the author does like to from scratch, shaping and trimming wood from large blocks into fine finished products. czcams.com/users/postUgkxD-QRFQz730FJEh4f9BYSf-nkIMIC9hL_ as another reviewer mentioned, most projects require a lot of high-dollar equipment that most of us dont have the room or budget for. But, knowing how to do these things, even if we wont be able to practice the full stack project, is still great.

Hey man, thank you for the inspiratsion! I built a similar one, only smaller, and with waterproof led strip, which I attached on an aluminium profile, in order to cool down the led strip more quickly. I learned that leds could be made waterproof, when you just spray them with lacquer.
Also used french cleat to hang it on the wall.
    Anyway cool stuff!

That DC795 medium modulus silicone caulking that you used is about as good as you can get as long as you give it enough setup time. Only downside to how you glazed the mirror is that the inside is now sealed off completely which won't let air circulate behind that centre section like it will need in that bathroom environment. That said, I'm still unsure how you'd get around that with this project. I've thought about a project like this before and you may have inspired me to try! Thanks for posting and keep up the good work! Also, as a glazier, thanks for putting in a plug for your local glass shop ;). We are some really cool people with awesome ideas for your home!

Thanks Josh, that's good to know! I thought the same thing, but If I ever do have to get to components I can unscrew the back panel... doesn't really help with air circulation though. I you do make make one , I'd love to see what you come up with!
