"That dog is seriously black!"
You had no idea how funny that was at the time you said it.
I laughed out loud myself when he said that.
lol
That made my day LOL 🤣😂😄
With out spoiling anything, this guy has a great way of accidentally stumbling on to major plot points.
Same here, that was great mate...
If Hedwig was an animagus, she’d be a distinguished lady. She is, in fact, a female owl. Not really important to the plot, but still nice to know lol 🦉
Hermoine using the time turner to take extra classes is not cheating. Basically, she's having to work twice as hard as everyone else in the school, and at least in the books, she's totally exhausted by the extra workload.
Right? How would someone come to the conclusion that having double the workload of everone else is cheating? And yes, Hermione is breaking rules when she does stuff with Ron and Harry but she would never ever cheat at school.
Mcgonagall didn't allow Harry to go to Hogsmeade for the same reason Fudge refused to sign. The whole "I'm not your legal guardian or parent" thing was just an excuse to keep him safe behind castle walls because of Sirius Black. This was explained in the book from the beginning. Did they not show it in the movies? I can't remember. Was a pretty important plot point though, because it fuels Harry's fears when he kept seeing what he thought were signs of his impending death. Also, it's meant to set up the whole plot twist, although the plot twist becomes expected when you realise that JKR does this in virtually every book.
Harry has to stay with the Dursleys. He has to stay with his blood relative (petunia) because of the protection charm cast on him and the reas o n McGonagall doesn't allow him to go the village is because she was trying to protect him from Sirius
Question: Is it a book or is it something trying to kill you?
Answer: Yes
J. K. Rowling didn't invent the hippogriff. It's a well-known creature in Greek mythology. Other such mythical creatures she used are the centaur, phoenix, unicorn, basilisk, troll, giant, werewolf and goblin (all of which you've seen already) along with Veela, banshee, leprechaun, Yeti and vampire among others. Creatures she invented herself include Dementors, Acromantula and Thestrals.
I highly doubt that she invented Acromantula, because it's a common concept for a fantasy universe to include giant sentient spiders. It was this way long before, and long after Rowling
Tolkien had Shelob in Hobbit and Lord of the Rings, so did Warcraft with Nerubian race, Dragon Age..The Elder Scrolls also used a gint spider trope.
@@couch.patati-patata Spiders from Lord of the Rings/Hobbit could talk and had personalities. Nerubians from Warcraft also had their own monarchy, their lords and a king, their architecture and knowledge
@@almas4663 Acromantula, isn't that just a specific kind of spider?
@@flugsven You mistook it with a Tarantula
@@almas4663 ^^ ; I meant she invented a specific kind of spider. Shelob is a different kind, although both likes reasonably fresh meat..
I’m sooo confused…when McGonagall is strict with the rules, even when Harry literally saves the school from evil every single year, she’s shitty? But when Dumbledore gives him points for risking his life against the evil that slaughtered his parents, he’s corrupt?! Make it make sense!! 😂
that's what I thought. Same with Snape. But I guess at this point it is just sarcasm/irony because he is Slytherin and wants to like Slytherin. Btw. there is nothing wrong with being in Slytherin and Rowling's depiction of it is kind of over the top and a bit stupid with everyone being bad, but Draco and Snape are doing and saying a lot of fucked up shit. Neville's worst fear being Snape is reason enough to not like Snape in my opinion.
8:46
“All right, Harry, time to do some wandering” I LOL’ed
Ooh you can step to Dumbledore, tied for my fav human character in the books
You can even move on Hagrid (tied with Dumbledore), so long as you at least feel bad for Buckbeak for a second
But you come for Maggie Smith, the Queen herself, BIG lady McG.. you've come for blood
And you shall have it
..xp
🤣🤣🤣 I can't promise she won't cross my scope again in the future
The last actor who played Dumbledore from movies 1 and 2 passed away that's why it is a differnet actor
Chocolate is actually the magical remedy for the effects of exposure to dementors, which is why Lupin keeps handing it out.
