetian wedding. But Versailles and all of the chateaus in France are stunning. I spent summers in France when I was a child. ☺️
Absolutely beautiful wedding. I’m jealous I didn’t get to go! I wish they’d shown more of it
Only a teacher could pull off such a creative in budget and beautiful wedding 🙂.
That's what makes DC one of the best planners the man is a genius with budget!! And I love how he keeps his cool and adds that calmness bringing order to chaos attitude
I liked her dress. That must've been hard to accomplish the whole theme when trends are in and people can I insist u want something u don't.
She is conflating Italian Venice with French Versailles
THANK YOU. She also kept using 18th century and 1800's interchangeably, which it isn't.
She was hands down my favorite bride in this show
This was the best wedding I’ve ever seen. I loved it! They are an awesome couple. I love how each listened to each other and the planner and made adjustments as necessary without whining.
A consultant with a white undershirt tank top with a bra showing through just doesn't scream classy bridal shop. Glad they enjoyed their wedding, it was beautiful.
Classiest & Most Beautiful Wedding Yet!!!
ABSOUTLEY GORGEOUS!
Be so very proud.
This weddung coordinator is the best in this series and to me worth more than what he gets paid for all he does. I have no doubt any wedding he does will meet the expectations of the couple. & what a beautiful wedding! This couple had a great vision & this wedding will be remembered by all the guests who attended probably for the rest of their lives... how many weddings can you say that for?!
D.C. was right. The venue looked perfect as it was. All in all the best wedding planner in the show!
So far this is the only couple that didn't go over budget 😮😊🎉🎉 and plus I love the theme and no bridezilla, they worked it out.
That was fun! I don't think that I would have blown $55,000 on a wedding myself, but I would have loved to be a guest at that wedding! (I'm a costume geek.😊)
Courthouse wedding, nice meal with family....and a down-payment on a house
I didn't like that they asked their bridal party to rent all that stuff for over a hundred bucks. At least if a bridesmaid buys her own dress she gets to keep it
I did all that and we never had the money to buy house. We have been married for 25 years. Along with down payment you need good credit. Not everyone who spends less on the wedding ends up with money to buy house. My parents had big wedding and bought house.
This was the most elegant themed wedding on your show. Fabulous! So many of the "theme" weddings ending up looking chintzy, cheap and awful. This be far needs an award.
The bride was amazing. And yes the groom was precious 💓 The wedding coordinator.... amazing as always. My dream wedding lived through this beautiful couple. God bless you both always 🙏😘💞
Totally gorgeous. I love 18th century style!!!!
Best wedding, best couple, best dress, and the wedding was under budget? Oh heck yes I adore this couple in this episode 🥰🥰🥰♥️♥️♥️
I hired similar Dress to the bridal party and years later I made one out of curtains and it's still being worn by myself and Friends 💜 ⛪💜 I actually love the theme and actually make Victorian Gothic Steampunk style outfits headwear Etc as a Hobby 💜😈💜 I even have a bossy sister 😂😂😂😂
Do you have an Etsy?
Hey do you still make gowns because I am looking for something similar for my wedding dress.
This is the most spectacular wedding I've ever seen!!!! The best episode EVER! Totally not a theme I'd ever think would be actually good. Normally I think weddings with a theme are tacky, but this is phenomenal. The wedding reception decor, her dress & the wedding party looked incredible. Well done, definitely one I'll always remember.
Isabella you are a real teacher! I can tell! You managed your beautiful wedding as a lesson plan! Very nice and creative!
So the family had to dress up in costumes for her. Make time to learn a dance they felt ridiculous doing. They were respectful enough not to tell her this was an extreme idea. The family is amazing. I suspect David went to a vacation after this.
What are you talking about? It was an amazing idea and it was their wedding so they can do what they want. If someone was uncomfortable they could've dropped out of the wedding party.
It was her bridal party. Thats part of being in wedding is ridiculous getup couple chooses and sometimes more.First wedding I was in couple married at historic site they both worked summers at. went whole 18/19th century fort theme. groomsman in short pants, knee socks and rufffled tops with finger weave belts. Us in high necked puffy blouses and brocade skirts from history book. Bride only one who didnt, was in her mother's gown. Heck we came in by canoe.
What a beautiful wedding. Not tacky and something that all the guests will remember.
I would LOVE to be a part of a friend's theme wedding. Hell if my best friend came to me with this kind of idea I'd do everything in my power to get her magical artistic vision.
What a gorgeous wedding! Fairy-tale! Love it!!
This episode was so awesome to watch. I have always loved the 'old ages'...so wonderful to see them come back in the '21st century '.
somebody get me in one of those dresses for a party! wheeeeeeeee~~~~~~~~~ So FUN! Her dress is beautiful!! I love how husband agreed to this theme!
