Hello. Great review and thanks. I do want to ask. This compared to the Circooter raptor pro (dual motor). Which would you say takes the edge.
Ride, Speed, Comfort, features (tech/lighting) etc
Also for both, are either of them speed limited in the P settings?
And do you have any coupons still available for your recommend scooter?
I hope to hear from you soon.
Once again, thank you for your reviews
What’s a better scooter a Varla Pegasus or 800w Hiboy titan
I have the varla Pegasus also but the unfortunate thing is if you have solid tire version you cannot switch to 9-in tires varla says they're different motors. That really sucks why would you upgrade the Pegasus and not offer the same upgrade to the people that already own one makes no sense to me
This is my first scooter experience, glad I went with the 9" tires. Took the kick stand apart, rotated the rod 180, round-off the square corner and mounted it where the eagle one has it`s kick stand located.(suspension arm?) This is the most fun I`ve had in a long time. I also installed 5/16 all-thread(8"long) through the top of the rear spring, from there I installed a seat.
I don't know if you know it or not but you can put size 10" tires on it and the ride will surprise you...alot smoother
You did a great job describing the old and the new Pegasus scooter I just picked up the new Pegasus and I'm very excited thx
how long did it take to get yours by the way?
I like it. We have two of the Gotrax models and I’m looking to upgrade. Mostly - I’m looking for distance (30-40 miles) and a smooth ride.
Totally awesome!
how come you have manual mode on your lcd display?
How do I turn on cruis control
Thanks for another very good review.
Thank You!
Jeremiah Mcintosh I'm getting mine this week is it durable
I haven’t had any issues and Seems like it so far.
Jeremiah Mcintosh nice how long have you had yours I've been dreaming to get this scooter I was goin toget the segway at best buy for 1000 bu then I was doing more research and this scooter seems like a more complete scooter for that price
Didnyou buy the scooter or did they give it to you
I got a question for you. I've been noticing that I am getting some stem wobble in my Pegasus 9. How do I tighten up that stem?
Buyer Beware!!! I purchased this Varla Scooter based on this review from this channel. I was super excited to get the scooter for my son for Christmas 2022 and within 24 hours of putting together on Christmas Day…the pole clamp mechanism snapped completely in half…I contacted customer support and they said that it would take 2 weeks to get another part…I could understand that and wasn’t sweating that too much although my son was extremely disappointed about waiting 2 weeks (he just expected this scooter to work like all the rest he has received over the years). To add salt to the wound…I put the unit on the charger for two days and found that the battery would not accept a charge. I contacted customer support and they sent a video back to me showing me how to test the battery connector with some expensive looking electronics tester! I need to make a video of me testing this and send it back to them proving that there is an issue before I can get resolution to a brand new scooter with a few miles on it…and those miles only being on smooth pavement basically around the block a couple of times. Again this is a brand new scooter I got for my son for Christmas and the pole clamp is snapped in half and the battery doesn’t charge!!! Did I mention I paid $1200 for this…and the scooter it replaces was a $500 Segway that has lasted for 3 years and has had zero issues! This has me extremely worried that I have received such a poor experience on so many levels! I’m not a hard person to please and was seriously not expecting to have this many issues so near purchase. Extremely disappointed on this purchase and company’s customer support…again Buyer Beware!!! If I receive better service and they resolve the issue I’d be the first person to retract or update with a positive experience! SMH…please be extremely careful before making a decision to move forward with this scooter. I’ll let you know how this goes! - Disappointed and pissed in Phoenix, AZ 😡
Hey Vinny sorry to hear about the problems your having. Please keep us updated how it works out with them on these issues. Hopefully they step up and take care of you!
The charger needs to be plugged in before connecting to the scooter. The red locking tab needs to be lifted-up before pressing the clamp against the pole.