*spoiler*
7:40
"that dog we saw before was seriously black"
... yes... yes he was
Just to answer some of your questions:
- Not all magic is forbidden, only the underage - but if a child wizard is among adult wizards, it's hard for the ministry to tell who did the magic, so it's mostly discriminating on muggle-borns underage wizards
- The whomping willow was made to quard the secret tunnel to the shriecking shack, so that Lupin can go there while he was transformed to a werewolf
- Timeturner in this movie doesn't affect the future = everything has already happened
- If a Patronus Charm is conjured in it's true form, it's an animal - if it's weak, it's just a white light
Something that was not included in the movie and is quite interesting:
- The fidelious curse = it's how the address of the Potters was keps a secret by Peter, the secret keeper.
- The makers of the marauder's map was Moony = Lupin, Wormtail = Peter Pettigrew, Padfoot = Sirius Black, Prongs = James Potter
- James Potter was an animagus and turned into a stag, just like Harry's patronus = that's why Harry thought he saw his father
The Fidelius is a charm, not a curse
"Dumbledore is corrupt and gives special treatment and that's wrong"
5 minutes later
"Harry deserves to get special treatment to go to Hogsmeade"
Harry got dumped in an abusive home by McGonnagal... I think getting a parental consent form from thr Dursleys is obviously not gonna happen. 🤔
@@AdamfromFWCI all I'm saying is be consistent, don't complain about Harry getting special treatment for 1 thing and then complain when he doesn't. Lol
@@AdamfromFWCI i know i am months to late to the party ,but just for the records, it was dumbledore who dumped him there and Mcgonnagal was actually against it, it was in the first 5 minutes of the first movie xD
So a couple of things 1. Sirius is extremely rich he’s the heir to a very old wizard of family and if pettigrew had been caught and turned in it would have cleared him and Harry could live with him.
2. The creators of the mauraders map are Moony who is Remus Lupin b/c he’s a werewolf, wormtail who is Peter Pettigrew b/c he can turn into a rat, padfoot who is Sirius b/c he can turn into a dog and prongs who is James Potter who could turn into a stag. James’s ability to turn into a stag is why Harry’s patronus is a stag. The three friends became animagus so they could keep Lupin company during the full moon because they were all best friends in school and werewolves don’t harm animals.
And I thought I was a pretty big Snape defender... you have proved me wrong by taking it to a WHOLE new level, not just with regards to him but with EVERYTHING Slytherin 😂🤣😂
Snape is an asshole, nothing more or less. Movie Snape isn't as bad as book Snape but they are both pretty horribly people. And I could kind of excuse him being shitty to Harry because of what James did (even though, how is that Harry's fault?) but him being Neville's worst fear tells you pretty much all you need to know about him.
@@resathe6760 well, you are entitled to your opinion, just don't expect me to share it 😉
@@sarah4hp I think he is one of J.K.'s best written characters because he is as morally grey as he is and he is brave being a spy for Dumbledore, but you can't seriously consider him to be a good person
@@resathe6760 in a lot of ways I consider him to be a good person, but I also consider him flawed and problematic in other areas. He is a very complex character, and that is very much reflected in how I feel about him at different points in the story.
In the books Ron is not a coward. I don't know why they portray him that way in the films. Great reaction ✌
I don't think they portray him as a coward so to speak, he is definitely brave when it matters, he just just isn't going to pretend he's not scared when he is. Ron was willing to risk his life for the cause of taking down Voldemort at 11 went into a forest and was attack by large spiders(his biggest fear) and he still stays by Harry side not many people are brace enough to continue a journey when they are visibly petrified.
@@taneshadavis2432 that is definitely true, but they made him a bit of an idiot in the films and give a lot of his smart/cool lines to Hermione.
@@resathe6760 I agree they watered him down from the books significantly I just don't think Movie Ron was an "idiot" he was more like a sidekick in the movie where as 8n the book he was much more significant
@@resathe6760 The smart/cool lines made Hermione seem a bit of a know it all, on top of her own cool lines. Ron was made more relatable and funnier.
