The most painful part of this video is seeing how much food you could buy for only $89.73 back in 2012.
Weren’t those the days? Now I go to the l grocery store, get BOGO items/ use coupons and spend $100 on a bag of groceries…

Yeah it made me fuckin choke lol I was yelling at the screen hahaha
"I can cook, Joe." is still one of the coldest comebacks Gordon has ever given us.
Yes
Spiciest is more like it. In a good way, not a "hot take" kinda way :D

And how he flexes his restaurant in New York
‘’Thats called common sense and in your mind thats not common’’ 💀
"This is what - back in Scotland?" "No. New York."

Oh my god I was like going crazy, he thought he got something with that
Because the Scots would tell him to jam it up arse or eat it. New Yorkers? They enjoy being ramrod-ed

“No” gets me every time 😂😂😂
TELL HIM , TELL HIM

gordon: you just put no effort into your food, it's disgusting

Me, I discovered this show recently and it’s fire 🔥
Me. 😂
My favorite part is the owner saying “our food here is the freshest” followed immediately by the microwave slamming shut and beeping lmao.
I thought that being “self-taught by some of best chefs in Europe” was a doozy.
That was some truly inspired comedy right there. The KN editors woke up and chose violence when they were editing this episode.
it's every episode. the owners are so delusional. that's why gordan is there to begin with. that's why 98 percent fail.
@@Stitchman3875
He acts like he is the Chosen like the best chefs in Europe saw him and boom his aura captivated them so they had to give him, the Avatar of Cooking, their skills so he succeeds to cook the final dish and save the world.
That guy lives so much in his bubble, its incredible. Like it that he is passionate about his farm and the animals but how can you be straight and say it fresh from there while you microwave stuff and have frozen things and worse - not be honest about it.
The bad thing to me is not to sell mediocre food but to hide that its mediocre, if a restaurant openly says that its mediocre but the price also aren't high then for a quick bite I guess it wouldn't be too bad but to be so disrespectful and deceive people, bruh...
@@PuellaMagiHomuraAkemi Exactly! I also thought it was funny when that lady met with Ramsay outside of the restaurant and shows him that most of the meat was bought at a wholesale food club and a local market. Even his waitress said that in the beginning. The raw onions in the soup was a doozy as well. And the Elk Quesadilla, oh boy. Being from California, that would probably earn him as ass kicking. Man couldn't even get his lies straight.

Lmao I agree!! 😂
Honestly, that waitress should've gotten a job offer from Gordon. That was one of the best wait-staff I've ever seen, incredibly professional, logical with conflict against the kitchen staff, forward with complaints.
I agree
i wonder what she's doing
she was very passionate and dedicated...
which waitress??
That fact that the staff were excited to see Gordon tear Joe to shreds says a lot about the way Joe treats them
So true! And before someone says they don't have to work there: it's a small town! Small towns don't offer that many work opportunities, especially in the cooking industry when they probably have only a few restaurants around (if they have more than one in the first place), plus servers tend to be team players - they wouldn't leave the others behind if they could help it.
It may say something about Joe, but it could also say something about them .
@@anthonythompsondiaz277 Let's be fair. In other episodes when the owner is getting shredded by Gordan the workers sometimes feel bad because they know they're not bad people just people in a mess, stressed, stubborn, dumb and scared. But with him he really did seem abusive and rude as fuck to his workers. They all seem so kind and professional too.

Better than "I can cook"
"Well, I do have a confession to make... Joe has been listening."
The collective sighs and shoulder drops ... heartbreaking to watch. 😭
I know gordon tries not to flex his own success but the "I can cook" was so satisfying and well deserved

I was insulted by my exs micro carrot but he wasn’t a chef 😅
“I’ve been eating elk for thirty years!”
Yeah, judging by what you served Gordon, it probably took that long to chew
Being told to "cook my burgers" by Gordon must've felt like an actual compliment as he goes to yell at your boss lmao
The cringe in Amy's voice when she says "and I quote, that is a tender... piece...of...elk" is perfection. The staff here are world class.
That he just continued chewing that elk for a long time was silly 😅
@@gregsaldi1292 😂😂 I've never actually noticed that! But remember, Elk has a bite 😂