I like her. She kept her cool when the going got tough. I think they’re a great couple too
I absolutely loved this one. Everything was gorgeous!
this bride is okay, she didn't seem bratty plus she is spending her own money
Love this couple! This bride was a great planner and stuck to her vision! The groom was lovely and mild mannered! I hope they are still together! They are a fabulous pair!
She is a teacher at a friend's child's school in Mississauga and she is still married with 2 children
Bravo to you on the budget!
Completely unique + fun theme! Love it! Good job 👍 So different ~
I wish they still made dresses like 13:30 and 13:57 I really hope these will come back!
edit: 14:50 my jaw hit the floor! I just wish she was nicer.
That was beautiful!! Awesome!!
I worry when one spouse feels like it's their money and therefore they get to have the final say.
She did save the money herself while she was still single. She was the one with the vision.
Omg you are so pretty!!!!!
That’s a beautiful spacious hall.
This bride can dream big cuz SHE is paying for nearly all of it unlike the bridezillas than have no money..
Use 6 years of savings for house purchase. Build equity not lines & candelabras.
The best wedding I have ever seen!
This wedding was way over the top. 😂😂😂 I would have backed out of this wedding party!!
The groom looked like he was not completely dressed or finished around the neck
I found that very distracting.
I really like this coupl3!!!!
This by far is my favorite one
Best one yet! ❤❤❤
Ow, the groom has a very calm energy. It's so nice!
Loved the dance! They were both mature! One of the first I have seen!
The most beautiful calm episode
That was gorgeous 😊
Can you imagine going under budget by $49 for a Venetian masquerade 💒? I can, but with a different theme and a compromise budget with my future husband.
does he know
@@Selena-gz9ts I’m not dating
I love this couple...so adorable!!!
finally one couple who managed to stay under the budget
This episode was definitely my favorite ❤ It was so beautiful 🤩
David is just so adorable !!!!!
This my favorite episode so far
Beautiful theme
Stellar wedding!!!
David Connolly is my favorite.
I really enjoyed watching this couple plan their wedding!! Very creative and none of that whining like most of the other brides...
Very cool, memorable Wedding ✨️💍✨️
She saved an awful lot of money on a teacher's salary. The production takes attention away from the bride and groom.
One of the best dress at such a low price even better than those expensive kleinfeld dress🥰🥰
I'm only about half way through so idk what they do but variations on those $125 masks can be bought cheap, like "nice" for $5 to $20... and decent for as low as a dollar, for guests and bridal party. I'd just get the ones they like for themselves at the high end mask shop, buy the rest online, like from Oriental Trade co, Amazon, ebay or Dollar 🌲.
I'm not sure if Amazon was awesome like today. But I totally agree!!
@@nunusung9563 idk, how old IS this show? LOL But Oriental Trade is probably where Amazon gets half of theirs anyhow. They have been around forever. back in the eighties teachers used to buy from them a lot. Before online ordering, before late night tv infomercials, there was catalog ordering, mail order was the hotness ...for my Grandma and her gfs. Oriental Trade has been in the game since 1932.
@@tiffystrangebirdbrown6844 I honestly have never heard of oriental trade to be honest. Lol 😆
@@nunusung9563 They were the amazon of plastic party favors and teacher prize boxes everywhere. To order from them, you had to buy in bulk and be in business yourself. I'm not sure anymore though they are still in business. They are big players still, a giant outlet.
Out of all the these shows I watched, only one I have seen so far that actually didn’t go over budget, but instead was under budget by like 5-10 thousand dollars
Love their theme
Cool wedding theme.
What worries me about theme weddings is really quite simple. Often it seems that the 'theme' takes over from the real reason for the vows, especially when the marriage is made in Church. I didn't get that feeling with this one.
I'm so happy they came in under budget.
This is now 2022, so I hope that they are together and happy.
I would have liked to see or hear more about the hired preformers.
Beautiful wedding
How fun!
Nice theme
Sad to think someone that CHILDISH is teaching CHILDREN!! 😫😫😫😫
She's a real treat
The best feel good episode. The bride was a bit high-handed, but was in it to be married to him.
The groom was so handsome! He look from that time!
The groom annoyed me, the amount of times she said she saved up and it's always been her dream and he tried to knock it down I'm glad she stood up for herself
Best wedding ever!,,
I cant believe that they were under budget no one on this show ever is
DC also reminds me of David Caruso who plays Horatio Caine in CSI Miami
I always thought Horatio Caine looked like Andy Warhol.
I, for one, would have been excited to participate in a wedding such as this.
I'm only a few minutes in, where they haven't told the wedding party about the costumes.
I’m annoyed that the groom, who is barely contributing, was trying to reign her in on her spending money she saved for her wedding. She saved it just for this reason, bro, stfu. She’s not asking anyone else for anything.