@@alicequinn505 definitely agree on the first one. Do you mean he was funnier in the movies? Because imo he is at least as funny in the books. And he would never agree with Snape when he calls Hermione a know-it-all even though he calls her that when they are on their own.
This is basically the turn when the series as a whole started to grow more darker and mature.
This is a new actor for Dumbledor because they original had passed away between the 2nd and 3rd movies.
For your question about places being allowed to use magic. Until you reach a certain age, you are not allowed to use magic outside of school. Once you are "of age" then you are allowed to use magic whenever you want, provided you don't do it in the presences of muggles since the wizarding world is suppose to be rather secret to non-magical individuals save for a few exceptions.
Most wizarding locations, like Hogwarts for example, are in the normal everyday world, but can only be accessed by magical means due to heavy charms placed on the locations. To a muggle, a place like Hogwarts might look like a bunch of very old dangerous ruins plastered with warning signs to stay away but if a muggle attempted to get closer, magical charms would effect their mind to make them think they left their oven on at home and needed to get back home immediately so they would turn around and leave.
Harry actually shouldn't have been doing lumos at the beginning. The dog barking could have been Sirius warning him.
If you go and watch the original punching scene again you can see future Hermione's hand on the stone wall in the background.
For the age of the main characters just add ten to the book number.
17+ can do magic outside school.
Dementors are wild creatures that feed off of happiness basically. The ministry have made an arrangement with the dementors to have them guard the prison. They're allowed to feed off the prisoners.
It was Fudge, the Minister of Magic, that sent the dementors to Hogwarts. Dumbledore did not allow them access Hogwarts so they were limited to patrolling the borders of the school.
the book definitely goes into more about the marauders and the marauders map, but the fandom even created like a separate fandom about the marauders and their time at hog warts in the 70s. really cool how a fandom can create their own content and lore and stuff
I love this one! Probably seen it 100 times by now, mostly reactions.
I don’t think Harry blew up his aunt on purpose. Strange things happen when he’s angry.
36:49 THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT MALFOY SAID EARLIER IN THE MOVIE 😂😂😂
5:36 well to be fair, she was full of hot air😅
So glad you caught Cuaron's joke about Harry "playing with his wand" in those opening scenes. He's a teenage boy now after all. :)
incase nobody has mentioned this before there is a good *magic* reason harry HAS to live with the dursleys, and ofc dumbldore is the reason for it lol. i can explain after movie 4? i forgot where in the books its explained but i think after movie 4 its most relevent i can say without spoilers. until then just know its for his own good lol
It's explained in the fifth book
They did not change the timeline, they only learned how it really happened. Within those limitations, they can act.
Mcgonagall objected to Harry being left with his Aunt and Uncle, she says so in the first film, And Harry's Uncle and Aunt are his Guardians of the Galaxy :)
Ok McGonagall... I'll let you off the hook this time
@@AdamfromFWCI 😄😄😄
Voldemort was promised the position of Defense against the dark arts by the previous headmaster after he graduated but when Voldemort eventually returned Dumbeldor was now Headmaster and said no because he could see how he changed. So Voldemort cursed the position, no one would e teacher for more than a year.
BTW: "Fun" fact: When Hermione punches Malfoy, he really did get NAILED by her on set, she of course didn't mean to. She just didn't pull her punch like she was supposed to, and yes his head did crack the rock behind her but if I recall it was foam or something...
fun behind the scenes fact. Emma could not get the fake slap down right so Tom (Draco) told her to just hit him for real. and he braced for the slap but Emma did as he asked and punched him. Tom and everyone on set was suprised by it. Emma said sorry you did tell me to hit you. Tom Felton being around such great named actors on the set for so long. just brushed it off and told Emma it was ok. "yes I did say to hit me. lol " so they kept it in the final cut. latter after the last move wrapped up. Emma let it be known that she had a crush on Tom Felton.
I just realized the minister, Fudge, (Robert Hardy) was the commandant in the Far Pavilions, one of my favorite movies.