@@rjhirsh8781 the issue is the clamp completely snapped in half…there was NO inappropriate use…just drove around the block on asphalt…went up the drive way and it snapped completely in half…the battery is not charging for anything…they sent a video on how to measure the battery output but didn’t have any info on what the device is or how to use…the worst customer service I’ve ever had…nice enough people just NOT helpful considering I spent $1200 and it hasn’t worked past the first couple of miles…now I have to figure out a bunch of stuff just to get service…no instructions…just the craziest thing I’ve ever dealt with…Again buyer beware!
@@rjhirsh8781 actually it’s the other way around. The scooter needs to be connected before plugging the charger in.
@@grazz7865 I do it either way, works fine. What you and the other guy said is just a myth. 😅
Waiting on mine, updated pegasus, whts the required tire pressure on it.
On the tire it says 41 psi.
First. I would like to say. great video. I have the new one with the 9" wheels. I love it so far. I'm on the fence though. I want to upgrade to hydraulic brakes, but the mechanical setup is adequate. The kickstand is sooo difficult to kick down with my foot though. Is it just me? I'd say that this is my only gripe really. I use mine to get around town, and paved hike/bike trails here at the trinity park. I hear there is 118 miles of trails, so I have a lot of scooting to do there. lol....
Which one is more reliable? Varla Pegasus or Circcooter Raptor?
I wish they put these front swing arms on motorcycles
And while the tubeless tire one runs a bit more nicely, it's going to cause a headache when that tire eventually needs swapping. It isn't a split motor hub, so it will be a ton more difficult to change.
I went with the nanrobot lightning
@@grazz7865that was my first scooter ! Not waiting on my delivery for the rs5
They sell replacement tyres with the peice on it for like 50 bucks
You can patch it for cheap in a couple minutes easily when you know what to do, look up how to plug a tubeless tire, sealant takes care of small punctures automatically along with natural occuring leaks if you use it preemptively and larger punctures you just pull out the obstruction with plyers and use a tubeless tire patch kit on it, as simply as jamming a tool that comes with it into the hole to rip and file you own clean hole and jam in the plug coated in rubber cement that comes in the kit, pull the tool and cut the ends, the knob left naturally sinks into the tire as you ride and you dont feel a thing, these things are awesome as hell if you know how to fix them, unless its something catastrophic, then sure you'd need a replacement, but its such a rare occurrence its certainly worth the trade off for a smoother ride, better traction, and much safer cornering
Not sure if you are allowed to say but… for the price point, do you prefer this scooter or the raptor pro? Based off your videos i think im leaning towards raptor but..
I went with the nanrobot lightning. Right now they have great deals.
Don't switch motor modes while riding. It can eventually fry the motors, and their customer service isn't really the best.
Also, you should always ride in dual motor mode, because even though you're using one motor, both controllers are in use while you ride, so you're stressing the controllers as you're riding single.
Thank you for this pointer 👍🏽
Is it possible to stiffen and soften the suspension?
There is a little adjustment but not much
Pegasus '22 or Raptor Pro???
Also, are the Raptor Pro's tires solid or tubeless?
The tires on the Raptor pro are solid.
Man they’re both nice scooters I would just watch them both and decide for yourself. I do like that the raptor pro has re-GEN braking however the brakes themselves weren’t that great.
I'm glad I have this instead of an ebike.
What’s a better choice Varla Pegasus or Hiboy titan 800w
I just got a varla Pegasus had it for a month I love it ! It’s really low maintenance compared to the titan. The display is amazing so easy to read . Takes about 8 hours to charge if it’s supper low . If u have it like 1/4 filled it might take like 4.5 hours . I stay in Chicago so I picked the 9 inch tires no problem with them they still feel like new . The brakes could be a little better but not a big deal I adjust them every 2 weeks but all around a solid Scotter surprised of the built it’s strong with stand all the bumps I put it thru AND THEY JUST DROPPED THE PRICE TO $899
Man! Can't decide between this for $840 or a vsett 9+ for 1075. Any tips haha
🤔 Hmm not sure because I’ve never tested the vsett 9+?
I got a Pegasus late last month, how can I tell which one I have?
My video shows you all the differences between the two that should help you differentiate which one you have.
