    Bought this for my pop on Father’s Day and we can’t wait to put this together. Awesome video assembly 👍🏽

    To pull that last pin for folding the crane up just pull the handle back while using your foot to push the base away from you. The 3” wheels are only there for rolling the assembly around while folded up. This is why they are not in contact with the ground when deployed. Reverse the process to deploy the crane.

    Thanks for the assembly video! I just built mine. Using your video and their instructions it was pretty simple. The support bars take a little cajoling but it worked out in the end!

      Glad it helped. I was actually surprised how easily it went. After you use it a bit I would be curious to hear your experience.

      @@lindseyacresfarm I bought it for my 2-car shop garage. I need to disassemble my PM30 milling machine to convert it to CNC. The parts are too heavy for me to handle on my own.
      Also moving around some standing tools like drill presses and a band saw

    I'm thinking of getting one so I can lift the front on my Exmark Radius Zero Turn Mower real high so I can more easily change the blades. Once lifted, does it hold the load or let the load drift back down?

    That lift table might help me more than the crane

    • @lindseyacresfarm
      @lindseyacresfarm  Před rokem

      In reality you are probably right. I am limited to the amount of things I can do with the crane, but a lift table would be used a lot more. Now you have me thinking.

    Sorry but for the casters esp the brake, the screws need to be opposite ie heads on top. In your video, the castor will not swivel because it hits the nut, I know because I tried it. Thanks great video

      To stabilize your load while you are moving it around the shop. Stops it from swaying around.

    Which crane would be best or adequate for lifting a Ford F150 bed off the truck? Would the 1 ton crane do the job safely or would I need the 2 ton crane?

    • @lindseyacresfarm
      @lindseyacresfarm  Před 4 měsíci

      I would think a hoist like this wouldn't be good, but one of those overhead things would be good. I would think a 1 ton would be fine. Beds aren't usually heavy just big and bulky.

    Hi there, great video! I have a question for you though. My wife picked this up for our sons x-mas gift & I was surprised she only got one box. I see you only opened one but in the beginning of the vid I saw another on the floor. Does this only come in one box? The old version came in 2? Also any reason you went for the HD engine stand instead of the Harbor one? Thanks!

    • @lindseyacresfarm
      @lindseyacresfarm  Před 8 měsíci +1

      Hey, Thanks for watching. There was only one box. The other box was for something else, but I don't remember what it was. I reviewed the video video at about 3:05 and that is all the parts, and they came from the single box. I hope that helps.

    What is the maximum lifting height of the hook when it is fully extended? How far away (horizontally) is the hook from the base at that point?

    • @lindseyacresfarm
      @lindseyacresfarm  Před 9 měsíci

      Hey sorry has thanksgiving and family the last few days. I got some measurements for you.
      92” from the floor to the bottom inside of the hook.
      Where the cylinder is connected to the arm to the hook is about 30”
      I hope that helps.

    Will this be able to handle a semi truck diesel engine?

    • @lindseyacresfarm
      @lindseyacresfarm  Před 4 měsíci

      I really doubt it. I am not sure it would have the reach or the weight capacity. Maybe if it was just the block and you were picking it up off the ground, but even then I do not know.

  • @josephkrug8579
    @josephkrug8579 Před rokem

    I had just put one of these together, and ran into the exact same 'why wont that pin come out of that leg....I had hoped u found a solution. Have you found a solution for that leg being under too much pressure to lift nicely since the video? I just went back out and used a 17 inch piece of 1x1 wood to lift up the main base section, then the pins came right out...so I added two zip ties to that (didnt have a long one) and will just hang the piece of wood from the push handle on mine to make it easier.

    • @lindseyacresfarm
      @lindseyacresfarm  Před rokem +1

      Unfortunately, I have not. Just something I have learned to deal with. Especially since I have used it so little. I have needed it for a couple of specific things, but the rest of the time it is int he corner. If I used it more I might try to figure it out.

    • @josephkrug8579
      @josephkrug8579 Před rokem

      @@lindseyacresfarmI just used mine today (reason i bought it), and the 18 inch 1x1 works great, just sit between the legs and get ready to pull the pin, use the 1x1 to crank upwards on the center area, and the pin comes right out.

    What’s the difference between this new “red” one verses the grey ones they have been selling for years?

    • @lindseyacresfarm
      @lindseyacresfarm  Před rokem +1

      TBH I am not sure, I never had one. However, I decided to watch a couple of assembly videos of others, and as best I can tell the top support is beefier. The chain is a little shorter, and bigger. I think the hydraulic cylinder is a bit bigger, but I couldn't confirm that.

    What size is the shipping box? I don’t know how tall you are, but I am guessing the box is 5’ or a little longer and about 2’ wide and maybe 10” tall. I am trying to decide if I can fit this in a small SUV with the seats folded down or if I need a truck of trailer.

    • @MrSmokingfrog1
      @MrSmokingfrog1 Před rokem +1

      Box is about 58" tall, 24" wide, and 8" deep. It is very heavy, I recommend plenty of help loading and offloading.

    • @LTVoyager
      @LTVoyager Před rokem +3

      @@MrSmokingfrog1 I bought one last week. The store helped me load it into my Equinox, but I unloaded it myself. I was asking for size as I wasn’t sure it would fit in my Equinox, but it did with a few inches to spare. I have a motorcycle table lift so I slid it out of the car into the lift and then lowered it to the floor. Wasn’t too bad. I then assembled it from the box on the lift which was fairly easy.

    Does it reach high enough to take the top off of a Jeep?

    • @lindseyacresfarm
      @lindseyacresfarm  Před 8 měsíci

      I run 33’s on my jeep and I don’t think it would fit. I think it can get high enough but the angle would be too great you couldn’t get over the middle of the roof very well.

    How far does it extend?

    • @lindseyacresfarm
      @lindseyacresfarm  Před 10 měsíci +2

      It extends 48” from the hydraulic cylinder. For the 1/2 ton setting.
