Another great adventure in the Red River Gorge Jason. That was one GradeA campsite up on top. That Castle Arch is awesome looking and Big ! Always enjoy coming along in the Gorge. Yeeeeah. And then the rain came .
We had a couple of fun days before the rain got us. We sure do need a lot more rain In Kentucky. Have a great day my friend

The RRG looks like a very beautiful area. Lots to see. When do the fall colors hit the peak there? I’ve never heard of Readywise. I’ll check them out.
Fall colors usually hit in mid-October. I’m going to be out there a lot in October
Readywise meals are pretty good. I’ve been buying more of them

I ran into a beautiful bride, in her wedding dress, walking the Whistling Arch trail to meet a photographer and her fiancé for pictures at the overlook just past the arch.. I bet they were awesome. Angel Windows is a short but beautiful trail. I do that trail often when in The Gorge.

We've got an Eagles Nest over here in the Wye Valley Jason and it too is an awesome view point. A great time had there mate. Yeah keep safe and dry if you can. Mark

Did you go directly up the front to Castle Arch? There is a trail that takes you up behind it, no scrambling. Once you cross Swift Camp Creek its to the left. It's hard to pick up at first but after a while it's a pretty clear user trail that takes you up to the back of the arch. I saw 3 otters swimming in SCC when I went there. I love the Red!!!

Well that ended a little damp. The weather is year has been strange, It is like summer here again today.
We are holding onto summer here too. 82 degrees today
Man there is a much easier less sketchy way up to castle arch. Start at the next parking area down 715 and cross the creek there. Trail starts over across from the big boulder. Also an easier way to get on top. Go to the left from where you came up and you’ll find the way
I was on that trail up top. I wish I would’ve stayed on it. Have a fun weekend
