    Cabinet knobs! They are beautiful. Marble--wow! I am in awe of your English language abilities, Sofia, because I certainly cannot speak or understand Portuguese, and I have only rudimentary knowledge of Spanish and French. I loved this tour! Thank you! 💚💚 That couch looks pretty comfy too! Looking forward to all you will be cooking up in your new kitchen! Stay cool!

      Oh..like door knobs 😊 it might be fake marble! It's easier to learn English because we're so exposed to it in movies and music! And if you speak Spanish in a Slavic accent, it might sound like Portuguese 🤣 I'm convinced I can speak French but then my mother (who's a French teacher) always laughs to tears when I do! She finds it very funny 🤣 thank you so much for watching 💚

    Looking very swish! :) those cabinet handles are very nice.. I think they are handles, not sure what words even are anymore. #extensionalcrisis
    I am so glad you'll have air con in there :D you wont melt into a swampy puddle!
    LOL at those last 7seconds of the video!

      What even are words though! It's between handles and knobs at this point! I'll just forget and call them door thingy 😛
      I have been melting and, against all odds, I have that northern Europe heat tolerance! I'm with the Brits on this one, complain at will 😂
      5% of my footage is me being distracted and making ridiculous faces, might as well use some of it!!

    I do love you new endings - or are they beginnings? The studio looks awesome and I love the island, perfect for filming . The sound is dead enough and having running water a real must. You have thought of everything. Thanks so much for sharing Sofia .

    • @BeetTheRush
      @BeetTheRush  Před 2 lety +1

      Now that I think about it, they're sort of beginnings! May I ask what do you mean by dead sound? Never heard of it! We did put a lot of thought on the details:)

    • @CookingAroundTheWorld
      @CookingAroundTheWorld Před 2 lety +1

      @@BeetTheRush Okay dead sound means without echo. An empty room will echo. Furniture, curtains and acoustic tiles can all help to remove the echo to make the sound dead. I have a lot of furniture, books etc in the main room that i record in. I often take down curtains completely to "liven" up the sound a little because it can sound too dead. Yours is mostly dead , but with enough echo to bring your voice alive.

      @@CookingAroundTheWorld thank you for your explanation, I had no idea. I was planning to add more rugs to help with the sound, I heard that helps, but I want to make them myself, and that might take a while!

    Wow, it's a full-on studio with computer, lights and even the pre-packaged Internet! The couch looks lovely, by the way, and so does the kitchen.
    Sorry to hear about the dying plants. I only ever managed to keep cacti alive, though, so I get it :)
    P. S. Is there a reason you want to upgrade your camera too? Because just buying an ultra wide angle like Canon EF-M 11-22 lens would be far cheaper than investing in a new camera on top of it.

    • @BeetTheRush
      @BeetTheRush  Před 2 lety

      The pre-packaged internet is such a luxury 😂 thank you, I'm very happy with how it turned out! I've killed every cacti I've ever owned! I'm dangerous!
      I used to film with two cameras and then I got the same shot from two angles, but then my father needed his camera back and I find it harder to constantly change the tripod. My brain works in a very bizarre way where I believe spending 1000 euros on a camera and lens is acceptable, but spending 400 on a lens will literally lead me to personal economic ruin. My relationship with money is very weird 😂 but you are absolutely right, I will look into that lens! I would also like a 50mm for food photography, would you recommend that?

    • @yawningmarmot
      @yawningmarmot Před 2 lety +1

      @@BeetTheRush Oh, I see!
      Having two cameras for multiple angles is definitely convenient, especially when you're cooking something. As for the lens, I think Sigma 56mm f/1.4 would be a good choice for food photography. It's a bit expensive (around 400 USD), but the quality of the glass in the Sigma Art line is great and is regarded highly among the pixel-peepers :)
      A cheaper alternative would be the Canon EF 50mm STM 1.8 lens but that would require you to get a Canon EOS to EF-M adapter, and the end price wouldn't be much cheaper unless bought used. Also, Canon has recetnly decided to move away from the EOS M cameras and lenses in favour of its new EOS RF system, so the prices should come down in the near future. Hope this helps :)

    • @BeetTheRush
      @BeetTheRush  Před 2 lety

      It helps so much, you have remarkable camera knowledge! I've tried to learn about it but my dumb adhd brain can't focus long enough. I used to watch a channel called The Bite Shot and Joanie explained it so clearly. I was like, yup seems pretty simple... Two minutes later I forgot all about it 🤣 I'll have to come check these comments when I look for lenses online!!

    • @yawningmarmot
      @yawningmarmot Před 2 lety

      @@BeetTheRush Thanks! I guess it's easier to learn about stuff when it's a hobby rather than when you force yourself to learn. It's the same for me with other things like physics - I watch a video, I think I got it, and then an hour later the knowledge is gone :D

    • @BeetTheRush
      @BeetTheRush  Před 2 lety

      @@yawningmarmot I'm convinced no one knows physics, they're just pretending 😂 photography was a hobby, but I change hobbies every two weeks 🤣