The guy that played Malfoy is all grown up and a very engaging friendly person! He would have been an excellent Harry Potter. I like watching his videos. Very funny and interesting guy!
Madame Rosmerta (Julie Christie) starred in Dr. Zhivago.
You probably know, but Maggie Smith has been in film for ages.
I love how he complained about Harry having advantage in Quidich because of his new broom, but when the whole Slytherin Team got new brroms that no other team had, it was ok. The double standards worthy of the Slytherin House. What could you expect really...
I stand by my horrifically biased opinion lol
🐍😤🍻
you have the funniest reactions to these😂😂😂
The map was the marauders map meaning Moony (Lupin the werewolf) Wormtail (Peter who can turn into a rat) padfoot (Sirius who can turn into a dog) and Prongs (James Harry's dad who could turn into a deer of sorts)
Love watching your completely unbiased reactions😂 (honestly tho, love your ractions❤)
I am famously unbiased ;) lol
@@AdamfromFWCI of course 😂
Liking before watching.
I mean - you are so right!
now enjoying!
he snarled at harry to cause the boy to lift his wand as that is how one summons the knight bus a witch/wizard who needs a ride hold their wand out over the street to call it too them he knew that would get him safely to london
I have a problem with Marge's line about Harry's mother. She basically looked Petunia in the eye and insulted her and Dudley. If there is something wrong with Lily and Harry, there is something wrong with Petunia and Dudley. Same blood- that's why Harry's there in the first place.
She didn’t want leave Harry with the Dursley she Specifically told Dumbledore that they were the worst him that if he was sure that he wanted to leave him there. She did not sign the permission slip because of sirius he was on the loose and she wanted to protect him. And snape taking points away for Hermione for getting the correct answer not justified
Lol you must be one of the powerful enemies my Mrs warned me I'd make for saying things about McGonagall lol
But Snape taking those points is pure Street Justice! lol
@@AdamfromFWCI 😂 I guess, and also Dumbledore allowed the tree to be there because when lupin was a student that’s where he’d go to transform people should hear him howling and that’s why they thought it was haunted. I recommend checking out the channel movieflame he really goes into detail on each character’s background and the fan film Severus Snape and the marauders is also pretty cool if you wana see how badass snape is.

Good call!
It goes Live tomorrow but enjoy an early look
when a patronus isjust a sheild of vapor its pretty weak but when it takes the form of an animal it can woop as much ass as it feels the need to
The original Dumbledore actor passed away, this film took an extra month while they re-organized and replaced him. Both actors have amazing characteristics, but i prefer the 2nd.
This one is my favorite, and your reaction and comments again did not disappoint. I love you defending Draco even if it's sometimes for laughs because, yes, there are times I want to punch him in the nose, but other times I can't get people hating on him so harshly. Heck sometimes I want to give him a hug. Lol On to the next one.
Draco doesnt get enough love lol
This one is still my favorite. I'm loving how much you support Slytherin even though I'm a Gryffindor lol. Also, any classic or popular horror movie reactions would be cool. 💕
Half Blood Prince is exporting now....
Omg.... best movie ever!!!!
@@AdamfromFWCI Awesome! Looking forward to it.
😂Malfoy would not be saying that😂. The humour of Ronald saying that they might have to chop of his leg is the fact that it is almost exactly what Malfoy was saying about the scratch Buckbeak gave him.
Wound* the nearly fatal Wound Buckbeak gave him ;)
8:21 Muggles can't see the entrance to The Leaky Cauldron, at least that's what Harry thought.
Edit:
So nice to see Vincent Crabbe get his time in the limelight!
Awesome! Laughed the whole time. Not my favorite hp movie but one of my top 5.
That's not saying much given that there are 8 films.
Ravenclaw is the best house!!! 🥳✊🏻
Don't let Snape hear you say that 🐍
damn right it is 😂💙💛
Why was Sirius snarling at the start? He was pissed... Harry off on his own at night? Any adult with care for their younger family members would see that situation and be rightfully pissed. He should have been safe at home, not out where any mad wizard or
witch could do...anything... and then also he was pissed at the Dursleys for not keeping careful oversight of Harry... at least I'd imagine that's the reason, dunno bout the book's say on it as I haven't gotten there yet. But on my way.
