the author does like to from scratch, shaping and trimming wood from large blocks into fine finished products. czcams.com/users/postUgkxD-QRFQz730FJEh4f9BYSf-nkIMIC9hL_ as another reviewer mentioned, most projects require a lot of high-dollar equipment that most of us dont have the room or budget for. But, knowing how to do these things, even if we wont be able to practice the full stack project, is still great.
Would have been nice to see the light on at night time/in the dark to see how much it actually lights up the room
Very nice! I loved that you shared your failures and not just the finished product.
Thank you for the honesty on how many attempts needed to make it to the final build. Appreciate the realism in the world of DIY. Kudos.
I've been looking forward to this one so much Mike!! So happy for you that you were finally able to conquer it!! Thanks for not giving up on it!! I would love to see how much light output it gives of once it's dark out!
I've been listening to your updates on the podcast, glad to finally see the finished product!
After heating about this on the Modern Maker Podcast I am stoked to finally see the finished mirror. Thank you for sharing.
Looks really beautiful, I love it!!! Such a great design :)
Finishing project that failed so much times deserve huge respect. And like. And comment. Great job!
Is it may imagination or u left your plyers inside the frame of the mirror (4 minutes and 45 seconds) into the video
Daniel Martinez that was awesome! Thanks for catching that. Lmfao
hahaha he probably heard it
Daniel Martinez Es verdad, dejó las pinzas en el interior del marco
Lol yes he did
He did 😂😂😂
So happy to see the mirror finally work out. I've been following your story about this project for a while on the podcast and Instagram. Awesome job.
I really like that concept. I've been looking into ways of getting a lower light source in the bathroom for when my wife is putting on make up and this is something I hadn't considered. Thanks for the inspiration.
Awww shiii it's finally here. What a mission it was, but all worth it. Those 5000k LEDs are wicked
Love this & I love Ryobi. It's all I own.
It was worth the wait as it looks amazing. It has inspired me to do our bathroom. Great video
Dude that looks so good! I've been waiting to see this since you mentioned it on the podcast months ago. I'd love to adapt it for my bathroom reno, the build in LED is perfect
Amazing!!! Looks absolutely put together and elegant!! Loving it so much!
I appreciate your transparency and solid recommendation to let the professionals handle certain jobs.
Kinda ruins the point of a diy video tho don’t you think. People that diy find solutions for themselves and teach self sufficiency not dependency.
Yes once again you knocked it out the park...keep them coming I love it ☺
Did you ever consider using a French cleat to hang the mirro and attach L brackets on the bottom to hide the brackets? I think it would clean up the edges. Love this build...I'm going to attempt this build soon!
That looks great! Might have to attempt a similar project soon. Happy to see it's safe and in one piece this time!
Glad to see if finally came together 👍
Great video man! So proud you still kept going even after all the disappointments. It looks amazing
Thanks! Awesome project!
Now I know what our new bathroom mirror is going to look like 😀.
The internet is a awesome tool when you use for good stuff like this video. Thank you
Beautiful!!! What a good job, you are so talented. You impress me more in every video!
Great video !! The pomade ad was amazing ! Love how you always keep your video interesting ! Keep it up !
I honestly prefer this video on youtube mainly because you actually took the time to tunr a non-LED mirror into one whereas everyone else just bought it for $300-500 and installed it. Thank you so much for that. I'll definitely do the same thing in my house when i renovate my bathroom
Explained everything very well. I was able to follow step by step easily. There were no “wait, what hold on” moments.... thumbs up!!
I’m glad this worked out in the end, you looked so sad when the first attempt turned out hazy after all your hard work! Looks great
Omg, i want to make 2 of these! One for my vanity and one for the bathroom. Awesome job man! Can't wait to follow your directions!
Glad to see it finally done.
Absolutely love these projects, keep up the good work!!
I absolutely love this!!! I have been looking for this exact look. PERFECT
Looks great, so glad to finally see it done and I bet you are too. But...did you lose a pair of pliers to the inside of the mirror at about 4:55 ? Right as you guys set the mirror down I swear I saw some inside the center section.
I thought the same. But he used screws on the back right? hahah he probably managed to get them back
yup, he left a plier inside..RIP plier
LOL he totally left those inside the mirror hahaha
RIP Pliers :)
Ha!
Hey man, thank you for the inspiratsion! I built a similar one, only smaller, and with waterproof led strip, which I attached on an aluminium profile, in order to cool down the led strip more quickly. I learned that leds could be made waterproof, when you just spray them with lacquer.
Also used french cleat to hang it on the wall.
Anyway cool stuff!
Come through with the background jazz tho 🙌🏾 Lolol great videos!
10% inspiration, 90% perspiration. Great film! : )
Finally. And it looks awesome. Well worth
Glad to finally see it after hearing about it in the podcast. Great job!
Really respect the way you aren't afraid to admit that you made mistakes and that it took you 5 times to do it.