@@JeremiahMcintosh your video explains it all, thx
So which one do you have? Now I’m curious lol.

no black friday live session?
Sorry. I did consider it but did couldn’t find the time. I do plan on some in the near future.
@@JeremiahMcintosh looking forward to it Sir!
I can’t imagine going over 20mph on one of these without wiping out. Even on my Lectric ebike approach speeds past 20mph going down a hillseemed to fast for my comfort. I didn’t realize these scooters are as heavy as the Lectric ebike. I guess these are just for fun. Can’t see these doing errands. How do lock one up. Too heavy to fold and the carry around a grocery store.
Put the scooter in picnic basket Yogi.
Yea they aren’t able to be carried very easily and are heavy but what’s nice about them is they take up a smaller footprint if you’re limited on space for transporting. For example we took three scooters to Washington DC and rode around exploring the town and they were awesome for that.
I would put them on a shopping cart when I go n it's a big help I live in Cali and it's awesome
20 mph is chicken feed on that scooter.
The Pegasus comes with a chain lock when you buy the scooter.
There are also brake pad locks you can purchase to lock it that way, in tandem with the chain lock. You can get them online pretty much everywhere. A kryptonite U-lock would be more beneficial than any of those options.
so you can't find a road longer than a parking lot to do a top speed test?
Get what your saying but speed also depends on weight and the rider so if he was lighter he could of reached a high speed faster
@@Kailum-gj5kh I'm just complaining about him not having the sense to go on a road to do a top speed test. i've seen another video (Lectric XP) where he used the same dopey parking lot and ran out of room to get the top speed...i mean, c'mon.
@@markma7534 yeah
Which is your favorite scooter for the price?
Where is the link for coupon?
You have to open up the video description with the arrow next to the video title and the link will be there right above the coupon codes.
@@JeremiahMcintosh I’m sorry. I do not see it
It will say purchase a Varla Scooter from their official website here and the link will be directly after that. Or can you not even open up the description of the video? You may have to select more after you open it
@@JeremiahMcintosh I opened the description. And there was no link. Just a link for your instagram
you have to scroll down it’s under that you may have to select "more” to see the full description
Thanks for the review. Idk if it just looks like it on video, but it looks like you are using the handlebars to steer - that's really not the safest way to ride a scooter. Use your body weight and lean into the side of the deck that you want to turn. There's no need to directly turn the handlebars. Maybe you're already doing that but you looked super unstable.
Also it seems as if my steering dampener has either broken or maybe the fact that I'm getting wobble is just showing me that everything is loose. IDK. But I feel like my steering dampener is non-existent anymore.
Doesn't matter if the tubeless feels better, the solids means no flats! Too bad all the solids are all sold out.
Damn 29mph ? My joyor s5 single motor does 31mph for half that price lol
looks like a piece of crap. No ones ever heard of joyor. Varla on the other hand is pretty reputable
@@TheBrandonn don't knock it till u try it buddy
@@TheBrandonn and it's very well known soild built no steam wobble no creeking like half these top brands that do u Lil punk
The stem latch blows. They need to redesign that as it will come off. Great scooter though
Never came undone for me... so don't assume.
Too fast for a scooter, as usual everyone gets carried away. You come off of that at even 15 MPH and going to get f$&@ed up .
Wait till you find out how fast sports bikes go
@@nabhanq sports bikes are much more stable and balanced and benefit from the gyroscopic action of large wheels. Standing on a relatively narrow wobbly scooter with small wheels is another story altogether. Also you’re a smarta$$.😒
30mph is a cakewalk. Try driving a Wolf King GT @63mph
If 15mph is enough for you then so be it. Most people get bored (me included) and almost immediately crave more speed, better suspension, more flashyness. There are a lot of choices out there so use what works for you.
Get a bike, scoots aren't for you..
And when I mentioned stem wobble. I mean back and forth. Not when I'm driving the scooter. But I'm also starting to notice it when I hit bumps it's wobbling instead of staying tight at the neck.
