Thank you so much for all your wonderful comments - I read every single one and I am so grateful to you. I try to reply to as many as possible, but please don't mind if I don't get to yours.
I have to watch this over and over as it makes me so happy with these vibrant colors
Me too. So much so that I bought the same jelly rolls. Going to try my hand at this gorgeous Trip Around The World quilt. 😊
Beautiful quilt! I absolutely love it. I have to add to your comment though...world politics are very depressing right now. I think it’s called a global depression. That is why I love your channel, Kate. It’s a breath of fresh air, and it takes me back to a simpler and happier time. Thank you.
And global heating. Yes it’s depressing!! ❤
I’m loving this trip around the world from my very comfy tapestry couch. I’m overwhelmed by your talent and your joyful heart. And I’m in awe of Kaffe and Brandon and Philip and their wild and wonderful design minds.😻
Beautiful. You are amazing! I'm 66 and retired. When I worked I had all these creative ideas for "when I'm retired" . Now I am and absolutely loving it. I want to do it all. I enjoy your true love of life and all it offers. It's easy to get depressed with the world but your attitude is contagious and I'm enjoying my projects even more! Thank you, Kate. I, too, have a brown tabbie like Norma. His name is Murphy.
This whole process is incredible to watch. The results are just stunning!
Hi Kate your quilt is beautiful! It reminds me of all the colors in the garden and the sky. I love how your mind thinks about designing. Very inspirational indeed!
Dear Norma, such a big help! My current cat hasn't got a big purr box like Norma, but she does like to help with the quilting. The fabric is absolutely gorgeous!!!! I am happy that you were so happy with your 'work'. What a lucky customer to know that so much love went into her quilt!
I agree the Kaffe fabrics are beautiful, but it is the arrangement of the colors and patterns you created that make the quilt so stunning! If I had a quilt like that on my bed, I would have to run into the bedroom throughout the day just to look at it.
This is absolutely beautiful. I could look at it for hours. That is one of the joys of a beautiful quilt on a bed...the restful wandering of the eye over the squares. The colors are so soothing to me.
Just love your infectuous joy for life. When you talk about the colors... I feel the same. Your client is going to love this. Somewhere you have to put a heart, like you did on the pillow, and sign it. Love watching you do this. Plus... I'm learning a lot.
Pardon m ur quilts is so very beautiful. I sat & did some gluing today. I think what I did cute.❤ L
Gorgeous! I know the feeling of going on until you're too tired. I have it with crochet. I keep going until my eyes strart to fall closed. When I look at you behind that machine I have no idea how you keep it straight. Knowing how things are going. I think I would go crazy if I had to do something like that. But you have a trained eye after all those years making quilts, that's for sure. And your assistant Norma always on your side. 😂 I love watching you work on creating something beautiful. xxxx💕💕
Sandra Oranje yes Sandra, just one more row/round.........oh wait lol
@@annemaguire657 Yes exactly that Anne. 😂 and it doesn't stop at just one round. 😂
Kate - it is so wonderful that you have such a passion for creating !! Just IMAGINE how much better the world would be if everyone or at least the greater majority - could/would have such positive passion : ) Sincerely Your Friend Lynne B
Years ago! When I discovered your creative with fabric AND Cats! Me too😅- thank you💕😂💕Sandi zMyer
The recipient of that quilt must be over the moon.
I love this top piece to your trip around the world. Such beautiful colors that express LOVE and JOY to me. This is a true treasure. The recipient is a very lucky person to have such a beautiful friend as you.
Beautiful colors , beautiful quilt ❣️❣️❣️
Thank u 4 sharing ur video ❤L
My favorite part of quilting is choosing fabrics, colors and creating patterns and layout so this is a treat to see. I always learn something new watching the process of other quilters. The actual hand quilting is a daunting task for me and while I usually work on my own, I can appreciate Amish women qathering together for that task. Who would have thought such a cacaphony of colors evolve into such a great pattern. I love, love how this design turned out!
I do so enjoy you and Anna on you tube, I am a quilter and saw your around the world quilt . Absolutely beautiful Kate. I listen to you almost everyday. Just listening to youkeeps me motivated. Thank you Kate!🙂
Wow, mouthwatering indeed! It's lovely to watch your creative process and see how much you enjoyed making the quilt :)
I love that part also.
You make the quilt beautiful as much as the fabric. Your joins are perfect. Not one out of line. So so beautiful Kate. I love watching your videos..
Glad I'm not the only one that keeps doing just one more until it's really late. I'm always doing that with crocheting (...just 1 more row...) & in a blink it's 3 or 4 in the morning & I haven't even been to bed yet!
I appreciate your apolitical stance. The Last Homely House is my reprieve from the nonsense that is going on in my government and the embarrassment I feel regarding our current stance on the world stage. I come here daily to lower my blood pressure and restore my creative spirit. I live in central Pennsylania. I am a quilter and also love gardening. Thanks you Kate.
I appreciate your sense of humor! “. Snappy title, eh?” 😂😂😂😂😂. Beautiful job. I’m anxious to see how you hand quilt it. I’m a hand quilter too.
