    Good-Day David,
    "The sugarcane juice vendor wants to know".
    What is your informed advice for a sugarcane juice vendor operating a TuboBiz TT750D, say somewhere in
    Manilla, without refrigeration or refrigeration facilities.
    That sugarcane juice vendor receives a freshly harvested batch of sugarcane stalks on July 4th.
    The sugarcane stalks were harvested by 9 AM that day AND received by the vendor by noon the same day.
    QUESTION: Is the sugarcane juice pressed on July 4th going to taste the same, as the juice from the
    remainder of the batch - juiced five days later on July 9th?
    Under normal tropical-climate Manilla conditions, how long can the sugarcane stalks above, be relied upon,
    without refrigeration, to produce tasty healthy sugarcane juice?
    Thank you David, keep up your excellent efforts.
    You might be surprised to know the increasing number of folks, that you are catapulting into economic
    self-sufficiency.

      Better is water cleaning because the skin acts as a natural wrapper on the skin keeping the moisture in. Also you can dip the ends in wax to seal them.

    Hi David my question is how many liter/gallon can make juice from 1 ton of sugarcane stick?

    • @DavidsCaneMachines
      @DavidsCaneMachines  Před 11 měsíci +1

      It all depends on the crusher. The best crushers will produce 700 liters per ton. Most of machines can achieve that. There are many factors that determine capacity. Freshness and variety of cane. Diameter and weight of canes. Time of the year harvested. Operator ability. My best advice is to be conservative in your figures. You will be pleasantly surprised if you do this at the end of the month. Good luck my friend

  • @mehere8038
    @mehere8038 Před 2 lety +1

    doesn't make sense to me to freeze it as cane instead of juicing it first & then freezing just the juice. That's what I do with mine, my freezer barely has space for all the juice, let alone trying to fit the cane in there!

    • @DavidsCaneMachines
      @DavidsCaneMachines  Před 2 lety

      The video was about exporting sugarcane for sugarcane juice vendors. For small quantities, freezing just the juice is a good space saving idea.

    • @mehere8038
      @mehere8038 Před 2 lety

      @@DavidsCaneMachines ok, but surely they can just find a way to sell it after it's been juiced before freezing & then exported?
      I love your slushie idea btw, my favourite way to eat my own is straight from the freezer, frozen in those ice block moulds with sticks in them. I've never had the chance to try a sugarcane juice slushie, but would imagine they would be beyond delicious & probably no additional set up costs or dramas to sell imported cane juice converted into slushies onsite, compared to making the juice onsite.
      Just kinda seems crazy to me to be freezing & shipping whole cane so as to claim the juice is "fresh" or "freshly squeezed"

    How does the frozen cane process (in a juicer) compared to unfrozen, or must you thaw the cane?

    • @DavidsCaneMachines
      @DavidsCaneMachines  Před 7 lety +1

      You absolutely must thaw out the cane all the way or you will be breaking cane extractor rollers and bearings as frozen cane is hard as steel. I have a video here where I show myself juicing thawed frozen sugarcane. Click the link czcams.com/video/QznPtiFckcA/video.html

    • @kiwiwriter
      @kiwiwriter Před 7 lety

      Good man, That's important information, and with the frozen product, is making a business look very viable. I can only gather (grow) enough stock for propagation next year, but the next growing season, I'll be aiming for approx an acre with 1/3 cane, 1/3 ratoon*, 1/3 other food for me and cover crops. I'll rotate each year.
      Nobody grows sugar in my neck of the woods. But a friend and myself have found it'll grow just fine, and has none of the commercial pests. Sure we won't get record crops here, but that doesn't matter if you can get ~70% juice from it. Large scale we're too small to compete with big sugar companies, so kinda lucky for a niche business like this.
      I'll definitely be wanting some of your toys.
      *from second year.
