If you use Nitrogen to freeze it within 45 minutes of cutting the canes you can hold the taste and color for much longer

You said cane juice only lasts a day if you add lime. I use lime and it lasts me up to three days. Does the amount of lime added affect the preservation time?
labyrinthodont 6 It can last three days (with a good amount of lime in a fridge)but certainly will not taste as good as the first 24 hours.

As long as it tastes good. You might want to keep it in the fridge to ensure freshness
please david sir. my juice turns brown not in 2 or 3 hours, but in 3 to 5 minutes. i tried adding lemon juice as i am pressing it and it doesn't help much. i cut the cane, wash it really good and even peel it. the peeled one might last longer, but no more than 10 minutes looking soft green. after that, it starts to turn brownish, and totally dark brown the next day
any help you can provide will be deeply appreciated. thanks in advance
In this case it is likely the variety you are using. Some cane juice can oxidize even in seconds. Try changing the variety. Also, you need to know the time from harvest to press. If too long the juice will turn brown faster. Ideally you should juice within a day or two of harvest

There are no additive added to it nor will we ever advocate use of additives if they are not natural. Some people say that something citric like lemon and lime help to lower the PH and increase the shelf life. The key is you should freeze the juice immediately after squeezing the cane. As soon as you fill up a bottle put it in the freezer. You can leave it in the freezer for at least 3 months and it should still taste great after thawing and shaking it up. Good luck friend. David

Hi David .. I tried the freezer method . But my juice is turning brown even if immediately I put the bottle in the freezer . Pls reply wat to do to retain the color .
The could be many reasons forr this. Most likely is the cane you pressed was already more than a day old. Second, it is best to juice out into a pitcher of Ice then pour the already chilled juice into bottles and put in freezer. Third, add something citrus to your juice and make sure you put in the freezer within 2 minutes of juicing. Hope this helps

You have to boil the juice. My secret.
