About cockpits: the new Playseat Trophy is surprisingly good and really sturdy, plus it is designed for DDs. The only drawback is adjustability, and you have to consider its length (150 cm). I am using it with a Fanatec dd pro + V3 and it is a perfect match

What are you adjusting on the wheel? You said you added rotation.
I’m adjusting the degree of rotation. (SEN on the wheel base) Each car is a little different. I like adjusting it manually. “Auto” makes me have to turn the wheel a little too much with the F1 style rim.
