Hello 🤗 I made this video as a new channel introduction, as we have been through some changes lately and we have gained so many new members of the Floof Crew ✨🐾
Thank you all for showing your support for this crazy idea, to create a CZcams channel that will fund the rehoming of as many rescue ferrets as we can. Every single view, like and comment makes a huge difference in telling the algorithm to share our posts with a larger audience. With your help, who knows where this could end up? My ultimate dream would be to move out into the countryside and build a complex of ferret forever homes, each with their own channel. We could hold sports days and build a special activity yard where they will be secure when enjoying the many enrichment challenges I could set them!
That's all dreams for now though. Goal #1: grow big enough to be able to fill my shed to the brim with rescue ferrets! 🥰🐾
I love what your doing for these animals, not only are you giving them homes , but taking great care of them , a lot of ferrets love in small cages with not enough play time and attention. Not allot of ferret owners go to do the research to properly care for and give these little friends everything they need . They are more often them not seen as a decorative pet, much like the way people treat low maintenance fish or birds which also are mistreated in homes. It’s very refreshing to see these little guys have so much space and time and love. You truly are an amazing human being and people like you restore my faith in humanity

You're 100% correct about too few people researching these pets well enough before committing them. As a former ferret mom to 2, this is sooooo lovely to see! They are just so rewarding and fun and there’s never a dull moment. I wish they weren’t bread so prolifically (at least they are in the U.S.) and that kore people understood what a total commitment they are for many years. ❤❤❤❤❤

How lovely. You have such a nice voice and I love what you do. I used to have 2 rescue ferrets in a 6x6x6ft enclosure I made them with aviary panels. I fill it with tubes, a box of balls for them to play in, old clothes to hide in, large driftwood bits to climb, I had a light in there too so I could sit on a chair in there with them. I took them for walks around the garden (100ft garden) which they loved. I clipped their claws easily by putting salmon oil on their tummies, they would lick for ages, long after the was gone lol. I loved them. They were called Ben & Jerry, I didn't name them, that's what they were called when I adopted them. Ben was evil lol, Jerry was like a super friendly kitten. I miss them.

I have not been doing any mingling as life is too emotionally charged for me right now with my mum's illness.. but I do feel like they are getting better with each other through the cage wire 🥰🐾

Do you know how much 1 ferret costs? I’m getting 2, tell me in pounds!
The cost to buy will vary depending if you get them from a breeder, a farm, or a rescue centre... or a pet shop in some countries. The cost to keep will also vary widely depending on whether you have any health issues. Ferrets are prone to health problems sadly, due to their selective breeding, so there is a good chance you will have at least some vet bills to deal with. Feeding them is not that expensive, but again will depend on what you feed them, kibble or raw meat? You'll need a quite expensive cage for them to sleep in (circa £400 for a good one) and you'll have to spend some money securing their play areas in your home if you don't want to lose them into the dry wall f your house! In general, I would say ferrets are not the cheapest pets to keep, but if you feed them right and avoid most of the common health issues, it's not too bad.
