Z71 Chevrolet Silverado 4x4 Off Roading

- I took my 1995 is a Chevrolet Silverado Z71 4 x 4 Pickup truck out into the wilderness and tried to keep up with some lifted jeeps. The old Chevrolet Silverado Z71 4 x 4 K1500 pickup truck did pretty good, and I only got stuck once. If you like driving off road and you like Chevrolet Silverado trucks, this video is a fun one to watch. The national parks are open now, so we took advantage of that and went for a drive in the dirt. This video shows a Z71 Chevrolet Silverado K1500 pickup truck driving off road in dirt and mud.

Yes. I’m really happy we have places we can go and beat up our trucks. It really is a lot of fun to get out into nature and get stuck.

I have a friend, in Canada, sending me one out to Australia. 5.7 bored out and stroked with cam for towing. Hope it still can do 4 wheeling. K1500

If I got a newer silverado I'd lift it and put all the cool stuff on it, if I got an old school silverado like this I'd keep it stock except for changing the tires to All Terrain tires
Yeah. That makes sense. In stock form, this truck has good ground clearance and approach angles, so unless you’re doing crazy stuff, it works pretty well off road.

It was near Frazier Park. I was following some other people, so I don’t know where this exact trail is, but we got off on the exit by the flying J truckstop on Frazier Mountain Park Road and headed west. You can do a search for Frazier Park off-road trails and find all kinds of information and maps online. We had a lot of fun. There is a lot to explore there, and they were definitely some things my truck couldn’t get through.

What size are your tires? I know this is a year late lol
They are 265 75 R16 tires. They work well on this truck, but they rub a little bit on the inside of the back wheel wells when I do crazy things and bottom the suspension out.

Yeah you need higher ground clearance on that Chevy Z71 and I would never go off roading like that on my Chevy K1500 unless I did have the proper ground clearance !!!
Yeah. I’ve learned to never believe the jeep goes on they tell me my truck will do fine on whatever trail they are going to.

Maybe a lift kit needed. Bet it is better going down steep hills than any shorty.
Definitely. I was following lifted jeeps that day, and they can go a lot of places I can’t. For general use, this old Chevy truck has a better approach angle and ground clearance than a new Silverado though.
with a few mods these trucks are great off road

That’s for sure. I was trying to follow some guys in lifted jeeps, and I definitely couldn’t keep up.