Glynny from upstate NY
Ur genius is really inspiring to me ❤ I myself did a dye job on fringy place Matt's, let sit overnight in plastic bag. I saw ur denim jacket video. So that's made me think of a light pullover jacketi made from them I'll leave the seams with fringe out. I can only maybe baste it. When I got the 10 place Matt's out of dryer I was excited to say the least so now I will try to do a layout on the floor. ❤L
Blues and yellows would be lovely x
Now I get it! It makes total sense to me now. It is not only beautiful, it’s striking! I love the colors. 😍
Thank you xxx
I really, really like it too! It's handy to take pictures when creating quilting projects. Looking through a door peephole is good too.
So, so beautiful, Kate! Love this.
I have come back to the videos for the Trip Around the World commissioned quilt more than once. The Kaffe Fassett fabrics are so beautiful and Kate's wonderful handling of them for this quilt is just perfect.
It is so beautiful.
I am loving this quilt. I would give anything to have it.😊
So beautiful Kate, love the colours you choose, and the green as a border is going to look wonderful, have a beautiful week x
Kate, that is a fabulous quilt! That fabric, oh my. 💖
I love your quilts… thank you for sharing. You are so talented…
Kate, this is coming out beautifully! I enjoy your videos they inspire me to keep creating. Thanks for the encouragement.
I love your shows. I am definitely going to make a trip around the world in colourful strips. Love the colour. Enjoying all of your video's.
Looks lovely Kate. if you want some ‘viewing’ without actual quilting yourself and haven’t come across Jordan Fabrics - Donna Jordon, she is very easy to watch.
Realy Kate, you have outdone yourself once more. Truly beatiful work.
Link for Jordon Fabrics. My 8 year old grandson loves watching them with me and was quite excited to see their shop in person last year

@@mariaisabelfuenzalida1825 I agree that Kate is amazing!!!
It's lovely kate
You are amazing Kate. Your quilt is absolutely gorgeous. Thank you for sharing.
Oh this is so very fun. I love Kaffe et al fabrics. They’re so delicious in every way.
I think this is my favorite quilt of yours (although honestly they're all stunning). I just love the reds & oranges together with the cool blues balancing it out. It's going to be gorgeous.
Beautiful
Sweet! I got wild and bought a purple/orange print. I have been adding purple/blue/greens and reds/oranges/golds until I have a variety. This would be a lovely use. Thank you. Mine are all in autumn tones, not so vivid as Kaffe Fasset! I must be revolting, since my next quilt is likely to be shades of brown.
Love Kaffe’s fabric, too! This is a beauty!! I want to try this version of trip around the world. I’ve been eyeing this pattern for a while. Love it!
Oh my I ordered some Kaffee fabric, trip around the world material....as I was watching you making this Kaffee quilt I recognized the fabric! I ran up stairs to get the package, ripped it open, bam, it's the same! I got 25 pieces of 18 by21 fat quarters!! I have no idea what a beginning quilter will do with it, which is put it the basket upstairs for 2 years! I'm still out of breath, I'm 70 yrs. old!!...when I saw the pieces on your wall I nearly fainted !? I know you probably think I'm going daffy!...I so enjoy watching you, in all you do, so talented... Bless you! Oh my I can't believe I've just written this....Jan. L. From Michigan up in the tip of the thumb, next to Lake Huron...In Port Hope, Michigan!😻
What is the name of the fabric rolls. I see free spirit, and kaffe Fassett, no name Please help

Thank you for part 2. Love your instructions.
Looks just wonderful. I don't think I would be able to keep everything organized.
Absolutely stunning
Absolutely gorgeous! ❤
Remember about what I said about being Giddy? That is how you sound! I think it's so wonderful to hear and see your excitement about this quilt. It is beautiful! And I think it's exceeded your expectations! Can't hardly wait for the next installment. The colors and the way they play off each other so well remind me of your Liberty fabrics. Just beautiful!
This is looking gorgeous
Yes such a joyful quilt
This quilt is absolutely gorgeous. Well done.
I never get tired of watching the creative process. How exciting, Kate!
I just want to say thank you for the lapel mike. I've been catching up on old videos and can't hear you on them so it's great to hear you now.
Also I'm trying out English paper piecing, thanks to you, or perhaps all your doing, young Kate! Upcyling items I was not wearing. No budget for buying fabric. Also I love reusing and making art from found and scrounged and donated supplies. I've learned, and taught and exhibited practically every art form there is. Except I never found a way to learn neon, sigh.
Yes, I'm nearly 20 years older than you, so you are young Kate! And a wonderful addition to my CZcams repertoire. I'm making my friends check out your channel.
Love it..thank you
love love love it. and you explained it wonderfully. thank you
🥰💕Kate what a celebration of color! Imagine that quilt top in front of your window! Trip Around The World 🌎 so inspiring to gather fabric from all your travels & put them into my next “ quilt as you go” BRILLIANT!! You always inspire me. Have to try this pattern. Thanks 🥰💕🧶🧵👍👍
