I used to do street photography in Japan, but mostly stolen shots. I do like candid shots and easier to take with long lens hehe. Asking permission and creating rapport with strangers is challenging indeed and a skill. Kudos and looking forward to more of these!

This is such a cool idea and a nice gesture, to give the to the people you took photos of. I mostly shoot nature and street photography without people so I don't have to ask for their permission 😂

may seem rude, and i don't know the laws where that is but its a public space you should be able to just take pictures of people, you don't have to ask just wait until they aren't looking ;)
