One of the most useful vids out there buddy! I already have the leaf for my head (amazing), but wasn't sure on the twig for beard detail Now I know. You just cost me cash!

Nice video. Thanks for the comparison. I have both the twig and leaf. I find the twig to be the better razor for face shaving. I have thought about shaving my head. That's why I got the leaf, but I just haven't bit the bullet yet.
Thank you borwish. When you do decide to shave your dome with the Leaf. Make sure that you get the sharpest blades that you can get hold of. Avoid Kai though!

Great head shave there Jim, and the lather looks quality, I’m thinking of getting both when I have saved up enough to buy them great video and the video quality is great have you had a new camera or is the ambience of the lighting and warm colour of the room take care and have great week 😀👍
Thank you Mark. I'm using a new ring light, set at the warmer end of the kelvin scale. It emits a nice warm glow. Both excellent dome shavers indeed. But I would definitely opt for the Leaf first.

I use Palmolive shave cream, which cost £2 for a 100 ml tube in Sainsburys supermarket.
Yep, can't go far wrong with Palmolive.

I use the Twig more often as I do both head and face shaves quicker. On the other hand I get a closer shave with the Leaf, but behind the ears and under the nose is a bit of a challenge.

@@JimWillShave unfortunately not Jim as it's rather difficult to ship to South Africa unless I get a local supplier to stock it. At present my choice of blades are Astra Green, Shick, Feather and Bic.

Hi mate. Cracking vid as usual.
I received my leaf today. How many times has yours come undone ? I only realised when my sink was filling with blood the screw had come loose and a blade was wonky and took a massive chunk out my scalp. Kind of puts me off using it again but with all the good reviews I want to keep up with it.

Thank you Charlie. That has happened to me only once. Once was enough. If you nip the screw up finger tight you shouldn't experience any more problems.

I very rarely used post shave balms Charlie. I have very oily skin and I believe that balms bring me out in spots.

The worst shaving cuts I've gotten have been from the leaf. The leaf was a creative thought, but overall a bad design for me. I do want to try the twig at some point.
Sorry to hear that Jester. The only time I draw blood with the Leaf is if I decap a spot on my head.
I might just get twig or thorn for myself.
I've been using cheap disposables ha.
I wear a goatee so think twig or thorn would be handier.

The Thorn is more aggressive than the Twig
I am not one to be picky, but did someone put the Boot in? I mean the Boots shaving Cream 🤣😂🤣 Great comparison Shave Jim👍 The results were as expected when I read the title. I guess a good way to compare the two razors would be to describe the Leaf as a comfortable large family SUV and the Twig as a open topped small sports car that is a lot more fun to drive🏁🏁🏁

Ha ha yes. 😂. I really should wear my specs. I sat down after uploading and there was the Boots cream. Oh well, it was all about the razors at the end of the day. But boy, what a gaff 🤣🤣
The leaf is not fully safe to use as described at 12:30. It happened to me as well but i was lucky enough to spot it at the right time to avoid a nasty cut. since then I stopped using it because it is unacceptable in my book. The twig is the better choice in my opinion but yet i still find myself going back to the classic DE razors such as the lovely parker 78R.
I always ensure that the screw is tight nowadays. I'm awaiting delivery of the new Broman. But it's months behind schedule

I find the Twig much better for grip, probably because the handle has knurling; whereas the Leaf has none and is very slippery, in my experience. The sleeve that the company sells helps with the grip on the Leaf though.
The silver Leaf is much easier to grip I think. It isn't a smooth surface. But Leaf should improve the grip in future versions. Cheers Pete.

Which one is better for intimate and sensitive areas? I can't decide between the two, the leaf huge head worries me that it can't reach tight areas.
To get into tight nooks and crannies, definitely the Twig.
For large areas such as legs and head the Leaf reigns supreme. I hope this helps

The twig intrigues me.
I use a wilkonsword safety razor on my neck and have used it on my head.
But I get awful shaving rash.
What blades do you use?
Id like to master safety razor shaving eventually.
But not if Im always going to get rash.
Imagine a twig would give similar results to safety razor?
Hello buddy. A mild razor such as The Wilkinson Sword requires the sharpest of blades. A Feather or Nacet would be my choice. The problem with a mild razor is that it requires more strokes and work to achieve a bbs shave. That is where the shaving rash comes from.
The Twig would be much better yes. But I would opt for the Rockwell 6S or 6C if I was you.

I don't think that you'd really have a problem with the Rockwell 6S/6C
It's probably the smoothest razor out there. Plus you have the choice of six settings.

Leaf With the three blades it is very bad and I do not recommend it
