I honestly wish that HTC would use this exact design in 2018 and just put better specs under the hood. Remove the key bar and add on screen buttons or wait for P gestures. This still looks better than most phones nowadays.

My 5th year on HTC m7, really seeing the gap in technology. This phone doesn't run well with 5g network aka LTE. Battery is barely lasting over a day so games and snapchats and instagrams would have to be kept at a minimum use. Processor is running slow on modern games. Speaker isn't good in terms of loudness in public; but still an excellent choice for indoor watching CZcams on bed. The speaker still has a nice rich, full sound to it. The beats audio equalizer is still pretty good with any headphones.
All buttons fully functioning. Still tanking through drops on the ground no crack on screen. Camera has lots of noise in low lightshot, but I've never gotten the tint like others, althought I do have a huge crack in rear camera. Never had the chance to use front facing camera because I'm too ugly and I look even worse in the camera angle. Software supports are all dead, running on android 5.0.2 and HTC sense 6.0. Amazing journey with this guy

HTC One 2013 was the best smartphone ever! Full metal body, such a great design and double speaker with excellent sound!
The brand was offering the One, Mini and Max! Apple did the same only in 2020!
But lack of marketing and other stuff were crucial!
A big shame that HTC missed the chance to lead the android market and to become a real competitor!

Last weeks of 2021 and still this phone looks as fresh as when it first came out ages ago. Would love it if HTC decided to update this one with today's top hardware and get rid of the capacitive buttons. Just imagine this one with android 12...

No removable battery or SD slot? I just can't consider this phone. No hate intentions but even Lenovos latest phones have both. Battery issue is becoming less important due to improvements in that area but I still want it. SD card slot? absolutely ~NO~ excuse for not having that. No, I don't to hear about the "cloud" nonsense and some of us don't want to use that in every context. I take lots of video and pictures.. have lots of music and maybe I don't want all of it uploaded. Nice phone but cut out the balogne.

4 years of usage and #HTCOne #M7 still has THE BEST Speakers ever.
I have never seen the sound break at any levels. And it still Booms.
Although I started getting disappointed with the camera after a year(kind of) in comparison to other phones but nobody could beat the stout metal premium design of this phone for sometime.
After a recent 4 ft drop, the M7 screen shattered but it's still working with a clear tape on top.
So, I just bought the #GooglePixel. Super fast, Super bad speaker placement.
Camera is awesome until you notice the lens flare or halo in majority of your naturally/artificially lit scenes. How could the designers ignore such a big hardware problem in their Premium phones?
This is the first time I watched this MKBHD video on #HTCOne. Probably because I am missing my M7 still now :-(

Using this phone in 2015 :) fast as hell, awesome battery life (6 hours of screen time), never used a case for it and it is still without any marks whatsoever. Only issue is pink camera in poor light conditions (perfect in daylight).

      @DrEnword Před 10 lety

If it's a hardware issue, I don't think a software update will fix it. It costs $90 to fix it without the warranty.

My HTC one arrived only a week ago and I am loving it. Very good replacement for my old HTC legend. I was a bit weary of beats audio but the sound quality is still superb. I like the new HTC sense aswell. The home button taps is really useful and glad you mentioned them in your vid because I wouldn't have figured that out.

I regret buying this phone for around 340 $ off contract last month, since it's now only 200 $ on amazon, This was my first android phone and didn't do many research on android until I had this phone for 2-3 days, 1 week after i bought this phone, i went to another store to see the galaxy s5 for only 275$. But it's still a great phone overall, and it's a great new experience for me after using iphones for a longggg time.

Tia S Wait! There are much better cameras out there. If you don't mind a decent camera rather than a great camera, then yes, I recommend the M7. Remember that it's a 4 mega pixel camera while most phones today have at least 8 and some up to 13. By the way, I just bought the M7 again yesterday and I'm having mixed feelings about the operating system, layout, etc. But i LOVE the display and the beats front facing speakers.