Imagine being booted out of your own kitchen, in your own RESTAURANT, by GORDON RAMSAY, then moaning to your customers about why one of the world's greatest chefs is WRONG 😂

Imagine thinking you are better at cooking than Gordon freaking Ramsay while having a bankrupt restaurant 💀
yeah like seriously, even if Joe was correct that Gordon Ramsay is an asshole, he's still an asshole with multiple Michelin Stars and successful restaurants (as in more than one) all over the world
Some pepole can't even see facts inn the eye and give upp. Wich they seem to think is a weekness. Instead off owning upp, they fight gordon and the simple facts and ends upp looking redicules instead. Human behaivour though, no one likes being thr bad guy.
I mean Gordon wouldn't have several Michelin star restaurants if he didn't know anything about food.
That's about 90% of owners looking for his help in his show 😶 unbelievable!
i couldnt stop laughing the entire episode
Ever notice that Gordan always treats the waitstaff with dignity and respect. He never treats them like less than.
Yeah, I respect that. They're just doing their job and to the best of their ability, usually. He does express disappointment sometimes, but nothing more unless genuinly warranted. He's there to argue with the owners who typically have an ego that needs to be checked or let people walk all over them. They're failing for a reason, and the waitstaff are almost never the reason! :)
Servers are literally the face of the business between the customer and the kitchen. And a majority of their income they make is based off not just their service, but the food. People will still tip a server over a shitty meal, at least I do, but I just don't go back.
Funny thing is he usually always treats anyone with respect. You'll notice that his criticisms are always blunt but never aggressive until people get all in their feelings about it. Unless it's really bad, like disgusting or unsafe, then he'll let them have it no matter what lol. He's there for a reason and it's not their feelings, after all.
@@BloodPlusPwnIt seems like he mostly yells at professional chefs who should know better.

This is probably the greatest Kitchen Nightmares episode of all time
I love how sweet and funny GR is with the staff when he's sitting down to eat. It shows his softer comedic side
Tommy is a great chef, Gordon and Joe are arguing right next to him and he still continues cooking. That is one dedicated chef
He can run the kitchen alone ngl, Joe is just there in his way.
Or the fact that he was dead scared by the giant quiet sign 😅
tbf that's all he could do to make sure no heat came his way...
What else are you supposed to do during all that? 😂
He admitted the meat smells bad and changes colour, that he wouldn’t eat it and that he cooks and serves it anyway. That’s not a great or dedicated chef. And you can say he doesn’t want to get fired so he does what he’s told but any decent chef would walk away from that place instead of risking serving dangerous food to customers. Let’s not give people credit they don’t deserveeeeee
The look on the staff’s faces every time GR asks them to remove their name tags.

The way he switched up when he was berating his servers and realized customers were there 💀🤣
The way Gordon beckoned the waitress over with his finger and that “come here you” the way I’d fold so fast
I love how Gordon dresses in civilian clothes when trying out the food because he's standing in the customer's position, and when he's monitoring dinner service, he makes it very clear that he knows his shit as a world-class chef by wearing a chef's suit.
True but its more to do with cleanliness & hygiene, you wear your chefs whites when in the kitchen and don't bring in dirt from outside clothes.

