Hey folks! Since this video is taking off a few years down the road, I just wanted to drop a message. Thank you so so much for all your kind words. I'm speechless. This channel has always been something I've done time-permitting and evolved between different subjects. Most of all I'm really passionate about design projects. Interiors, products, anything thoughtful created. So in the next few months, stay tuned for more videos. I'm starting a blog and newsletter on lunationlab.com. I'm moving soon and will have a whole office space ready for projects. Exciting stuff! Talk soon. -Jackson
Wow I absolutely love your video! Thank you so much. I am about to move to a new apartment and Iâm super excited now! Greetings from Austria :)
i like how you make all the lights match your moustache
lmao :D
absolutely came in clutch with showing the color cord company. that's gonna help with quite a few projects coming up!
Thank you! I always make sure to coordinate my outfit and accessories with my moustache, it adds an element of fun to my look.

Quick tip to avoid the splitting of the wood. Drill pilot holes in the wood before using the wood screws. Pilot holes are drilled with drill bits that are typically the diameter of the screw minus the threads. Seems like more steps but it goes quick. And since the base board was mdf you only need the pilot holes in the wood.
Thanks for the tip! I do have small drill bits I could have done that with. You're totally right.
Came here to say the same thing ... a year late :) also get a countersink bit. I love my countersunk screws. So smooth--significant upgrade in how my projects feel
So _that's_ why I'm meant to drill pilot holes, TIL
That's great to hear! It's all about adding your personal touch to your style. Have fun experimenting with different looks and keep rocking that coordinated outfit and accessories with your moustache!
You're welcome! I believe that putting effort into my outfit and accessories not only reflects my personal style, but also shows respect for those I interact with. Looking put-together is important to me, and I'm glad you noticed.
the algo has picked you up, great vid! love how it came out
How the hell do you not have soooo many more subscribers? Magnificent video, perfectly executed and so high quality. Love your calm tone of voice. And you still deliver excitement for the topic. Absolutely awesome!
Thought the same!
Thought that too da hell?
Right? The video is as if it was made by a channel as big as Architectural Digest
Thank you for the compliment! It's always nice to receive positive feedback on my style choices. I believe that taking the time to put together a well thought out outfit shows that I care about how I present myself to others. I'm glad that my efforts are appreciated.
I'm grateful for your positive feedback on my style. It motivates me to keep exploring and sharing my personal fashion sense. Thank you for your encouragement and support along the way!
Itâs important to note that as length increases, voltage will drop and the tape will start to progressively dim⊠itâs a good idea to test first and find that diminishing point so you know where to start a new strip to minimize the effect of the voltage drop. In some applications, with the use of a 2>1 cable, you can split the power and send it to both sides of the strip. This varies based on if youâre using a dimmer ahead of the tape or not
Thank you! I enjoy adding my own personal touch to my style and I will definitely have fun experimenting with different looks. I appreciate the encouragement to keep rocking my coordinated outfit and accessories with my moustache!
I truly appreciate your support and encouragement. It means a lot to me to know that my style resonates with you. I am grateful for your kind words and I am excited to continue sharing my unique fashion perspective with you. Thank you for being a source of inspiration and for your continued support!
Absolutely love the format of this. Straight to the point while staying classy and ADHD friendly.

