Terry it is very true about how welding rays effect people differently, If I just welded one of those in a tank top, I would look like a Red lobster and hurt! like being on the beach in the sun all day. Great build and fixture welding work!!!!👍
How's she goin'? That's the way to do it eh!!! You need an armrest, you make one!!! Pretty simple!!! It worked out great too eh!!! Nice job again on the welding. Thanks for sharing!!!
Breaking news Txsviking changes name of channel to Armchair Welding. Nice job, the more comfortable you are the better and longer you can work. Now ya gotta get your gas lines on a bungee cord so they move with ya as you work. Easy? Naw you just make it seem that way. Oh and when you add the armchair, make it a recliner with heat and a vibrator for those naps right before Miller time.
I’m always amazed..... I keep saying...... one day I will try that, I’m sure I can do that......I just seen you setting up on what you call your armrest.....didn’t see that until the end.....well done....CHEERS
The armrest is a cool setup. Being able to get comfortable is the key to a good job. You are a Master at making Jigs, and such to make your job better. You are a Master welder, but you are also very skilled setup requirements to make it work out correctly. Thank you for sharing some of your tricks with us. I always learn something from your videos. It may be as simple as how large and where you place tacks, and which direction you weld a part, or if you stagger a weld to pull a part straight. Take Care and Stay Safe Bob
good idea about the arm rest, but I'd have to round the corners because I'd have my old paper thin skin ripped up, what welding I do is with the stick welder and I wear a t shirt, it don't take long till I have a pretty good sun burn,, that deburring gadget, it is made of some thing like carbide?
Good idea Terry. Jolly good
Thanks Ron.
Great project Thanks for sharing
Thank you.
Very nice video here to give my support.thanks for sharing

That's a great idea!
Easy to make with some drops from an old job. Thanks
@@txsviking I'll be digging through the scrap pile when I get off work. Hope you don't mind if I swipe the idea :).

I like that Terry, works perfect
I have several jobs that it will help with. Thanks Lloyd.
Very clever! How was the jig attached to the turntable? I thought I saw a couple of tack welds?
Yes, two tacks kept it centered. Thanks Chris.

Thank you Robert.
Simple but - most effective! Comfort with position is so critical. ATB
Thanks Chris, it is that.

Terry have taught, or thought about, passing on your amazing skills to a young apprentice?
I’d like to be that apprentice!!!
I had plenty work for me over the last 45 years.
You were supposed to tighten a bolt into the section opposite the clamp. Looks like thats why it warped a bit. Nice armrest though. 🤙
I told my customer to add a threaded hole for future orders to fix that. For these, it was an easy step to straighten them. Thanks.
Good idea Terry,, My hand shakes like mad sometimes and I have to give it away for an hour, then go back to it. Regards Frank
Thanks, I hope it helps.

It's made out of the same thing drill bits are made from. I don't know the real name for it but we always called it a whorly gig.
@@txsviking I've always called them a "Nogger" - because the first ones I used were made by Noga. Don't know if they invented them.
@@MidEngineering Thanks for the info.