Lol i said the same...Thats not self taught, andddd u didnt go to culinary school 🤦🏾♀️ You are not a chef sir
Right😂😂😂 aka I'm an independently wealthy narcissist so after collecting my inheritance, I traveled to Europe, met a bunch of chefs during my travels and decided it looks easy-I can cook, so I returned, bought a farm (when does he care for his animals bc it's a 24/7 job??) and started my "farm to table" bistro in a very repressed area of NE Ohio.
It was embarrassingly obvious Joe knew NOTHING about the meat he raised. He would have had big game chili, sausages and bison burgers on the menu from the rip. I'm not sure who said it but he was correct once he started saying Gordon's insinuating he's a fraud, cuz he is/was!!
He should hang up the restaurant whim and stick to raising elk and bison, and his chickens/poultry. He's definitely got money from somewhere based on his previous globe trotting through Europe self training😂, and his farm which is quite nice, AND that bistro. I'm sure the only reason he's in the kitchen is to feed his ego- I'd bet donuts to dollars that he doesn't need the revenue. I'm also betting this place went down the tubes...
He probably kept rambling about elk at them while he watched them work, then they told him to go away and he deluded himself into thinking its mentoring.
Amy is amazing. It’s incredible how Joe is so confrontational with chef Ramsey when he is trying to help
How he switched up his attitude when he looked over at the customers 😭😭😭😭 29:45
Tbh the staff in this episode are some of the most memorable in this series. They are all so sweet
4 were fired!
They are hilarious.😂😂 First the Cake burial and then their reactions on him confronting the "Chef"
lol crazy he fired half of them 😂
The loser ended up remodeling his restaurant and renaming it gains after the show filmed, he fired the staff that talked to GR about him, and then he sued the production company for “missing items”, claiming they were missing after the remodel.
Before the place closed, Joe got back into the kitchen (probably in order to add some raw onions into the French onion soup and maybe grill some lettuce…), and the Yelp reviews all had one star.
Seeing how he lies with a straight face, I’m actually shocked they settled the case for 9k$ (edit: read the comments under my comment, I could be wrong on the sum).
In 2016 he sold the place…
Basically he was trying to find a way to get more money out of everyone who tried to help him, but he’s a pathological liar and I hope he fails at everything he does.
“Farm to table” my ass.
He's narcissistic... Toxic person
Oh, I can't find any source saying $9000... as far as I can tell they settled the case for £900.... about $1125usd - which just makes it even more petty.
The police report says a £150 rondeau cooking pot and a plastic tub with several elk stakes or chops were reported missing.
In the lawsuit, he also claimed that the show misrepresented him as a " trigger-happy hot head who did not have a clue about the restaurant business.", and that the ceiling that was dismantled for overhead lighting wasn't fixed afterwards.
Grill some lettuce 😭😭, amazing episode

What Happened Next at Mill Street Bistro?
In the months that followed, the menu at Mill Street Bisto in Ohio had been changed but some of Gordon's changes were kept.
Mill Street Bistro staff were fired including servers Jen, Kayleigh and Rebecca are gone as well as Chef Tommy.
Joe is back in the kitchen as Head Chef.
In December 2013, Joe Nagy renamed and redecorated the restaurant.
Mill Street Bistro in Ohio was relaunched as Maple City Tavern, a family friendly restaurant and the reviews are mostly negative.
In January 2014, Joe from Mill Street Bistro sued Gordon Ramsay's production company for missing items and damage to the restaurant. He settled the claim for £900 compensation.
Mill Street Bistro closed in February 2016 as Joe felt it was the right time to sell up.
The restaurant was sold for $140,000 in March 2016.
Most of the recent Yelp reviewsprior to closure were 1 star reviews and reviews on Trip Advisor were not much better.
The negative reviews are mostly due to poor quality, bland and over priced food.
Mill Street Bistro was aired on March 1st and 8th 2013, the episode was filmed in July 2012 and is Kitchen Nightmares season 6 episode 10 and 11.

And then when joe said “roll the tape back because he didn’t throw me out, I walked out!”
They literally roll the tape back so we can all watch Joe getting thrown out of his own kitchen again! Just for shits and giggles 😂
These editors are hilarious and defos need a raise!
gordon is honestly a good bloke for sticking around and continuing to help, even after being spoken to and lied to the way he is by some of these clowns
Gordan is the master of ultimate insults on the show. Not through words, but actions.
Joe is honestly terrifying. He wants power and so rules with an iron fist, but adopts the attitude that best suits his needs. At first he tries to mirror Gordon, projecting success and authority, but it doesn’t work. The moment Gordon threatens to leave, Joe switches, becoming what he thinks Gordon wants to see. You can actually hear it in real time at the end of part 1/beginning of part 2. And once Gordon agrees to stay and is on his way to overhauling it, he switches back. Unluckily for him, Gordon doesn’t take bs, and sees through him and his gaslighting
Great analysis. For real
Perfect example of a narcissist
That kind of mimicking is a trait of psychopaths. It was a trait noted of HH Holmes. It’s not that Joe is going to murder anyone (probably) but they’re psychopathic traits.
anddd even after agreeing to change and this whole ordeal… he set foot behind the burners. all over again.
The bit that got me was when he was berating the staff, and then the minute he realised customers were there he started being all nice to them and appreciative. Such a horrible man.
When chef Ramsay whispers in the owners ear "i can cook, Joe" it felt like the whole building started burning XD
That was hands down my favorite moment 😂😂
@@zamamncube2437 oohhh yah 😂🤣 Ty 👊 hats of for tht one 🌟👊☮️
I swear l could see Joe physically shrink into the ground.
What an arrogant little man.
He ( the owner) needs therapy badly.

