    I have incorporated your idea of the " center of the machine " into my drives in the last couple of rounds. I have seen an incredible improvement in the height of my drives. Not 100% every time yet but a work in progress. Still have to get away from " Hitting the ball " instead of gathering it. I have only started watching your videos in the last week, but your teaching makes so much sense. I am 72 years old and have been playing for 5 years. I am an 8 handicap only because I break 80 enough times to lower it. I usually shoot in the low 80's. I have been using my innate athletic ability to be able to play this well. But I have reached a plateau. I am going to start to use your drills to break the chain. So thank you for some useful ideas!!!

    12 months ago I returned to golf after 10yrs not playing (I’m 65), I started playing with my old school fundamentals and swing, struggling with poor strike and distance. I’ve had lessons & watched countless CZcams videos trying to sort out my game to no avail. Then I watch this video and it was a revelation! The next day I played a links course with 30 mph winds & hit the ball at least 30 to 40 yards further with the driver into wind and with a beautiful high penetrating trajectory, my irons were another surprise holding their line and trajectory also with 20 to 30 yards extra distance and all with so much less effort. Why did no one show me how to swing this way...!!!!?? Thank you..!

    Coach, this lesson comes at the perfect time. The bonus secret about ball position and tee height with driver is often overlooked and ignored by most weekend warriors. This hugely impacts strike point, ball speed, smash factor, face to path, swing path, etc. Mixing these with proper ground force reaction is a lethal combo for huge distance.
    My position tends to creep to far forward in my stance and I end up chasing after the ball relying on flash speed + hand-eye coordination to make solid contact. When my ball position and strike are right my smash is between 1.49-1.51 with ball speeds ranging from 175-180mph. I am going to put your tips to the test and go full throttle to ramp up even more ball speed to try to catch up to MU!! 💪
    Cheers

    I like the strong grip method with the closed face. I feel you have to find your grip, then go slow with your natural swing to impact and then address the ball if the clubface is open just ever so slight close it to square. I’ve been doing this with all of my clubs and marking where my thumbs are on the grip. The lightbulb went off watching your videos. I’m a consistent golfer, for instance my misses on my natural swing are always found in the same exact spot. I’m looking to keep my natural swing but make minor tweaks all around that still allow me to keep that and not change my swing

    Wow i umm just discovered I've been swinging with way to much arms for way to long :) , went out to the course today tried swinging with the "weight of my arms" rather than swinging with my arms. I'm not in great shape but i went from 235 -245 Drives to 275-285 Drives after 20 minutes. :) this is insane stuff 275 feels so easy now and 245 felt like i was going to strain my body to hit that hard .... Effort level is like a 3 on the 275 and it felt like a 9 to get the 245 ;) love your videos you make golf more fun :)

    I've watched many of those videos from 2007, back in 2007. I used to watch them over and over. I learned to swing the Clement way, and never looked back. The secret is in relaxing the arms and using "catapult power" I.E. momentum to swing the club effortlessly, in the direction that you want your ball flight to start. Sav has truly embraced the idea of turning the hips with the ribcage. Her backswing looks just like Jack's. That's why her numbers are off the charts. Momentum.

    Have you seen Drew Cooper's swing? There's starting to be more videos of him on CZcams. 205+ ball speed with the smoothest swing I've seen. He talks about how to begin the backswing he thinks of heaving something heavy forward. Your tips are really helping me, but I have an issue that's mental when I play. If the hole is tight at all, I think I'm swinging nervous because I know it will go long and wrong if I miss it. When I'm nervous, I seem to block it to the right. I know I'm probably swaying when I'm nervous. If it's open, I'm fine, and hit some around 330.

    Hi Shawn, one question about tee height and COG of the driver. I went and had a go at this and hit the ball so much better "funny enough you haven't steered me wrong yet" but did find it went high and a little left, not draw just flight. I though hand position may be the issue. anyway, another cracking video and I'm sorry I haven't subscribed to the premium channel but COVID and dollars in Australia are making it hard. Thanks again

This stuff is for real, i picked up 10 yards on my irons instantly in my simulator and started hitting my 9 iron 160 carry. Took it to the course and was hitting it high and straight for the most part. I carried one 9 iron (pull fade) 170 minimum. Can't wait to get used to this and sent this video to my friends.

    65° outside and man did I hit alot of golfballs today. :) :) :). I'm very satisfied with my all aspects of my game.
    You and Mu stomp that right heel to start the backswing. Could this be to start the momentum of that rear glut back, around and up into the backswing. I guess my question is what are your thoughts on a "slight" lateral move of the hips to start the backswing. I look at it as a rebound off a forward press to start the swing. The reason I'm asking is this has proven to be a golden nugget and is producing positive results. Very impressive Mu nice work.
    Thank yinz

    • @golflessons
      @golflessons  Před 3 lety

      Don’t worry about the “lateral move” that you think you need Mike; remember the walking drill?? 0.0 lateral moves in the walking drill; just changes in pressure...

    At the top of Sav's backswing, her back is pointing to the target.. that is incredible torque! I'm going to try that, but my concern is that I won't be able to square back up consistently.

    • @golflessons
      @golflessons  Před rokem

      Hey Ron! It is not about coming back to the ball, it is about having the momentum to deliver through the ball and into the direction you want to start the ball! A huge deterrent to finishing the backswing and causes of sway off the ball is side vision; see “pulling the ball left shawn clement”
      In our premium channel, you want to see “alignment reload” and then see “blur of club” and the “arc blur unstoppable momentum series” and then see “weight shift with Savy” which talks about having a fully complete turn in the backswing to get a proper weight shift in the downswing. Then see “lead hand release in the backswing” to really open up the backswing completely and the latest video we posted this week and last week called “super slow-super wide-super relaxed” series

    Whenever I try to increase my angle of attack, I wind up hitting on the bottom of the face. I noticed on some of your early attempts you did the same. When I tee the ball high and focus on hitting the tee, I usually make good face contact. I would like to hit the ball in the middle of the face and increase my angle of attack. Is it simply a matter of experimenting with ball placement? Thanks for the great instruction.

    • @golflessons
      @golflessons  Před 3 lety

      Yes, tee height and ball placement; you noticed at the end it was much better and longer because of the strike on the face?

    This is an eyeopener! Everyone tells us to keep the head still and don't bob up and down. What are the position of the hands/wrists on the follow through once the ball has been struck? Just wondering if I use a strong grip like Savvy what stops the ball from hooking?

    • @golflessons
      @golflessons  Před 3 lety +1

      We have this week’s video is on fading and drawing the ball with any grip; Savy is demonstrating a fade; just like Dustin with a 90 degree closed face. This is what ALLOWS ANYONE TO GET ACCESS TO THE TARGET THROUGH THE BALL!!

  • @Qaiser76

      I cannot possibly answer that without some 1-1 time with you; power comes from a Kinetic chain and we would want to see how yours is engaging and where the weak links are and what your focus is over the ball. The best would be to start with the “senior series” on our premium channel and then set up a 1-1 online lesson with me so I can point you to the rest of the videos that will make the difference for you!