You'll find that there are many liberties taken in this movie (such as Harry starting off the movie by using illegal magic with no consequence), and those liberties only get grander in the future movies.
The dementors were not his(Dumbledore)idea BTW, they were placed there by the ministry of magic Dumbledore never wanted them there
Thats what he wants you to think
@@AdamfromFWCI lol. Nah its in the books though lol
Hippogriff was not made up by JK Rowling. Actually a mythical creature. I first learned it back in my preteens back on the early 90s when I started playing DND. It is monster type in the DND world.
Just as the previous movie, the basilisk is also a creature in DND.
Actually both of these were in the Final Fantasy games on the Game Boy. :)
I don't know if anybody told you about the Marauders map. But it was created by Harry's father James AKA Prongs, Lupine AKA Mooney, Serious Black AKA padfoot and Peter Pettigrew AKA Wormtail. Because of lupine becoming a werewolf, the other three learned how to change themselves into animals. James Potter a stag. Serious Black a dog. And wormtail a rat.
It’s only underaged wizards who can’t use magic outside of school, once they turn 17 they’re legally allowed to do magic freely
remember how mcgonagal can turn into a cat well these guys can do that too but...
james/prongs was a stag
sirius/padfoot was a dog
peter/wormtail was a rat (in more ways then one)
...this is to keep their friend lupin/mooney a werewolf company safely when he trasforms the shrieking shack was for him to transform safely away fromothers ther tree was planted to keep other kids from getting in there the rat was small enough to hit a button on the tree to make it freeze up so the others can get to the path and they are large enough to keep the werewolf under control the "haunting/shrieking" was just werewolf howls its just a shack
The book explained that they planted the whomping willow there to block the secret tunnel to the shrieking shack. If something is trying to hit you you’re not gonna want to go near it and you won’t find the hole and it’s secret tunnel
So nice to have another Slytherin watching. I knew I was going to love these reactions when you called out Dumbledore's bullshit in the first movie with the house points at the end. The way all the slytherins get treated throughout the entire book and movie series is awful.
🐍🐍🍻
Yeah... we should be much kinder to Nazis lol
Slytherins are good people, the movies highlight the trash of the crop. I’m sure there’s shitty ravenclaws but blowing the bad slytherins in the movie is bad taste Draco is a whimp. Dumbledore knew everything and is the greatest wizard of all time. Im not slytherin but obviously love snape (fav character) I think being “housist” really stops being a thing after the first two movies and judging people on their overall character is better
I don't know if anybody's told you this but apparently in the books Voldemort cursed the position. That's why nobody else could get it or have it for more than one year. I think this is more clear in the books.
This is the movie where I found my best excuse for chocolate! (Keeps the dementors away!)
For Halloween, it would be awesome if you had time to watch the limited Netflix series (10 eps) The Haunting of Hill House. It delivers on the scares, but is also deeply character-focused, and it's one of the best things I've ever watched.
To this day, nobody knows the purpose of the "tiny Jamaican shrunken head" lol.
JKR Did not invent the hippogriff. The hippogriff was invented by the Italian poet Ludovico Ariosto (1474-1533), & appear in his poem Orlando Furioso.
I hope you were joking but if you genuinely believed Malfoy was gonna lose his arm after a little scratch then I'm genuinely worried 😂😂
I would never joke about the wellbeing of the champion of champions, Draco Malfoy ;) lol
Canon or nah i think since Lockhart lost his memory and knows that he's an author so he wrote another book i think he probably read all his works to get a clue who he is and now he's an even BIGGER fan of himself cause now he will think he ACTUALLY did those things since he has no memory of stealing the stories #HeadCanon
That's a big meeting lol
28:38 I'm SUPER late and probably you won't read this or already know it, but... the dementors are supposed to represent depression (J.K Rowlling was going through a hard moment in here life while writing some of the books). And chocolate helps with depression because it helps to increase serotonine and dopamine, thereby, it's good againts dementors!!