The funeral for the cake was gold 😂😂😂
I haven’t got there yet but have you seen the episode of when they put Fiona in the shredder truck and they said r.i.p Fiona. He was humbling so hard in this ahh
@@BunnyLuvsYouu that was also great. Another good one is the waiters in tuxedos and Gordon makes them line up and pretend to carry a coffin lol
I’m fully convinced that Gordon legit needed therapy after dealing with this man
I don’t think a therapy session would be enough 😂😂
What I would give to listen to the phone calls he has with his wife after a long day with these idiots 😂
If Gordon needed therapy after dealing with Joe, I can imagine what would help him get over the nightmare that was "Amy's Baking Company"
Hell kitchen is his therapy
Imagine being berated in your own kitchen, getting upset, then going out to complain to customers about it like a child 😂
i love when he looks at the other cook and says "chef", its such a small thing but it shows that Gordon respects him but not Joe
Joe saying “I was taught by old school Europeans” is a joke to actual Europeans. There’s no such thing as 'old school Europeans' and if you’re not professionally taught you’re just a cook, not a chef
I'm more of a chef than that man, I learned how to cook from my mom, grandma and great grandma.
And yet I'd NEVER, ever dare make the claim that I could run a restaurant.
@@xanmontes8715 Well I'd also guess you're clever enough to know that even as a decent chef, you can still fail as a restaurateur. Something the subjects of this series obviously just do not understand.
The number of people who Ramsay has to help with decoration, promotion and presentation is sometimes a little shocking.
Agreed my older brother is a 5 star corde un blue chef and has been for 30 years he's worked with Gordan Ramsey, Gary Rhodes etc and he would be absolutely appalled by this man claiming to a person who wears his profession and serves crap.

Gordon: “I can cook”

“ THESE CARROTS GO TO THE FIVE SEASONS!!!!!” Wow that must be an exclusive and super fancy elite place… because no one’s ever heard of it. 😂
I thought Joe was going to apologise for all the stress he had caused. instead it was an "I can change/ we can change" speech straight out of Rocky IV.
When he said “elk is supposed to have a bite” I googled what elk is supposed to taste like, and every description I saw described it as tender and not as gamey as other meats. Lmaooooo
I have had elk many times, and it is supposed to be very tender.

Hilarious how Joe faked being into the changes to get Ramsey off his back. Likely he thought being on this show would be free advertising lol
Narcissist will change, but then they spring right back. Joe was already being his old self again before the ep ended. He doesn't know what a bistro is. And, a few yrs before the place went out of business, Joe changed the name calling it a tavern. I've never seen so much incompetence from one person. The fact that 3 staff members quit was quite telling. He's probably blaming Gordon for his business closing.
@zf5656 he infact tried suing because he said the show ruined him. Or so I heard from another comment
The restaurant was closed in 2016 and the building was sold. It was renamed in 2013 shortly after Ramsey left.
A whole bunch of bad reviews about the owner. Online.
The owner truly destroyed his own business.
The name tags 😄 I love how immediately ready the staff are to just rip them off.
I love how nice he is to the waiters/waitresses because he KNOWS it’s not their fault and I really appreciate Gordon for that
It's just him seeking attention and admiration and them not showing any loyalty to the place they're working at. The funniest thing about that, if any of them ever worked for Gordon and made fun of his restaurant in front of a critic or customer, they'd get fired on the spot.
@@christiangwenner6384you're wrong if that's you you would fire people for no reason

That sous chef is amazing, and Gordon knows it. Trusted him to cook the burgers and knocked out the service after kicking Joe out the kitchen. Man I hope he's doing better for himself. He deserves it.
He’ll have no trouble finding work as a sous. What an opportunity and memory to cook alongside Ramsey during a dinner service!!

27:33 is such an underappreciated moment, looking over to TOMMY and calling him chef and not doing the same for Joe. Followed by how quickly Joe got triggered by that. Ramsay is a legend.