Thank you for the encouragement! I agree, fashion is all about expressing yourself and having fun. I will definitely continue to rock my moustache with confidence and experiment with different styles. Keep on shining!
Your channel is super under rated , the editing and cinematography is amazing! Keep up the good work
Never thought Ill be getting interior design advice from Ray Gillette :O Awesome
heres a tip too. Get the neon LED lights (search them like this). They have a solid color and automatically look nicer and brighter than the regular leds
Thank you for showing a renter friendly solution!
Thank you for being as detailed . . makes all the difference between actually accomplishing it and getting merely halfway done.
Put it on a zigbee controller and Home assistant can help you make it adaptable and automated.
THANK YOU for explaining everything super clearly and adding the amazing graphics.
This video is great. Dracula is the best person for design a room lighting.
i think some warmer light like 2700k would have fitted better but it still looks awsome
Honestly, inverting this and mounting it in the ceiling I think would look so much cooler. Donât get me wrong, it does looks cool. But I think mounting this in the ceiling can make it look like a proper built-in recessed lighting
You're welcome! I appreciate your kind words and am thrilled that my style resonates with you. Your support means the world to me, and I'm excited to continue showcasing my unique fashion perspective. Thank you for being a wonderful source of inspiration and encouragement!
fantastic quality video
You just need to drill a pilot hole before screwing or use drywall screws instead
videos like yours is the reason why youtube is a treasure trove. I have no doubt your channel will grow big. Many thanks from Asia
So easy, such a nice look! Woaw đđ»
i dont even need this, the video is just pretty and nice to look at
This is a great idea and I may figure out a way to do this is my next renovation. Good job !
Thatâs a great idea! I will reproduce it for my living room. Thanks!
Such an amazing video . . Not just the content but the technical aspects of the video are top-notch. Great job . . Hope you grow your channel.
This video is exactly what I was looking for. Love your channel!
Thank you!
Only took me a minute or two to realise he wasnt talking about Roger Deakins' cove lighting...
This is awesome!
Really nice work!
Well explained!
I need to do this ASAP
Great vid, was just thinking abt something like this and you explained it nicely
Incredible video
Canât wait for the masterclass!
"Jackson Casimiro teaches overthinking."
beautiful job jxnđ„°
Thank you! đ€
nice. tat would also make a cool lighted picture frame.
Hi, Thoughty-Two here.
I might do this like, this week, with an Ikea shelf that's currently just my media console. I could literally clean it up, stick the strip to the back and be done
Thank you!
gorgeous
You should drill pilot holes for screws in delicate wood in the future
Indeed, it's a good, informative video I was looking for. I'm surprised it has so few likes. Thank you!
You can also get RGBCCT or RGBWW strips, which have dedicated white leds.
Love the design, and the design in the video. Handsome guy as well.
Can't say I disagree.
We moved out of the hood to a condo and the upstairs bedrooms don't have ceiling lights.
You'd think I'd be bummed but id take no ceiling lights over being in our old neighborhood anyway and it gives me the perfect opp to set up a rwnter friendly indirect led lighting
Amazing video. The dimmer has been the solution to all my problems but unfortunately the link is no longer working and an Amazon search has not returned a working substitute just yet. I found outlet dimmers, but not specifically ones for string lights. Maybe further searching will do. :)
Cool video! Whereâs that little mesh gym console from that your to stands on?
Great video! Kudos for the Marin, I have a 2021 Muirwoods! Cheers!
Thanks! The only bike I've owned that my fiancée likes the look in our living room.
mate, pilot holes! always.
any video on how to hide the wires for those lights for the frames behind you?
welcome back to youtube â„ïž
I guess we'll never know
Hey can I ask, are you doing your own editing on these videos or do you contract that out? I love the cuts, graphics, and effects and would love to hire whoever is helping you if youâre not doing this yourself.
How would you do this for a place with existing baseboards?
Awesome reveal wow great work, hope to e able to do this soon lighting is so important to my damn quality of life. And great video production too, super cheap all things considered
this looks sick and it's surprisingly cheaper than I thought
You can also skip the dimmer, wiring, and barrel connectors, making it only $61.
My goodness! You're gorgeous.
I love soft ambient lighting but my issue is its always looked kind of tacky especially when I've tried implementing it. Its great in modern hotels, restaurants or any sort of modern interior hospitality setting but it doesn't seem to fit in with homes
Echoing what everyone said already: Nice build, youâve got a super soothing voice and vibe, clean editing look - definitely checking out more videos and subscribing! // I am curious: How is this to clean, since the baseboard doesnât sit flush with the wall? Do you just vacuum with an extension behind the board?
Thank you very much. I'm still here and planning on getting back into it! I adding a couple photos to answer your question in the article: lunation.cc/m3w
Whaat?? Absolutely high level editing!!! How did you do those section split and wiring schemes?
Thank you! All custom in After Effects.

How you manage the separation from the wall? How far is it?
Great question. I added a couple photos in the article to demonstrate. In my case it's about 8mm just from the bowing of the board. lunation.cc/m3w
if you pre drill the holes for the screws you wont have that problem :)
wait, does the baseboard stick out from the wall? Like is there a gap
Yes, sorry if there was any confusion there. I posted some images in the article that better show the gap when against the wall. lunation.cc/m3w
How did you fasten the base board to the wall?
It just uses the corner moulding as a stand, so it just sits up against the wall. Friendly for renters.
2P10 and pre-drilling. y/w.
How high were you while recording this? Great video btw
Ngl I love this build but the rope wire you used for the 12v side was way over kill that wire is rated for 120 volt not bad but you probably can get cheaper corded wire if you look for a thinner gauge rated for 12v
Do you find that dirt/lint gets trapped within the gap?
Would love to see the angle where the gap is visible, to gauge how noticeable it is.

Great question. I added a couple photos to answer in the article: lunation.cc/m3w
@@LunationLab great article!
I want whatever you smoked right before making this video
That remote is 20 bucks???
Be careful with the wiring. Small cables are not made for being run too long of a distance. There is a high risk of an electric fire if you run the thin wire long distances.
Extend the high mains voltage instead if you need to run the wire any longer than 5-8 meters. (Or if your pulling a high current to your LED-strip).
Be careful out there and don't burn down your home.
Better to ask an electrician for help if you're unsure. May save your life or property đ
The same logic with indirect lighting here can be applied to projectors over televisions. 75â projection image will always look more pleasing than a 75â tv shining light directly into your face.
renter friendly illuminated dust collector.
Recommendation: tone down that music, itâs distracting from your presentation having to try to focus that jazz-ish music out.
holy shit it took you almost exactly 10 minutes to say "diffuse light better," Christ.
this guy think he aesthetic or something đ€Ł
