- In 2023, Dodge Greenley revealed that Learning With Pibby wasn't greenlit by Adult Swim. While Pibby isn't becoming a full show yet, there are some recent discoveries that give us hope for the future. There's still a chance for Pibby, even if it's not right now.

I hate to be THAT guy, but this is pretty common practice for companies. They renew trademarks for the sole purpose of nobody being able to profit off the idea, even if they don't plan on doing anything with it.
To quote another Adult Swim show "It's MY IP to sit on and do nothing with"

The biggest problem Learning with Pibby had is the incorporation of copyrighted material. I assume most companies would not enjoy having their properties twisted and mutilated.
However, I could 100% see learning with Pibby take a route of having characters that are CLEARLY references to famous characters, despite not being them legally, similar to "not spiderman" from season 2 episode 8 of invincible.
Maybe they can just make one episode about 1 universe at a time

@@bitsandbytes0 Techincally no. Even if unethical, a company can do whatever they want with an IP without the permission of a showrunner. When you sign a show, you basically sign your IP away over to the company.
Granted, it'd be WILDLY unethical, but it isn't unheard of. Just look at the Powerpuff girls reboot.

"Hope", "animation", "Warner Bros." And "2024" are not words I expected to be together without the word: "no"
To remind you what happened to Trick Moon, WarnerMedia (before it became WBD) was restructuring at the time, and that was the reason the show was abandoned by the network shortly after the pilot aired, including the trademark. It's one of those cases where financial decisions have a higher priority over what the consumer wants or expects, like in the case of the Coyote vs. ACME movie. I would love to see Trick Moon on another network or streaming service, but who knows when or if we'll ever get that.
Maybe it will maybe someone will greenlight trick moon maybe someone very interesting maybe name of candy heart will probably green light someday
Oh. So that’s why Trick Moon didn’t become a series. Many people thought it was because of TTG (which it is not a good reason why), but it’s actually because of financial issues regarding WarnerMedia.

Speaking of Coyote vs. Acme, the fight for it to be released is not over just yet. Samy Burch and a WB spokesperson both confirmed respectively that A.) conversations about the film are still ongoing, and B.) it's still being shopped around to other studios.
And as a bonus, there's some people on 4chan claiming that they have a copy of the entire thing that lacks watermarks and will leak it just in case Warner Bros. doesn't move forward with it. Say what you will about 4chan, but given God knows how many stuff they've inexplicably leaked in the past, let's cross our fingers, pray and believe it when we see it.

The hype for Pibby died out in the first quarter of 2023 before we all found out it got scrapped a couple months later that year.
I'd be damned if it actually becomes a full-blown show though.

Yeah, you must've not been around then. The Pibby trailer still gets commented on to this day on the daily. The hype never died down.
Pibby is still a thing. FNF is keeping it alive.
There's also the fact that they reference outside of CN. Mainly, just the Rocko and SpongeBob backgrounds. Maybe there is something more than it just being delayed. Probably having to do with lawyers and legalities and whatnot.
This was also a thing when DC and Marvel was working on _JLA/Avengers_ and when they were getting Disney and WB to cooperate with adding their characters in _Who Framed Roger Rabbit?_
I'm not saying that's the whole reason why it's being held back, but it's one reason for it.
I hope Pibbie doesn't ever get ruined by corporate jerkwads, because its potential will be stifled by them. Maybe it should stay indie?

Just for those who are thinking about somehow accessing that storyboard sample on dodge's website, pls don't do it and if you already got the access then better not leak it cuz he may have to face some problems if you do. Especially if he is trying to revive Pibby.
So, if I recall right, pibby's villain is supposed to try and embody Twitter as THAT blob you see in the pilot's animatic.
I'll be surprised if Learning with Pibby becomes an actual show, even though it wasn't greenlit by adult swim. But like seeing Dodge's artwork artwork of the characters. Maybe they can get Pibby added in Multiversus Instead.

Part of me hopes the same could happen for Trick Moon, but if the trademark's been abandoned then idk. But as recently as a week ago, the general consensus on Pibby was that it was never getting made, so maybe CN could change their minds down the line like they've done before.
It wouldn't hurt to have another CNS show besides Invincible Fight Girl upcoming.

If they don’t then companies are missing out because of how big pibby became in such a short amount of time if the creator split the money (because of using their characters) they would get millions of dollars because i mean when pibby was first announced it immediately blew up and could possibly bring back shows and make them more popular because people will be like oh i remember this show i wonder how it’s doing now which means more viewers and more money like I forgot about adventure time for a while but seeing the pibby trailer I’m like huh i remember this show and went back to watch it
There is also a new Pibby storyboard that came out a few weeks ago, it may be official, but the storyboard is just so realistic, and real, maybe you can check that out.
I don't think he believes in those leaks. Plus the leaks include something absolutely doesn't match with trailer.

Plus the entry of darkness in leak looks way different from the trailer and the emoji thing too which seems like a discarded idea cuz none of those appear in trailer and April fools. The trailer is more trusty and looks like a final product to me. Sorry buddy but I can't believe it. But Still glad to see atleast we got something which seems like official thing.
@@i-am-biggg a random guy, we don't know much of the crew so that's why it's some random guy, also the leaks are actually a way later date after the trailer because we see that mail man moe has been made, as well as the actors have the exact same voice, no difference.
I'm so happy that there can be hope for this talented series. When I first saw the trailer, my mind was BLOWN. Seeing a simple cartoon character fight back against a hellish glitchy abomination that corrupts the sweetest and friendliest of Cartoon Characters and turns them into something downright freaking horrifying. Even if it may not (or may) become a full series, I think that there could still be hope for Pibby as it could live as an internet show or even in the form of what was originally planned for an entire adult swim show.

ANY chance Pibby had has been thrice flushed down the drain.
1. People interested in the show have since moved on and the people replacing them dont want anything to do with Pibby.
2. Voice actor strikes slowing down production considerably during a economic crisis
3. animation jobs leaving that area and being shipped overseas
4.Expensive getting all the proposed Ips for the show
5. Jellystone is already doing a special that has cartoons from the 90s-00s era of cartoon network. Theyre infamous for not wanting to do similar ideas for shows too close to each other when its not themed.

With indie animated series like Helluva Boss, Murder Drones and The Amazing Digital Circus pulling in major views here on YT, I wouldn't be surprised if Pibby was made into a web series to be broadcast on YT as well. TV and streaming just isn't as widely accessible anymore.

Getting a trademark renewed means absolutely nothing.
Keep in mind Pibby was wayy more popular than Trick moon and they did a lot more with pibby even though it wasn't made into a show.
Another example is a game series Y School Hero's which is a yo kai watch spinoff that got it's english title renewed even though the game is 100% never releasing in English.
This doesn't mean they won't do anything with pibby but it also doesn't mean they will.
Also the website is legit just to show off his work and pibby is front and center cause it's his most popular personal project. 👽

yo theory; soo Gumball and pibby isn't an common subject when talking about breaking the fourth wall in cartoons soooooo in the Gumball movie plot i states that the main characters deal with a threat whilst also creating a new one. any Gumball fan will know that that the threat they're facing up against is the void but the threat that comes when they (hopefully) resolve the void scenario could be the glitch, thoughts???