We appreciate this post. My sis and I are inspired. You rock 👊
Looks awesome Mike! It was well worth the wait
Thumbs up just for the amount of effort you put in to this. Glad you got it done.
Thanks a lot Dan!
Looks nice man, im glad you say in your vids what went wrong with your projects, I often mess up right in the middle of some of my builds and feel like im the only one that it happens too. But on the bright side you certainly learn a ton from that!
Mike, thanks for the video. This is exactly what I am looking for a new powder room remodel.
I wish you covered the electrical part more. How did you hide the wire from the led adapter to run to the outlet??
The most bomb diy mirror ever! Thanks for the tips! 😁
Psyched that you finally got it worked out and uploaded! I've been listening to the podcasts and keeping up on the gram and I feel for you haha
Thanks dude!! It feels good to finally have it finished!
This mirror is so nice 😍 great job!!
This is great. Thanks for working through the hard parts.
When you plug in the lights, and they don't come RIGHT on, I can see your will to live vanish. For half a second...then they come on and all is right in the world! Great project, glad to see it finally!
Wow!!! This is so cooolll !! Great job i love it! 💜💜👌👌
Turned out really great! Nice job.
Can’t wait for you to hit 1,000,000 subs!! Your videos are the best.
The honesty and you!!! Keep doing it!!
Haha! Will do
Realmente quedo muy bien!!
Really looks amazing!
Pretty good, great job love the way it came out 🤩
😂😂😂😂😂 the commercial made my day "Billy Mays" 😂😂😂👍
I kept hearing about it in the podcast, now we finally get to see it!!!
It came out so great, I love it!!!
3:50 moment of truth... whoooooo! ... I find myelf doing this expression more times that I'd like to admit lol. It was really bright, I think even your walls got a little brighter!
It looks really good
Looks great, i!ve followed your strife in producing this and it was well worth the wait.
Has the bathroom humidity affected any of the wooden shelves/accent wall panels? I just bought some boards to do similar shelving but fear that all the steam&moisture will make them deform :/
lydz121 get a mini dehumidifier for a couple bucks and run it while you shower!
You rock man! Way to not give up and SHOW THAT MIRROR WHOS BOSS! It came out B-E-A-UTIFUL! ;0)
thats really cool. I think this is a great project. I love the spray can mirror. I know it didn't work that well on the full mirror but on something smaller it might work great.
Looks awesome Mike!
Dude, that's awesome. Normally I might not have watched this video... However after hearing your struggle on the podcast....I just couldn't wait. Very nice 👍🏻
Love it! You are my building hero.
Been waiting for this ❤️
Awesome project!! I will think about building one myself. Love the wood.
Haha loved the late night tv ad there :D
Looks great!
I loved the little ad break lmao. I find it quite charming how you gesture a lot while talking, but seeing you gesture in the mirror and seeing little hands coming out of the corner of the screen made me giggle the entire time you were talking.
It's cool seeing what you make but you're also funny so it makes it interesting. :)
About time!! LMAO. So glad to see the finished product! Came out fantastic!
Great informative video with humor....Yay!!!!
Wow very cool, i love it!
ANOTHER ONE great job mike
This is awesome!!! 🤗
that was a GREAT project... thanks!! and congratulations!
Mike, your channel is blowing up! I remember watching your vids back at 50k subs
This was super cool cant wait to do one of these! Great job bro 👍
You're so talented!!
The mirror looks awesome! As well as the rest of the bathroom renovation! I was curious what kind of lighting fixture you did in the ceiling? I didn't see the fixture in the after shots of the renovation.
Absolutely love it! Now there's only one thing to do. REPLACE THE DOORKNOB!
Very nice , nice design
Nice.looking forward to see more.
you're not only talented, you're a smart boy!
Why is this more or actually satisfying than those satisfying compilations.
That DC795 medium modulus silicone caulking that you used is about as good as you can get as long as you give it enough setup time. Only downside to how you glazed the mirror is that the inside is now sealed off completely which won't let air circulate behind that centre section like it will need in that bathroom environment. That said, I'm still unsure how you'd get around that with this project. I've thought about a project like this before and you may have inspired me to try! Thanks for posting and keep up the good work! Also, as a glazier, thanks for putting in a plug for your local glass shop ;). We are some really cool people with awesome ideas for your home!
Thanks Josh, that's good to know! I thought the same thing, but If I ever do have to get to components I can unscrew the back panel... doesn't really help with air circulation though. I you do make make one , I'd love to see what you come up with!
Smart mirror process
Wow it is amazing
So cool !!!
Eh Friend. You are really crazy!!! I love your proyects. Please keep going and sharing your works. Salutations.
This is amazing!!
the part where you have the LED on the glass, what specification did you give to the glass shop? those lighting part will be sandblasted?
Glad to finally see it on the wall. I hate that this one gave you so much trouble!
gorgeous !
I LOVE IT!