Adults are allowed to do magic just hopefully not in front of muggles. Kids aren't supposed to do magic outside Hogwarts but in a house or train full of underage wizards the Ministry can't tell who did it.
Trust Hermione to use a time-turner to take more classes. A patronus charm can take on a corporeal form similar to a spirit animal if it's strong enough.
Halloween? How about Halloween or Scream?
Waaaait, did you say your cat's name is Tilly?? I have a Tilly too! Cats with that name seem to always have big personalities 🤣

Not all of them. Emma Watson was younger
@@livb6945 true not all of them what I meant was by book 7 the Trio were 17 the actors and actresses were 20 21 . they didn't film a movie every year
I recommend "Carrie" 1976 version.
Heres something I always found weird. In Australia TV Stations treated that 70s version of Carrie like a typical family comedy. It would be on TV every 12 months or so at like 2pm on a Sunday. It always aired in really accessible times, which was weird for a horror movie.
So i have seen the main parts of Carrie before

JK did not invent the Hippogryph

I second this statement. Since the prefered house is Slytherin, the Draco and Voldemort stuff will be appreciated. So I agree.
YES!!! Remember to do the one with subtitles though so you miss none of the lyrics and dialogue though as the audience can drown it out on occasions.

Lol you might see Medusa in the next one
No Filtch is not dumbledore's right hand. You won't know his right hand man until later in the series.
omg this is why the movies REALLY fucked up by not ever telling the audience that Harry HAD to return to the Dursleys for the blood protection
For the horror movie recommendation, I'm not sure if it's too late, but maybe Silent Hill? The first movie, not Revelations.
I am so uninspired to watch a scary movie this year for some reason.
I plan on doing Coco, and maybe "Us" (since I did Get Out last year)
I want to do something scary, but also kind of old and campy like Jason or Freddy, I just dont know where to even start.
Is Silent Hill still your suggestion? lol, I'm so indecisive about this lol
@@AdamfromFWCI watching another type of movie is ok too ^^ don't force yourself to watch something you wouldn't enjoy. Silent Hill is an okay horror movie as it's not too scary and doesn't have that many jumpscares, and it's an adaptation of a video game that relies on atmospheric horror instead of jumpscares. It has an interesting premise and visuals. But don't watch it if you generally don't like horror movies. "Us" has a similar feel to Get out so if you liked that one, "Us" is a good idea.
Watch The Exorcist. (Evil laugh) scariest movie of all time.

Valid comment. I am borderline "in character" at times during these videos.
But the benefits.... I hope its different to the others, I hope it's usually entertaining and I hope it's enjoyable.

Time travel in this film is a loop. You can't change the past cause your future self would've already done it. You can't gain the hindsight required to do other than what your future self would've done. Your future self would've already gained that knowledge &, since nothing's changed, they must have failed at changing the past. You don't really have free will in this version of time travel. Pls watch Hereditary. Best horror movie ive ever seen
As a fellow snake it’s refreshing and amusing to see you be so utterly biased towards slytherin😂 but I cannot and will not support Draco or Snape. It’s not so bad in the movies but in the books they are not good people no matter how hard people try to make them out that way. Snape absolutely abuses his power and bullies students not in his house, especially Neville (hence his boggart). He’s iconic in the movies, but a petty old man in the books. Malfoy is just a coward and a bigoted bully but he’s young, so I’d count him as redeemable. I don’t particularly like Dumbledore either (for obvious reasons) and a lot of the gryffindors are idiots but McGonagall is a Queen and I stand by that 💚
Although I have to admit a lot of the stirs make them so much more likeable. Alan Rickman as Snape? Peak casting. Tom Felton as Draco? Best child actor in the series. Maggie Smith as McGonagall? Queen shit. That goes for so many no matter how much I like/dislike the character lol
If i can find a Snape fancy dress costume in my size.... its happening!
